Official hey the Panthers are wearing black helmets GameDay Thread!
top dawg replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's why Burns will always have value. Not only the pressures, but he gets respectable sack numbers. -

No contact obviously -
He needs to test the CBs. I don't like the play calling.

Terrible pass to TMJ

Locking in on Moore is not what PJ should be doing. -
Smith: "Evan Cooper wasn't qualified to have a job"
top dawg replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, Smitty wasn't perfect and might be an asshole as a teammate or in general at times, but that doesn't necessarily make him a terrible human. Rae Carruth was a terrible human. Perhaps Aqib Talib, but certainly his brother, is a terrible person. Smitty did some bad things as a younger and immature man, but he's matured. -
Well, I thought that we should've drafted Fields. He was certainly a better prospect than any QB last year and this year. Hell, he was arguably a better prospect than Football Fabio who was drafted ahead of him.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. A young, productive proven pass rusher will always be highly valued. Dude hasn't even hit his prime yet.

Trading Moore for a first round pick was a nonstarter. Not only is he worth more than that from a market perspective, when you consider the cap hit that came with it for us, it just didn't make any sense. So, no, Fitt shouldn't have done that. I think he absolutely should have pulled the trigger on Burns, but Burns is young with plenty of trade value. His stock didn't start or end at the trade deadline.
-
Well it's because you haven't looked.
-
His career passer rating is 97.3. Just stop trying to suggest that he can't pass. It's not true.
-
If you're basing his prowess on passing stats alone, you're simply missing the total picture.
-
It's not like he can't pass. That's not their offense. You're getting it twisted. He's a true dual threat---arguably the best in history.
-
He is Baltimore! I don't get the suggestion to not pay your true franchise QB. Are you going to let a QB that you drafted and accounts for so much of your offense walk away when it comes time to pay? That doesn't sound like a good plan to me. Actually it low-key sounds insane.

You have to get in on the deal. As bad as we need a QB, you have to try.

Brugler: Next year's quarterbacks "not universally loved"
top dawg replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rex Ryan said that on that score, you always take the guy with the talent. -
That's really exactly how I feel, and really how I wished most Huddlers felt, but if they did we wouldn't be having this highly inciteful--err, insightful discussion.
