At the very least Rhule should lose personel decisions.
top dawg replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn't exactly call Henderson "big ticket", but even without that your point is valid. The "problem" is that we look good on paper (though from what I'm seeing, there's a disconnect with reality somewhere). Snow looks like he calls decent plays and has done enough to field an above average defense. Perhaps it just comes down to better execution, particularly on the money downs. If Snow could get that down, our defense on paper and our defense in reality would appear like one and the same. -
At this point, I could go either way because we're fuged either way. We just need to have a plan if he's dumped. Other than a few picks, the entire Rhule era would be a waste. If not a full-blown dumpster fire, there's certainly smoke seeping from the sides.

I just can't stand Aaron Rodgers.

I'm not really feeling a loss of Douglas or Byrd. I am feeling some type of way seeing Fields...
-
As I watched Rasul Douglas run it in for a pick six, I thought about how players just appear to look better once they leave here. Probably just me though. Well hell, there goes Damiere Byrd from Justin Fields. How ironic.

Panthers officially eliminated from the playoffs
top dawg replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why do people keep saying we're officially eliminated? We may be unofficially eliminated (and that's probably the case for a few weeks), but we're NOT officially eliminated. -
We're playing plenty of young players. Our problems lie in the QB situation, the O-line situation, and lack of execution which bespeaks of a problem with coaching. Rhule and probably Tepper either directly or indirectly need to reflect upon what it means to rebuild--be realistic about the fact that shortcuts don't exist and begin fixing the problems that they've created by ill-advised decisions on offense and being irresponsible with extensions and draft capital.

Does anyone bother listening to the post-game pressers?

This is the face of a lost man...

Not gonna cry about NFL owners paying coaches money. It doesn't affect the cap one bit. Not one of them is hurting for money. -
Damned tearjerker Chevy commercial

Deviation from the Original Plan.. Is the Reason for this Mess..
top dawg replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Perhaps. It fully depends upon who and what you're trading for. A young, ostensibly talented player like Henderson, I don't mind. A young Darnold who has a bad track record, I mind (especially when it's obviously an overpay). -

I think they wanted to compete while rebuilding. That's not a foreign notion. You improve year by year. They've become impatient probably because of feeling Tepper's pressure. -
Person: Rhule could be next, but probably not this year
top dawg replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, I'm not saying Person is wrong, because anyone can guess given these circumstances, but Person's track record doesn't bespeak of accuracy. -
I've been talking about Minshew.

I knew this thread would be good for some laughs. Enough said.

Cam Newton should be done as a starting QB in this league
top dawg replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will say that I'm just as much on the fence about Cam as I ever was, and that's a shame. I always wanted him to reach the highest of heights and could never have imagined he'd fall to the lowest of lows. He may have grown as a man, which is the priority at the end of the day, but I've yet to see his growth as a player, and unfortunately he may not get another opportunity to live up to that potential. What you see and have seen might be his best. -
Yeah, durability concerns were my thing with CMC. Then, Fournette went down and Cook went down, and I was feeling pretty secure. Then all hell broke loose, and it doesn't look to be contained. My concerns have been manifested. But, this too shall pass.

LOL @ Tepper selling the team. He's the richest owner in the NFL. He doesn't give a poo about a few million. It's lunch money.
-
Good luck and best wishes, Scot. We'll be thinking of you and the Lady.

You just can't overpay for RBs. You just can't.

Ha ha! @Zod and I were on the same wavelength at the same time.

Official Panthers at Dolphins Playoff Push GameDay thread
top dawg replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Where is CMC in the passing game? WTF is Brady doing? Are we saving CMC to next year? Is he hurt? Why in the fu<k is he on the sideline? I mean Abdullah is cool and all, but he's not CMC.
