  1. Honestly, as soon as you heard Person say "I don't get the sense...", the red flags and dingdongs should have gone off in your head!
  2. I wouldn't bet my life on Person's knowledge, but if true, they know what they're looking for, and the timetable in which they want to be legit contenders. They'll get leeway from me.
  3. Let me guess; you hate the moves and expect more misery in 2021?
  4. If I can get Minshew for a couple of more years for a 4th or later, I'm getting him. You're only talking 2 mil per year! He's an upgrade to somebody!
  5. Are you kidding? Minshew has an arm and doesn't play scared!
  6. Well to be fair, they gave up a lot, probably too much, but they are at a different point on the development spectrum than we are. We're rebuilding. They're trying to win a Super Bowl right now. In some sense, one could argue that it makes sense for them to bet the farm that a rookie QB might be able to do what Garropolo failed to do. I wouldn't have done it, and I certainly wouldn't have done it if I were in the Panthers' position. It's too risky! Frisco had better be right!
  7. Hey, you could be right, but Steve Young, presumably close to the 49ers, says Wilson or Fields! The Wilson part of the equation is assuming that he'll be gone at two. But if not, who knows? Stranger things have happened, but it doesn't seem like they'd have moved up to three if they really thought Wilson would be gone and wanted Jones. I mean, they'd have to really like Jones to give up that much, knowing that Wilson would likely be gone.
  8. From what I've read, mostly because @saX mangave us the heads-up, they are angling for Fields anyway. Steve Young believes they're OK with Wilson or Fields and that's why they moved to three.
  9. Sounds reasonable, but if someone decides to throw some bones the Falcons' way, we just may be screwed on the Lance math.
  10. Jones deserves a chance! He's just not what I would personally be looking for to be competitive in today's NFL. Moreover, I think you're projecting on the belief that he has Brady or Peyton-esque type of football processing up there in his dome. I'm going to have to see him do that as a pro before I believe it. To me, that would be something special and perhaps an advantage if he's truly on that level. But, today, I just see him as a a guy with a pretty decent floor, but a limited ceiling due to his lack of athleticism and ability to play off script.
  11. Inaccurate! At the end of the day, Teddy won't be getting 60 mil from us! Furthermore, paying a low-risk higher-reward type of QB 2 million is a far from Bridgewater's salary and circumstance! If we keep Teddy in 2021, we'll have to pay him near 23 mil. If we let him go, we'll be on the hook for 20 mil. If we ride it out and ax him next offseason (which has been the presumption for most), we'll only be on the hook for 5 mil.
  12. He's still young, not saying that ALL kids are so naive! He's young, inexperienced, and still trying to find himself and his way. Not saying that this is the case, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was brought up in an orthodox type religious setting! Sometimes that causes people to deal with the secular world in an extreme manner.
  13. He should have the money! I figure that two mil should be enough to make it all go away. As for the allegations, it's some creepy stuff! If true, it sounds like he was deeply concerned with keeping up the front of his public persona, so much so that he loathed the thought of being associated with prostitutes, and unfortunately "mistaked" professional masseuses and instagram models with call girls. Dude didn't want to admit who he is and just dwelve into the dark side.
  14. LOL. Honestly, it takes a certain amount of energy to keep arguing with people who try and twist your words every which way, call you a troll, and my favorite was someone telling me they didn't like me (not Varking, but someone else in this thread that I have ignored) all because of disagreements over football. I think it's telling when people resort to personal attacks instead of just staying true to the issue at hand. That being said, the ignore list is very freeing in many respects. More people should try it!
  15. At this point, Florio may be right: Watson should consider settling! I know some guys would still balk at the Panthers trading for him in the event that that happened, but I'd consider it (even if I wouldn't exactly jump at the chance). Watson would surely be a choir boy from then on...right? If not, he better step down in class of services!
  16. They shortened the preseason. You don't think that's a good trade-off. They were probably useless anyway, granted we'll never know how much. I guess some fringe players might be affected, but how many times do they end up playing, much less effecting the game, anyway?
  17. As a matter of fact @Varking, I'll beat you to it. You're now on my list!
  18. You think I give a poo about whether I'm on your list? Put me on your damned list! I am not trolling anyone, you fool! I am supporting a valid opinion. I don't want Teddy more than anyone else, I just realize that we may be stuck! I was against his contract, but crying about it all season long is not really productive. That's your shtick!
  19. We tanked because J.R. was more worried about the NFL shield than his own team! Show me any time where a top tier franchise tanked their way into excellence. Pittsburgh didn't do it! The Packers didn't do it! The Patriots didn't do it! Let's go down a step! Neither have the 49ers! The Ravens? No! The Seahawks? No! GTFOutta here with that bullsh¡t!
  20. What's lunacy is you believing that we're going to purposefully tank. That's the highest tier level of poo right there!
  21. Simms said that Mond is a better pure passer than Lawrence!
  22. No you don't. I'm not usually wrong at all! If you weren't so busy stroking your sensitive ego, you might learn something.
