Robby Anderson went OFF on Jonathan Stewart -Riot Report
top dawg replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Talk what way? Did I not say that football-related criticism is fair game? Talking derogatorily about his mental aptitude, manner of speaking or the way he dresses is really uncalled for. As one who is educated, has a wife as an educator, and has taken a course or two dealing with vernaculars, communication, psychology and such, I know ignorance when I see it. I also know when it ignorance morphs into stupidity (and other things). I've seen it in reference to Robbie and others plenty of times. -

I said that Robbie communicates effectively, and anyone that suggests otherwise is simply focused on what they perceive as low hanging fruit. They make fun of his manner of speaking. They make fun of his wicks. What next? This all speaks to making fun of one's culture, history and possibly even heritage in some respects. It's not cool. It's distasteful, if not downright ignorant, or possibly stupid. I'm not going for it. Speak to his perceived maturity and keep criticisms football-related. -
It's not like Rhule has died. He'll still be Matt Rhule at whatever plumb college job he gets. This guy will have no dearth of material.

It's all a matter of price and the actual payment.

All of y'all taking shots at Robbie's mental aptitude are just full of poo, plain and simple. I've heard Robbie speak. He's a thoughful guy. Just because he doesn't use the King's English doesn't make him mentally challenged. Robbie communicates very effectively. -

I agree. He should've let it go. He's obviously still feeling some type of way. But, the best way to get at people that you perceive have wronged you is to have success. I will say that this is Huddle sensationalism. I guess that's what happens when the Panthers are so historically bad. -
Any pro team would take a college team's lunch money, SEC or not.

No one's bigger than the "program." In my opinion, that's a word that should be banned from pro coach-speak. fuging "program..."

Seriously. Do you think that it's just sheer coincidence that Walker basically attempted four passes past the LOS yesterday? Do you think that Walker's worst game just coincidentally happened once Wilks became HC? Wilks signed off on that sh¡t show of attack yesterday, and added to it by shutting the team down with approximately 90 seconds in the half and three timeouts remaining. Passing was not in Wilks' vocabulary yesterday, unless it was passing on an attempt to play big boy football and push the ball down field.

It's also proving that Huddlers have gotten to the point where they accept sub-mediocrity---hell, just bad, as normal.
-
Bunch of coach-speak, but that's not a surprise.
-
We were never going to get that for him in this offense. Yesterday didn't do the the any favors, so much so that some thought that he was not tradable. I knew that that was balderdash. So... Anyway...I am in the you-get-as-many-picks-as-you-can camp, and always have been. Sure, day 3 picks ate obviously not as valuable as day one and two picks on their face, but they can always be used to acquire unforeseen talent, or talent that may have some issues, or even be packaged to acquire other talent during the other rounds. That's not to say that you hold on to picks for dear life when other options become available elsewhere, but even picks in rounds 4-7 have their importance.

I didn't have any doubt that Anderson would be gladly picked up. That's why I scoffed at Huddle posts expressing that sentiment. The perception of Robbie here vs around the league were at odds with one another. The Huddle bubble can warp your mind if you let it.
-
We sure do have different perceptions regarding Robbie, I'll give you that. Just know, that I'm not the only person that has that take on the situation.
-
You raise yours! He had a right to be upset. I'd rather have 11 guys that hate losing and let you know it than 11 who accept it with a smile and say nothing. Robbie has been the target of many posts in this forum that raise eyebrows from where I come from. I wish him well. Deal with it!
-
Thank the heavens. Now I won't have to listen to suspect, stupid ass comments on the Huddle...Oh, wait!
-
Now, who will the Huddle move on to next? I bet it's going to be a receiver...
-
It would be difficult to root for this team if that charlatan ends up here.

This is about the only sensible post in this thread.

Wow!

It' s indefensible, yet you have some attempting to tell me that it was an NFL-level game plan. That's something you might consider doing if you're down to your emergency QB, not a professional QB.

Our defense is stunted by the offense, point blank and period. It has given the offense three pick-sixes I'm three weeks, has dealt with little rest and short fields, and it still has limited the opposition to point totals that would've allowed a credible offense to win.
