That's really not the scenario I was speaking to... Of course any resolution at this point is probably going to be some type of compromise if things go as they have historically gone.
-
I fundamentally believe in second chances for most things. I kind of draw a line with brutal physical assaults, rape, murder. It's a case by case thing. For instance, Chad Wheeler beat the poo out of his girlfriend, and I wouldn't want him on the team. Ray Rice? No. Kareem Hunt? Probably not. Greg Hardy? Maybe. People may not like it, but that's just me.
-
It's certainly not definitive.
-
I think that all three of us would agree that it wouldn't be the best to trade for him right now, but where we may diverge in opinion is post-Watson legal issues and if and when he is cleared to play again. If the league office clears him at that point, like some of us are assuming will happen at some point, and if we are still in QB purgatory, that's a different situation.

Good feels, but we see the elephant in the room

Yeah, sure!

I don't think anyone is shitting on Darnold as much as they're keeping his performance in perspective. There were some good moments, but there were some sketchy ones as well...against the twos. I think for many people, we didn't really learn a damn thing about Darnold last night; we're still waiting for the season.
-
I get it too. LOL
-
There were more reports than that. Come on, Scot! Don't get selective with your reports. Like I told Kungfoo, you were all too happy to believe the reports about Fields... If there was as little interest as you're intimating, then Jones and Person wouldn't have used the language that they did in their tweets.
-
Yeah, man. Scot seemed to relish telling me how we weren't really interested in Fields, per reports, but I told him that just because we weren't interested doesn't mean that Rhule and company didn't fug up. Of course it's preseason, but everything I've heard says he's been nothing but the real deal.
-
He knows what the deal is. I don't really have to tell him. Sidestepping doesn't work with me.
-
No prediction?
-
Key words being "For now..." That's a qualification. No need for mental gymnastics and semantics.
-
LOL
-
To be fair, the door is still ajar, pending the outcome of his legal issues (this basically from reading Jones' and Person's tweet). If no one jumps before those are resolved, and I seriously doubt that they will though possible, then we will likely be in on the deal provided that he is "cleared" and we have no answer at QB.

And that's all you had to say. Your problem is that you want to call those with differences of opinion names--or maybe you just want to call names--behind an alt, as well as talk pure trash about the Huddle even though all this must mean something to you, or you wouldn't be hiding behind an alt (even though relative the anonymity of the Internet should provide enough privacy enough), unless someone on here IRL knows who you are. It's really a sign of immaturity.
-
Nah, now maybe you will shut the fug up...No? You're so predictable.
-
Well, there it is from an insider.
-
For the record, I never thought that he was a choir boy, but I don't believe he's a rapist either. I think he's a weirdo, and perhaps something akin to a pervert. I think he was foolish and obviously has some maturing to do. I don't think he's a bad person at his core, just a misguided youngish kid. I hope he's learning to be a better man, whether he ends up in Charlotte or not.
-
Well, there's smoke...even if it's a bit hazy (and sleazy).
-
I'm thinking that it could be 2023 even.
-
I never understood using an alt. It's the fuging Internet, on a message board. No one knows you unless you want them to. Be a man, bitch!
-
Nah, that's what we call a "smokescreen".
-
Says the alt. You're obviously a POS!
-
Yeah, but it's business. Every man that's going to get cut within the next few days has a story, and dreams...and some may never have this opportunity again. At least Darnold will be in the NFL for the short term at the very least. Why? Because he has some talent, and he was a first round pick. I feel for all of them. One man is no more special than the other.
