Any native Ecuadorians or expats on here with experience in Ecuador. Would it be a good country to retire in and set roots?
-
One thing about it, all you really have to do is look at a heat map of Shenault's catches the last couple of years, and also ask yourself why he was traded to see if there is any validity to the issue. I provided you last time with people who had not only watched tape but actual games, but it's your right to continue to believe what you want. I seriously doubt that Fitterer and Reich would draft at pick 39 a receiver that we already had for all intents and purposes, especially since Shenault is only 24 years old.

Mingo tracks the ball well. Shenault does not.

That's B.S. Our FO has never tried to tank. JR was making a statement in regards to the CBA that began before the season even started. He was clearing house for a rebuild. Tepper already told you that he doesn't believe in so-called "tanking." It doesn't even matter because players aren't going to tank, period. They are professionals. The term "any given Sunday" exists for a reason. Moreover, players and coaches will always provide a firewall against the whims of an unscrupulous owner.
-
I think that it will go away if he stays mostly healthy this first season.
-
Apparently Reich, Brown and McCown did. What your problem is, I don't know. What's trying to be expressed, that you seem not to be understanding is that it's extraordinary for an inexperienced college freshman to not only see the play, but have the balls to change the protection. I guess that you missed the part where they said some pro QBs can't even do those things. I get that you're nonplussed about the Young pick, but do you have to be so damned petty and negative about everything? Good grief, dude! Damn, "Debbie" doesn't befit a dude.

Baker was a big disappointment. I didn't think that he was all that and a bag of chips when he came here, I didn't think it when he left, and I certainly don't believe it now. He most certainly doesn't have the processing speed, the touch, the decision-making, or the mobility of Bryce.

Panthers Fan Reaction to the 2022-23 Season
top dawg replied to Wolfcop's topic in Carolina Panthers
Explain. He's a comedian. I don't see how it's cringy at all. As a Packers fan, he surely captures the essence of what fans of other teams are feeling. He also offers analysis as well. He hated that we traded the Bears D.J. Moore. -
Well, I think it's about the intent behind the joke. As well, at least in my mind, I think that the story is more about the resemblance between the two than a mildly amusing (and perhaps perverse) joke.
-
You do realize sarcasm, right? The point is that tanking only exists in the minds of desperate people. It does not exist for professionals fighting to keep their jobs. I can play the what-if game on most things. It's not really a productive exercise. Just deal with what is and hope for a better future. That's all you can do when you're really not part of the planning or decision-making.

I decided to use better images, but you get the point . Funny how fans pick up on things. Young is more baby-faced of course. Images from SoundCloud & DawgNation, respectively. "They even drew some similarities between him and Warriors star Jordan Poole. One fan labeled Young as "Jordan Pond", indicating him as the smaller version of Poole. " Fans are funny as hell. https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/news-nfl-fans-troll-bryce-young-smaller-version-jordan-poole-panthers-qb-gets-spotted-lakers-vs-warriors-game?key1=sportspydernfl&utm_source=sportspyder&utm_medium=nfl

Maybe if we had beat Tampa, then we may have gone on to get into the playoffs and won a championship, because everyone knows that "anything can happen in the playoffs." Any given Sunday...and all that jazz. One never knows...

The rabbit hole of what-if has led to fantastical greatness, trophies and rings.

Ah, another premature thread. Our coaches are smart. Let's let them develop Young as they envision(ed). Comparing Young to anybody but Young at this point is comparing apples to oranges. Comparing this current coaching staff to the last one is like comparing a rotten tomato to a ripe pineapple.

Panthers invite XFL player to mini camp
top dawg replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was like, "Where have I heard that name before?" Then, @rodeo posted the Texans video, and I was like, "Oh yeah, this is a guy that I had put on my watchlist for fantasy purposes that never broke out despite being supposedly talented and so much bigger than everyone else." As for being a red zone threat, I've heard that before too. Bill gave up on him (not O'Brien, who gave up on him too, the other one): https://www.google.com/amp/s/nesn.com/2020/11/patriots-new-tight-end-jordan-thomas-could-develop-into-red-zone-threat/amp/ Sorry, guys, I can't get excited until I consistently see something excited to get about. I'd rather try Ebron. -
Potential $1.2B Panthers stadium renovation discussion
top dawg replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep, #Greedflation is a motherfuger these days, so much so that some economists are warning about an end to capitalism. https://www.google.com/amp/s/fortune.com/2023/04/05/end-of-capitalism-inflation-greedflation-societe-generale-corporate-profits/amp/ But, I digress...Tepper can really afford his own poo, but local politicians in Charlotte (like any major municipality) have their greased hands in pockets and cookie jars. -
The Charlotte Observer reported 4.4 speed. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article251081794.html

Person: Tepper indicates he's learning and changing his approach
top dawg replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've said that Tepper was learning all along, while others were insinuating he was a bad, meddlesome, inept owner (if not flat out dogging him out). No one, even older heads, wants to have patience anymore. Life should teach you certain things... that's if you're willing to be open-minded and learn. -
I liked his interview and love his attitude.
-
I think it will all come down to coaching and Mingo's ability to learn and make the transition. I'm thinking that they're thinking that it would be great if Mingo follows the footsteps of his predecessors from Ole Miss. I think that's the highest expectation. I think that if things go right, at worst he'll become a solid option in the same vein as Anquan Boldin.
-
Yep. I was wondering why---well, highly frustrated really---they won't open up the playbook for him, and that's when I came across the ball tracking issues.
-
I wouldn't classify Mingo as a "non-vertical" type of receiver. He has that in his arsenal.
-
Damn, was still editing, but you get the point. Shenault is an incomplete receiver, still, who came into the league with some issues. You can suggest that he doesn't, but that's really the reason why he's here as opposed to Jacksonville. Why do you think we play him as a gimmick player? Why do you think almost all his receptions are close to the LOS? This is a fair assessment of Shenault for anyone that's honest. "Lacks the wiggle and quickness to shake cornerbacks. Separation will be a struggle for him. Doesn’t track the ball well downfield. Will lose track of his feet and allow too many passes that reach his hands to end up on the ground" https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/player/48103/ "Shenault does have two points where he struggles when it comes to catching the ball. First, he seems to have difficulty tracking balls over his shoulder, particularly on longer routes. He also seems to struggle maintaining his focus while jostling with defenders and won’t get his hands up in time to catch the ball, which was also particularly prevalent on longer routes (sense a theme?)." https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.acmepackingcompany.com/platform/amp/nfl-draft-2020-packers/2020/1/24/21079655/2020-nfl-draft-prospect-profile-laviska-shenault-jr-wr-colorado "Saw him sit down in a zone quite a few times against Oregon, though he’s not often used in that role (had him run a lot of deep routes). Really wish you’d see him snap to a ball rather than fade to it, as he essentially gives away where the ball is going rather than adjusting at the last possible moment. He also had some severe ball-tracking issues. His quarterback wasn’t great, so we saw this more than you’d hope. He has strong hands, but I don’t think he’s aggressive enough when the ball is hanging-up in the air." https://www.fantasypros.com/2020/03/laviska-shenault-isnt-a-lock-to-produce-immediately-2020-nfl-draft/
