  1. Sounds like an upgrade over Adarius Taylor (formerly Adarius Glanton) more than anything.
  2. I don't think that he's going anywhere. He still has a lot of upside. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.derp/platform/amp/2021/3/2/22307843/christian-miller-is-the-carolina-panthers-biggest-mystery
  3. Honestly, I'm glad he isn't Newton. Cam was/is a special athlete, but I'm sure a few would say the same about Lance. That aside, for me, I'm hoping that the biggest difference is decision-making!
  4. This is hardly the only video on Lance. Orlovsky says a lot of things contrary and that go against the grain. Hey, I could be wrong, but I'm OK with that. Orlovsky could be wrong also, as can Daniel Jeremiah, Booky Brooks, Greg Cosell and others! People must decide for themselves!
  5. Because of his arm strength m, running ability, physical makeup and decision making (including quick decision making). He also has the work ethic and leadership abilities that the others have (some might argue moreso). Read all the draft profiles. I'm not the first person that has said this!
  6. Respect, but journey on! We'll see you next season!
  7. I don't know how anyone can say that with surety! It seems a little disingenuous. Both have some issues, Lance's being that he likely just needs more reps! He's got all the intangibles and the highest ceiling in the class!
  8. You'd have to ask him that. Maybe he liked the massages!
  9. It was 5 in two games last year. I'm sure those were big factors in his 45 QBR rating.
  10. Damn, you gotta have some years on you, sir, to even remember vibes of Harold Carmichael. I saw Harold Carmichael play in person at the Vet back in 1973. He and Roman Gabriel were my favorite players at the time.
  11. See, that's the real deal. You like that "Disney star" thing!
  12. Plenty think that he should be paid like one apparently.
  13. Under the proposed question--the poll, which is based upon fantasy at this point, that's a decent answer, but those aren't real options. Another realistic option is draft a receiver that's superior to D.J. and/or acquire one in free agency. For me, the answer will be more clear after the 2021 season.
  14. It is what it is. For comparison's sake, from what we know so far Watson's behavior pales in comparison. That, and the fact that rich guys may even be able to get away with literal murder, I can see where Watson may not be in as much trouble as some believe. And, to be fair, he hasn't even been proven guilty in a court of law. I believe this situation is going to get a lot uglier. IMO, all the defense really has to do is impugn the testimony of one of the witnesses, or possibly even the veracity of some of Buzbee's personal claims (e.g., he doesn't know the McNair family), then the case(s) starts falling apart.
  15. Bunch of damned pansies! I won't eat their poo to this day because of it.
  16. I don't believe we'll do that, but we do have Teddy in the event that Tepper wants to gamble. Wouldn't it be ironic if Bridgewater was a reason why we decided to gamble that Watson will eventually be OK to continue his career?
  17. PJ better make a whole helluva better decisions than he did on the field in 2020. He looked decent before he started throwing INTs in the end zone!
  18. I think it's very much apropos to the discussion. Doesn't matter if it's a politician, businessman, movie director, actor, athlete or what.
  19. If we're not picking a QB or an LT, only then would I consider Pitts! But, I'm not taking him over Lance, Fields, Wilson, Slater or Sewell. After that, there would be a discussion about Pitts, Farley, Surtain or Parsons.
  20. Just the fact that they let a top 5 receiver get away for basically nothing should tell anyone all they need to know. Nuk wanted out, Watt wanted out and Watkins wants out. The Texans are a poo show!
  21. Judging a WR by this oft-mentioned stat in the Huddle is simplistic. No analyst in the NFL would do such. Not only should you consider the context, but more importantly you have to look at the ability to consistently beat the press, run crisp, concise routes, excel at a variety of routes, and catch the ball. D.J. is outstanding at some of these things, and ok to fair at others. The major players in advanced analytics think there are roughly 20 better receivers in the NFL based upon 2020. I tend to agree, but Moore is younger than most of these guys, so that increases his value in theory and probably practical terms. I don't know why you guys can't see that, but it's not a big deal. But, yeah, I thinks it's very humorous that you think Moore is going to be the highest paid receiver in the league when he hasn't earned that honor.
  22. Will Grier hasn't played enough to count for anything. Allen can throw, he just throws to the wrong team way too much. Just so you don't get it twisted, I think Moore is worth an extension, just not as a top 5 receiver in the league, because his play nor his relative progress earned that type of money IMO. I think that at this point the Panthers FO would probably agree with me, and will not pay him as a top 5 or 10 receiver in the league unless he ups his level of play in 2021. At that point, I'd be willing to give him that type of payday too. At this point, I'm not!
