  1. That's a low bar, my friend. Do you think Tepper would bet on the Panthers to win either of the last two games? I don't.
  2. When Darnold hits the DB right between the numbers...again.
  3. Person was in on the presser the next day after the story aired. I believe the Panthers may have some control as it relates to TC and such, but I'd figure that they still must be subject to NFL policy regarding press availability. The Athletic is not a fly-by-night outfit.
  4. I'd be all-in for Jim Harbaugh as the Panthers' next head coach!
  5. I mean, how much time did he have? How many years did it take his brother to win (if we're using that standard)? Come on, man, in two seasons, he had his team in the Super Bowl.
  6. He has owned the team since July 2018. That's not quite 3½ years of ownership, plus it's really being intellectually disingenuous to blame the 2018-2019 season on Tepper. Like I said: you can make a point and be honest with the facts.
  7. You know, you're on to something. That's Rhule's biggest problem; he's an arrogant know-it-all, without the ability to adapt--game situation or otherwise--and unwilling to take any responsibility for players' retrogression as a team and as individuals.
  8. I mean, it all seems like rhetoric anyway. Why regurgitate it to see that it's only vomit? And, yes, that's a rhetorical question.
  9. A college team is not going to beat any NFL team, period! You're disrespecting men who've already achieved a certain amount of success in college, plus have some professional experience. Come on, man. Alabama and anyone else would get dragged.
  10. I still like Robby, as unpopular as it may be here, but he's got to man up and see it from a fam's perspective. All the money & time my family and I have invested in the Panthers since 1993--hell, my son just gave me an 89, 1 and "that bear" bobblehead for Christmas--Robby has to look at the other side. I have a right to boo and be critical of anything and anybody that I want as it pertains to the Panthers. I've been a Panthers fan longer than he has been a player, longer than Rhule has been the coach, and longer than Tepper has been the owner. Own better, coach better and play better, and the boo birds will sing a different tune!
  11. Christensen should get better with more experience, and with having better players next to him. That's the way this usually works, but the Rhule Effect may stunt his growth and potential.
  12. Yep, I apologize to Star and his seeming nonchalant demeanor.
  13. Tepper won't fire him if we have a winning record. I just don't believe it. Meanwhile, we've gotten to the point where just being competitive would seem like a massive breakthrough.
  14. He's not even as good as Star, and has never been.
  15. If rebuilding a team "takes time", why did you carry on like we're in win-now mode and not just take our lumps with the QB situation, as opposed to spending good money and draft capital on middling to bad QBs? Why pass up on Justin Fields for Sam Darnold? It takes time to make things worse--dig an even bigger hole--and then try and fix it during your third draft without making the whole even deeper also. Time isn't infinite, and there is nothing magical about seven years.
  16. Kevin Patra of NFL.com has begun to paint the picture here in Carolina. This can't make Tepper happy. "The Panthers are a mess that Rhule can't seem to clean up. Every button he's pushed this year has sunk Carolina deeper into the waste." https://www.nfl.com/news/matt-rhule-panthers-fans-booing-team-loss-buccaneers Granted, the preponderance of the article is a collection of the "colorful" quotes from Rhule's presser--minus the JayZ reference--but it still sounds like the drivel of a lost man that, at the very best, is drunk on his own Kool-Aid and, at worst, under the influence of something else, or a coach that is out of his league. At least he apologized. One thing is for sure now, we know that Tepper has to know. What he does about it will likely have some repercussions on fan attendance and interest in the 2022 season.
  17. Ha Ha. I thought of the Emperor Has No Clothes in relation to Tepper and Rhule last week. No sh¡t!
  18. First off, it's much too soon to be calling the Henderson trade a bad one. Darnold's was the dumb one that became just stupid when they exercised the 5th year option. And secondly, I don't see 18 mil to Sam as a deterrence to signing another QB. Now you may be right about him being under center, but that's because of Rhule's arrogance and incompetence, not because we are just hog-tied financially.
