TE Eric Ebron wants to play for the Panthers
top dawg replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Simply put: no he has not. Between his slippery hands and injuries, he's been an effective first round bust. But that doesn't necessarily mean that he can't help our offense. Some think that he's washed, but he's only a 29-year-old TE who might come in as the best we have. -
TE Eric Ebron wants to play for the Panthers

Not gonna hurt for him to compete. He's only 29. He's likely better than anyone we've got. -
I mean, it was a boom-boom play. He really didn't have a chance.

Where's the overreaction? I said, take from the scores what you will. We already know that we're a little thin on the D-line and probably need acquisitions. The depth for the O-line is suspect, but most teams can probably say that. We'll know a little more after Friday evening.

Thanks to Anthony Rizzuti of Panthers Wire 1. QB Baker Mayfield: 80.5 2. OL Cade Mays: 79.1 3. WR Keith Kirkwood: 78.4 4. WR Derek Wright: 77.2 5. TE Giovanni Ricci: 75.5 33. TE Jared Scott: 46.5 34. C Pat Elflein: 45.6 35. QB Matt Corral: 43.3 36. RG Austin Corbett: 31.9 37: TE Nate Becker: 30.3 1. LB Cory Littleton: 92.8 2. CB Duke Dawson: 90.1 3. CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver III: 82.1 4. LB Brandon Smith: 81.5 5. CB Tae Hayes: 77.0 31. LB Julian Stanford: 37.7 32. DT Daviyon Nixon: 37.4 33. LB Isaiah Graham-Mobley: 36.4 34. DT Bravvion Roy: 36.0 35. DT Frank Herron: 30.2 Take from it what you will. I would like to see all the grades, but I will say that it appears that the depth at DT is bad, while the same at CB looks good. Our LB corps may not be great, but its floor is probably average at worst. All in all, these grades are probably a pretty accurate reflection of the team's strengths and weaknesses at certain positions. If you want to read the little no-account words that accompany the grades here it is: https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/lists/panthers-pff-grades-panthers-commanders/

Seriously, 3-5 reps per practice. I don't see how anyone can justify that. Y'all can try, but that number of reps is a joke.
-
I'd have rather seen Corral go somewhere else with the joke of the number of reps he's getting. If Baker is going to start and Sam is going to be the backup, then there's no reason for him to be here. It's not like people are going to line up to pay Darnold after this season. And if Baker can play at least to the level of Jake or Cam, I doubt that he's going anywhere.
-
Corral stood out for all the wrong reasons, but it should be understandable considering Rhule relegating him to mental reps. I haven't forgotten how Rhule said that he thinks Corral is progressing faster due to mental reps.
-
Harstfield, Barno, Hayes and Dawson. Hartsfield has developed nicely, I might add. Xavier Woods will ball for us this season.
-
It is what it is, but context does matter. Some of y'all are acting like you didn't see the game. Furthermore, I doubt that Ridder, Howell or Willis have had as little snaps as Corral. Rhule has mismanaged Corral's reps from the very beginning. It's stupid--damned near criminal. There are three vets in front of him, and he's relegated to doing a dumb dance on the sidelines which Rhule has overvalued the significance of called mental reps. It's criminal! And, BTW, the O-line in front of him was way worse than what we had last season. SUBSTANTIALLY worse! And you know that has to be awful.
-
Worse ball team? Even if you believe that, the back end of their roster is arguably better than the back end of ours. Howell had plenty of time to throw down field, Corral had people in his face almost immediately. He was rattled, missed about three throws, and just never recovered. It was obvious. It was also out of character. He was an accurate QB in college. He faced the perfect storm today, but he'll ultimately end up on track with more quality reps. It's all good though. Let people have their fun and knee-jerk reactions.
-
That's the size of it, but the haters are reveling in his misery. I never thought that I'd see the day, but this is the Huddle. His number of reps has been a joke, and the protection today was awful. He was rattled, which was an understandable conclusion.
-
Based off playing our 4th stringers, he looked pretty good.
-
The line was abysmal.
-
He's seeing real people with white on in the pocket.
-
Wow.
-
These idiots are blind.
-
I don't know ow what's more frustrating, how Rhule has handled Corral, or some of these comments.
-
We wanted him with the first, or at least the second string. Not too much you can do when someone is basically in your face.
-
PJ ain't gonna win us poo.
-
Barno
-
It's starters going against second and third stringers. Come on, man.

Slye doing Slye things.
