The Hottest Seat in the NFL - Canfora on Rhule
top dawg replied to Paa Langfart's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tomorrow should be the death knell of the Rhule era. -
“Are the Panthers becoming perennial Losers?”
top dawg replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah, his underlying demeanor, including his outburst on the sidelines last season, belies the fact that he's not OK with it. He was very hopeful and optimistic that Mayfield would magically help to turn things around--including the culture, but we've sucked for the first couple of games and Robbie is frustrated like everyone else. -
I would think that a marked percentage of Panthers fans actually do care, though they say they don't, but I think it's more about stoicism than not caring. I think we care, but just realize that it ain't sh¡t that we can do about it but just observe until if/when things get better. It's certainly not a good feeling, but it's not anything that's going to keep us awake at night.
-
Honestly, this probably is amusing, but I have nothing to compare it to, as I stopped listening to Rhule's bullshit after we lost to the Browns.

I'm watching the Panthers, regardless. That's what I do.

They're making Brissett look good.

Sean Payton to coach in 2023 for the right team
top dawg replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
Payton will consider Dallas, LAC, or Miami according to an article I read last night. McDaniel is all the rage right now, so Miami probably isn't happening if they keep winning. -
Easy upgrade!

Yeah, all those batted balls haven't affected the game, nor missing wide open receivers (which he did in Cleveland), or the fact that he simply bails from the pocket immediately...that has nothing to do with us being where we are. Baker may not be the only problem, but he's definitely a problem.
-
I think it's more excuses. I know that Darnold just refused to get the ball out on time because I watched him. I haven't seen Baker as much, but I know that he's done it at least once. Baker needs to step up into the pocket and throw. He needs to work on timing and making his reads. I seriously have a hard time believing that receivers who were getting open for years have simply forgotten how to get open. Maybe it's a scheme thing, but routes are pretty much the same everywhere.

Easy fix here, draft Bryce Young and hire Ken Dorsey
top dawg replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
I just read a report that Payton was interested in three teams. We aren't one of them. -

Bryce is smallish. -
Is there any reason to keep Robbie Anderson after this year?
top dawg replied to Snake's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why would he want to stay here? I say he's a trade candidate, but CMC is the first guy that we should be looking to trade (while he still has some good value). -
Marshall ain't done poo yet. Robbie being basically triple covered allowed more to get open for the TD. Ickey is a rookie. Horn is a rookie for all intents and purposes. Henderson doesn't really have that much practical experience. We need to give them time. We can also see the development of BC. Hopefully Mays can follow a similar path.

Winston playing with fractured vertebraes
top dawg replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Saints are arguably the best offense that we've faced so far. Jameis, cracked vertebrae or not, Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry shouldn't be taken for granted. -
Does Tepper keep Fitt and let him hire his own coach?
top dawg replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Drafting players was not Fitterer's responsibility in Seattle. He is regarded fairly highly for a reason. -

Fitt is respected in league circles for a reason. Talent evaluation is one of those reasons. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. -
Meh. People need to remember that for all intents and purposes, this is essentially Horn's first year. He's still learning and making the transition from the college game. Once he develops, he'll be the cream of the crop.

Rivera on roids as far as roster management
top dawg replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn't be surprised. Players need to sit down, if nothing else but to get their head together, if they're not getting it done. You can't just be pigheaded and continue to play a player based on preseason when the live bullets start flying. Neither Shi, Roy or Hubbard have done enough in the league to just stick with them when there are other players behind them with potentially more upside. I'm not saying that you don't get them in the game, but you have to let others get an opportunity. Go with the hot hand at least until someone earns their role. -

Anderson? He hasn't dropped one this year. Out of all the things you mention, you mention Anderson. Come on, dude.
