  1. It's cool. A 6th & 7th is really nothing in the grand scheme of things, even for a guy with an injury history that drops 1 out of 10 passes.
  2. No one in mind, just wondering why get a receiver with a 10% drop rate. I guess they think he's an upgrade over someone. He's a let-down though amid the Mims banter. Granted the compensation for Mims would have presumably been higher.
  3. Perhaps. Sometimes you cut your losses and move on as opposed to dragging things out. Who knows what they have up their sleeves.
  4. I don't know why this is so difficult for some to understand.
  5. PFF is just a tool. You must understand context. Moore hardly played. Teck was playing against the scrubs.
  6. When Baker has this consistency and accuracy, I'll compare him to Brees.
  7. I think that there's a very high likelihood that even if Rhule goes, Fitterer stays. Sure, I could be wrong, but I'd bet that he stays. He's made some good signings this year.
  8. Winning cures all, for sure; But I'm compartmentalizing. The Darnold trade was about as bad of a gamble in FA for a potential franchise QB who had showed so little during his first three years as you'll likely ever see. The Baker trade was about as low-risk and high-reward that you'll probably ever see for a potential franchise QB in FA based upon his body of work. The respective value of each trade relative to what we paid based upon body of work tells a story unto itself (before the results even play out).
  9. It's kinda time to let that go. There is an argument that acquiring Mayfield for a song and a dance made up for that.
  10. We can still do better. I'm not saying that it's crucial. For example, If Philly drops UDFA Reed Blankenship, we should explore possibilities.
  11. Can't really be a bust if you were a day-three draft project to begin with. He's a dissapointment, but that's simply because some were strongly rooting for the big fella.
  12. I don't see anything weird about earning support. He's got default support just by virtue of being the starter. If he wants to deepen that support, he must show better than what he did during two out of the last three seasons (I'll personally discount his rookie season as a wash). The depth of his support will depend upon his play, and that's how it should be in my opinion. He needs to showcase better play in crunch time, better accuracy on his touch throws, and better decision making and ball protection. If he can do that, then his support will strengthen.
  13. The only thing that's going to get rid of Erving is the Rhule Curse [Does anyone need explanation?], but Irving seems like he's immune to it. Rhule genuinely seems to value Erving as a lineman. "He's so athletic! He can play any position..."
  14. Thanks to our friends at Panthers Wire (which some of y'all try to rag on), we have a snapshot of the best and worst of Friday night. The sample size is relatively small, and many if not most of the Bills' ones weren't playing--and it was preseason--so take the grades with a grain of salt (and remember that context matters). 1. LG Brady Christensen: 86.6 2. RG Austin Corbett: 79.3 3. OT Dennis Daley: 75.3 4. LT Ikem Ekwonu: 72.5 5. QB Baker Mayfield: 68.6 25. WR Rashard Higgins: 51.7 26. OL Cade Mays: 49.7 27. TE Josh Babicz: 38.8 28. RG Deonte Brown: 37.0 29. QB Sam Darnold: 30.2 --------- 1. DT Bravvion Roy: 93.4 2. LB Frankie Luvu: 92.5 3. DT Derrick Brown: 92.1 4. LB Damien Wilson: 90.2 5. LB Cory Littleton: 87.5 28. S Juston Burris: 53.1 29. DE Brian Burns: 52.0 30. CB Kalon Barnes: 51.5 31. CB CJ Henderson: 41.1 32. LB Josh Watson: 28.8 A few reflections: -Our LB corps keeps proving that its potential is pretty damned good. I'm saying it: Luvu is the real deal! -Ickey seems to be moving right along. -Poor Sam -Not quite sure what happened to Henderson (Jackson did say he "played like ass" in his not-impressed thread). Maybe his legs aren't all the way back. -What can Brown do for you? Not too much, it seems. --Mays was bad at OT, but OG can work. "Mays and Brown find themselves in the bottom five. The former allowed one pressure over 23 snaps at left guard and eight at 8 tackle." -BC is developing nicely. -I think that it's time to upgrade Burris -Slow down on your trip to Hollywood (decent depth, nada más). 15. Not on the depth chart. Plus, he started over Foreman.
  16. Your basing this off of so few snaps is just dumb.
  17. Cade Mays looks pretty damned good for a sixth rounder also.
  18. I want to be clear: I think Chuba is a solid if unspectacular runner, who has the ability to make some things happen, particularly if he can get to the second level. He ran hard behind a bad line, but...his hands are anesthetized. You can't be taken seriously in the NFL as a stone-handed two-down back.
  19. Not according to the depth chart. Also, Chuba started the game last night.
