Attitude issues...what...like wanting the ball like basically every receiver? -

We'd be getting draft compensation, not giving it, because Burns would be a part of the trade. We'd ostensibly be solving three problems: 1. Getting a high quality receiver with WR1 upside. 2. Trading Burns for something, because, as it looks, we're not coming to an agreement as he may just want to much that we're comfortable giving. 3. Recouping a pick (or picks) in the 2024 draft. Sure, our pass rush would likely suffer but the ends justify the means. We would still have plenty of cap, Houston, Johnson, Haynes (eventually), Luvu and YGM. -

You could be absolutely rightq, but ultimately it's all about value. I'm viewing a possible trade unto itself. But of course if you are right, it possibly has longer term ramifications. Tepper really needs to hire the right guy...or promote him. -

Was going to say the same thing. There's no way that a Burns swap for Jeudy would fly. That defeats 50 percent of the purpose of the trade. -
I think it's ill-advised to trade day one or two draft capital for Jerry Jeudy, but I could be talked into trading Burns, getting Jeudy and recouping some draft capital. For me, Hunter Rendrow is a nonstarter unless he comes for a bag of chips, and Marquise Brown doesn't excite me. A Jeudy trade involving Burns makes a lot of sense if we want to do this. We'd just have to give up way too much draft capital for Tee Higgins. We should've included Brandon Aiyuk in the CMC trade. Frisco ain't letting him go now. Jeudy is the most realistic option that provides the most potential for an impact this season. "This is our pick for the most realistic and mutually beneficial trade option for all parties if Carolina wants to truly make a splash, while also perhaps adding draft capital instead of losing it, but that’s not to say we expect it. Jeudy has a very manageable $12.987 million 2024 fifth-year option, and Carolina would have the ability to either extend him off a strong half-season or see things through for another year." https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-carolina-panthers-wide-receiver-trade-candidates-jerry-jeudy-hunter-renfrow I actually think that Bryce would be helped by adding a route runner extraordinaire. Jeudy on one side with Thielen in the slot and Chark or Mingo on the outside and a 2024 first round pick isn't the worst thing, especially considering that we aren't likely reaching an agreement with Burns.

Looking at this, Jeudy just might work wonders for us.

It may, but misery loves company. Take an extended break, but don't leave forever. It just wouldn't seem right to transfer loyalties to another team, as there's no history there. We've had too many people leave supposedly for good, and not just because the team has sucked for the better part of the last decade.

One glorified garbage season in a garbage division where we nearly made the playoffs has led to prolific miscalculations and reverberations for at least the short term.
-
Bryce hasn't thrown particularly bad, he just hasn't thrown deep. That's on Reich.
-
Yes, that is you. I'm more concerned with the total package. There have been plenty of QBs with fine arms, some outstanding champions. There have been others with cannons who barely made it a season. The wise person looks at the total package. Everyone can't be Pat Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers, but Bryce's arm elasticity is excellent.
-
Three games. Frank Reich. Enough said.
-
Get well soon. I'm going to take your advice. @Varkingwouldn't let me go to sleep. G'night, guys!

It's probably why I'm still up even though I have to be up in less than four hours now.
-
He likely was. I'm not gonna lie...I've stopped listening to his pressers. He's a nice guy, but I can't stand him as a coach. Fitterer is beginning to look like a dog chasing his tail too. I just can't take it.

Panthers are positioned very well for 2024 and on

True, but you gotta do what you gotta do. This situation is horrible. That's why I'm all for letting the axe drop before Young is fuged up irreparably. Hell, some think that he's already a bust if you read between the lines. Carr got Carred, RG3 got crushed, and Darnold began seeing ghosts. -
I saw a scouting report that said 40-50. That's Watson territory.
-
Velocity and arm strength aren't the same thing. I'm with Carpanfan, I think that his arm strength is a little above average, and he's probably right about Young's anticipation making his arm talent appear better than it is, but you have to look at the total package (smarts, anticipation, arm elasticity), that's what in theory is the great equalizer.

We need a new GM and coach. Other teams have pushed their chips in on a QB who went bust (or whom they thought went bust) and survived, and we can too with the right people at the helm. Of course it will take a couple of years, but it is what it is. -
No, LG has pointedly said this time that Bryce doesn't have an NFL arm. I know that he has intimated it plenty (if not said it before). He knows what he's saying.
-
Oh, now he doesn't even have "average" NFL arm talent. Let's keep pretending that Reich isn't limiting Bryce. It fits your convenient narrative, so roll on.
-
Howell had a decent day relative to his inexperience. He got away with throwing some balls up for grabs. He's a tough kid. It would be nice if he had more protection.
-
I mean, that's what we were talking about, specifically revisionist history. But the Huddle is gonna Huddle.

Fields threw it to D.J. Moore several times during the first half and put Washington in a hole. Washington began to push for a comeback in the second behind a gritty Howell. Fields went to Moore again and iced the game in the 4th quarter. Game over!
-
Oh yeah, that's average velocity. Bullsh¡t!

Hell, his first pass had plenty of zip.
