Well, I'd say that it's early, and hopefully they'll get their poo together, but I'm not all that impressed by the O or D-line. It will take time to gel a little bit. Plus, not everyone is on the O-line yet.

I wouldn't bet against him.

If you're actually using your muscles, they look a lot more defined.

how important is it that we win preseason games?
top dawg replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
You just don't want a losing record, and you certainly don't want to go winless. Only one team has been in the Super Bowl after going winless in the preseason (82 Skins). I'm too lazy to research the past four seasons, but there was an emerging pattern. https://www.wtsp.com/article/sports/nfl/does-winning-in-the-nfl-preseason-matter-sort-of/67-592c3fa4-1546-4524-8965-3abfd80274db Me? I watch preseason for evaluation purposes, as well as to know what I'm actually talking about here. Winning & losing in the preseason matters little without context. -

"Miles Sanders is a college football player who has a unique nickname that is based off of a character from the movie Friday Night Lights. His nickname, Boobie, is derived from the character Boobie Miles portrayed by Derek Luke. "Not only does he share a similar name to the character, but his friends also think he looks like Derek Luke. Sanders has embraced this nickname and has even gone as far as to have his mom call him Boobie."

Chuba, come on down.

They're absolutely NOT going to practice during dangerous weather conditions, nor should they. To your point, I guess they could've moved the practice up/down & monitored the weather, but there could've been logistical issues. Also, I don't know why it "doesn't sound good for us." Practices are cancelled sometimes. It affects both teams, but it's not that big of a deal.

I don't think it's as much hype as it is just the reality. Bryce is what he is, and he obviously just loves football. Actually, I'm more excited to hear that Thielen still has that speed and separation. I had been wondering. Perhaps we haven't heard much about Thielen because his play indicates that he is a given--a sure thing this season. He is an experienced pro. Can't wait to see what he does now.

Von Miller: The Panthers were the better team
top dawg replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I knew that I shouldn't have opened this depressing thread, and I was right. -
Huh? I don't know what you've been reading, or who you've been listening to, but I haven't heard anyone say Bryce has looked bad.
-
Don't y'all get it? The lying season has no bounds. If it doesn't make sense, it's probably bullsh¡t.

Top five O-line...? I like your energy. I hope. Top five O-line and top 10 D-line (at minimum), and we might just surprise this year, eh? Esketit!

It's a little early to be thinking about that, but I will say that Bryce will likely want to get paid his market worth. Unless he's enlightened like Tom Brady, maybe he won't kill us when the time comes, but he will get paid, and it will be a lot.

I was referencing our staff. But, I will say that anyone that really did their homework, knew that Young was special. The only REAL knock was his size. I said that so many times that I got tired of saying it. If he can protect himself like he always has (and I wouldn't bet against him, but acknowledge that injuries are always a risk), we'll see him do a lot of great things for us.

Bryce is a different cat. I love the fact that such a young guy is mature, thoughtful and cerebral. Of course I always thought he was the guy as soon as we moved up, but admittedly started questioning myself--only a little--when people were crushing on Stroud. In retrospect I really can't see how our staff would've picked anyone but Young. He has an awesome football mind, and, I suspect, more intellect than many.

Dude, I know that you probably copied and pasted from before, and I'm not necessarily trying to be a smartass, but you need to fix Matt "Carrol's" name next time.
-
I don't know what your problem is @Steves89, shitting a largely benign post, but stop being so damned petty.
-
Well, this thread is surprising... It's simply way too early to even be trying to draw any conclusions about either player.

Well according to a Gantt article that I read, and I believe the mailbag, I doubt that Thomas is going anywhere this season. Things can change, and we'll see in a few weeks, but presently I think he's the TE2 based upon blocking alone.

I didn't realize to what extent that Reich was already familiar with Ngakwoue. I mean, I always knew that Ngakwoue wasn't an A-lister & somewhat of a disappointment, but I believed that maybe he needed a new start. I didn't know that he had so many. I won't argue against Reich and company on this one. They were probably right.

Nah, my son got me a screen print jersey from Dick's. I know that he spent too much on that one. I will get the embroidered one if Bryce turns out to be who I think that he is.

I always wondered why some posts showed up like that. Thanks.

The only thing that might stop him is injury. Stay away from that, and he's golden. The talent was never the question, at least in my mind. The relatively low financial investment in him is well worth the risk, because it provides a great value for a season, and gives us a bird's-eye view of his potential impact upon the NFL. As his incumbent team, we should have a leg up if everything goes well.
