  1. Unlike you Young bashers, I'm not afraid to admit anything. Young has looked skiddish out there, but it's not because he can't throw deep, it's because he's a rookie whose head is still spinning and who needs to learn and adjust to the speed of the game. The play calling hasn't done him (or any of our guys) any favors really. The protection hasn't been the greatest, which is also causing him to run around like a chicken with its head chopped off, and that's also made Bryce gun shy and prone to some dumb mistakes. He's made some mistakes from the beginning, like throwing two INTs in basically the same fashion to the same guy, and trying to get away instead of chucking the ball out of bounds, and I'm sure that hasn't helped his confidence either. There's more, but with all that, he seems to be getting more comfortable, protecting the ball better and slowly learning what he can and can't get away with at this level. With more experience, line play and schemes to get other receivers more involved, hopefully we'll see more improvement.
  2. I showed the Huddle what I said about Rock Hill and Tepper in the other thread. You're a liar. Until you admit you lied, that's what I'll think of you as.
  3. And you're a liar, again. Just be a man, admit you lied and strive to do better.
  4. Hell, you could use that same logic for any QB that has ever come out of college. Perhaps you should change your argument to "Bryce Young can't throw deep against NFLers."
  5. Salty ain't the word when someone basically tries to lie on you, but anyway you said what you said without qualification.
  6. You obviously don't understand the concept of suspect coaching, awful play calling and a porous line having a limiting effect. No context whatsoever.
  7. What does Jim Rome say? Don't confuse not having done something with not having the ability to do it.
  8. Why? You already said this very night that he can't throw deep.
  9. I already told them this with basically the same evidence. You're wasting your time. The naysayers think there's something magical about an NFL field vs. a college one.
  10. I think it would take more than that. A first and a third would be just another failure in Fitterer's cap. He has got to get more value than that. I would think about a one & two grudgingly.
  11. Perhaps he's just a slow starter. Perhaps it's simply learning to thrive in a new system. Perhaps he needed to develop some working chemistry with new faces next to him. I think that he started turning the corner against the Seahawks where he blocked pretty well but had all those penalties. He's still a work in progress, but I think he'll be fine.
  12. And, like I said, the honeymoon has been over a long time ago. Unlike some posters, I generally don't come out and make definitive statements about someone right off the bat. I give them time to develop a record. Some people want immediate results, and that's not how this thing works. Ironically, if Tepper wasn't so impatient, the Panthers just might have better results than what's gone on since 2018. Now stop embellishing my posts, basically attributing poo to me that was never true, and we'll get along a lot better.
  13. Actually, it is. Not that I think that he's ever looked like Pickles, but his needle is pointing upward. Teddy to Purdy to Brees...
  14. I think that you're right. Psst: it's a relatively deep QB class too. Just saying.
  15. Maybe you're right, but a rookie receiver may end up being better than Tee Higgins, and we already know that they're going to be more economical.
  16. I think that we can win enough to not give the Bears the first pick. Some of you seem so obsessed with it, but personally I don't give a poo
  17. I don't want a positive vibes only thread as much as I want threads that are objective without all the gratuitous, unsubstantiated negative generalizations.
  18. Bryce never had a cannon. We all knew that before he was drafted. That wasn't his strength (no pun intended).
  19. No one ever said that Bryce was perfect. All we've said is that he's a rookie playing in an imperfect situation and really haven't seen an offense, route running, or protection that would play to his strengths (as little or as weak as some think that they may be).
  20. All I know is that he threw deep passes at Alabama. Now maybe it was some Jedi Mind Trick or something, but I do believe that his arm is good enough to be a pro.
  21. And this is what @Frank is referring to. He's such a liar. I wasn't defending Tepper, I just said that all the criticism served no purpose. Like I said, proof positive that the guy just says poo to get cool points. "Perhaps depending on one's perspective. My thing is that piling on really just serves no purpose. It just seems a little juvenile, but you have all types." https://www.carolinahuddle.com/topic/180542-doj-balks-at-tepper’s-rock-hill-bankruptcy-plan-feds-ask-judge-to-block-confirmation/?do=findComment&comment=5986468 I'm tired of mofo's saying that I said this and that, trying to paint some stupid, unsubstantiated point. Just like whoever it was trying to insinuate that I was bashing all these QBs. It's not my style.
  22. If Bryce had a "below average" arm, then all the scouting reports would have said so. If he couldn't throw deep then he wouldn't have been able to do it at Alabama.
  23. Don't let facts get in the way of trolls' narratives (which are basically tired lies).
  24. And, also @frankw I'm not like you and said that I never said anything. You just embellish and lie about what I say in order to get your cool points. I told you what I said, and I stand by it.
