  1. Top five O-line...? I like your energy. I hope. Top five O-line and top 10 D-line (at minimum), and we might just surprise this year, eh? Esketit!
  2. It's a little early to be thinking about that, but I will say that Bryce will likely want to get paid his market worth. Unless he's enlightened like Tom Brady, maybe he won't kill us when the time comes, but he will get paid, and it will be a lot.
  3. I was referencing our staff. But, I will say that anyone that really did their homework, knew that Young was special. The only REAL knock was his size. I said that so many times that I got tired of saying it. If he can protect himself like he always has (and I wouldn't bet against him, but acknowledge that injuries are always a risk), we'll see him do a lot of great things for us.
  4. Bryce is a different cat. I love the fact that such a young guy is mature, thoughtful and cerebral. Of course I always thought he was the guy as soon as we moved up, but admittedly started questioning myself--only a little--when people were crushing on Stroud. In retrospect I really can't see how our staff would've picked anyone but Young. He has an awesome football mind, and, I suspect, more intellect than many.
  5. Dude, I know that you probably copied and pasted from before, and I'm not necessarily trying to be a smartass, but you need to fix Matt "Carrol's" name next time.
  6. I don't know what your problem is @Steves89, shitting a largely benign post, but stop being so damned petty.
  7. Well, this thread is surprising... It's simply way too early to even be trying to draw any conclusions about either player.
  8. Well according to a Gantt article that I read, and I believe the mailbag, I doubt that Thomas is going anywhere this season. Things can change, and we'll see in a few weeks, but presently I think he's the TE2 based upon blocking alone.
  9. I didn't realize to what extent that Reich was already familiar with Ngakwoue. I mean, I always knew that Ngakwoue wasn't an A-lister & somewhat of a disappointment, but I believed that maybe he needed a new start. I didn't know that he had so many. I won't argue against Reich and company on this one. They were probably right.
  10. Nah, my son got me a screen print jersey from Dick's. I know that he spent too much on that one. I will get the embroidered one if Bryce turns out to be who I think that he is.
  11. I always wondered why some posts showed up like that. Thanks.
  12. The only thing that might stop him is injury. Stay away from that, and he's golden. The talent was never the question, at least in my mind. The relatively low financial investment in him is well worth the risk, because it provides a great value for a season, and gives us a bird's-eye view of his potential impact upon the NFL. As his incumbent team, we should have a leg up if everything goes well.
  13. I was like, "Who the fug is AT?" Don't some of y'all know that some of us are too old to be trying to figure these things out? The only initials I know for sure are TMJ, but that's always been a thing. Admittedly, I seem to always forget about Thielen, which may be a matter of expectation or projection.
  14. Can't say for the one today, but all the other ones have been some type of miscommunication. They're working it out, which is pretty normal to be honest.
  15. Doesn't sound like it at all. I'd bet that they're amazed and appreciative that Young is so studied.
  16. I suspect that Sanders may be the more dynamic runner. In any event, with Taylor's injury history, I'm not making that trade

    Hey gang!

There is no conflict for me. You gotta live life and post when/if you want.
  18. Yeah, I used to get well-done as a kid following behind mama (and dad), but the best steak that I ever had was when I grilled it seven minutes on each side. I cut into it and the pink was still there. I was forced to put my wife's back on the grill, and she implored me to do the same but I devoured it (and another), and it was delicious. I think she may have made some comments about me being animalistic, but I just shrugged and continued chewing.
  19. Great, but I'm in the Panthers TV area (for probably at least the next 6-11 years). I can watch the Thursday night games on Prime. There are ways to see the MNF games also if I really want to. Unless I hit a big winning lotto ticket, I won't encourage the NFL and it's contractors to keep being greedy. I came up when all the games were broadcast on ABC, NBC, or CBS. I have raged against the machine ever since. If they put all the games on cable, then I might have a problem (and they might have one too). Until then, fug 'em!
