I didn't mind taking a flyer on him, but the trade compensation alone was bad. Then it turned to horrible when we bit down on that hook.

I'd need to see more under normal circumstances. I think Evero is worth his weight in gold, but at the same time I think he's going to get canned when the new HC puts his own guy in place...and I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Piniero over Hubbard? Nah, man.

Where does ESPN get their attendance information?
top dawg replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think that the point is that they should change their graphic to say "tickets sold" as opposed to actual attendance. It's misleading. But at the end of the day, who really cares? It was as empty a stadium as you'll ever see for an NFL game. -
Where did you hear that Steve Smith was either directly or indirectly responsible for the Mingo pick? I know that he liked the pick, and that he gave Mingo his stamp of approval on his podcast, but I've not heard that anyone actually solicited his advice before directly making the pick. Moreover, the fact is that the story of Mingo has only just begun. Why you guys would give up on Mingo so soon is a product of simply wanting to be overly negative because of the geneal mismanagement of the offense.

And you know this how? Y'all need to calm down. Cam is a successful business man. I'm not saying that he would be successful, but he isn't, and wouldn't be, "clueless" by any stretch of the imagination.

Belichick is going to go down as the best there ever was. Below average? Dude, he doesn't have a QB, or any particularly standout players on offense. Brady went into a ready-made situation. If Belichick goes into a ready-made situation, he'll likely do the same thing. That being said, we are the antithesis of a ready-made situation. I'm not worried about him coming to Carolina. At the end of the day, Bill and Tom had years of success together. You really can't separate the two.

I used to have those same issues. Brave Browser honestly eliminates all that. For your convenience, just add the Carolina Huddle to your home screen. See? Some insight into top dawg.

Somebody would just come up with a free site. It's a hard sale to tell me that I gotta pay to be aessage board member. The posts are largely what generates the participation and the content.

That's why I haven't given up on Mingo. He deserves some blame, but, just like Bryce, he is a rookie. They don't seem to be on the same page a lot of times. That is likely a sum of the clusterfug that is our coaching. Just think: Chark looks like a shitty receiver also, but he didn't in Jacksonville or Detroit. Bryce and the receivers are obviously out of sync. The WCO is based on timing and preciseness of depth. We haven't seen either this season. It's been an awful watch.

The thing that angers me the most about the future...
top dawg replied to NorthTryon's topic in Carolina Panthers
We really don't know if we'd be in a position to get Caleb Williams. I really don't think so. My guess is that we'd have a pick somewhere between 10 and 20. There's no reason to think that Dalton couldn't have played at least equal to every QB in the NFCS. -

No one of note, but Benjamins have a way of changing minds. -
Tepper got robbed $37 million by Bryce’s parents
top dawg replied to Selltheteamtepper's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce was deemed a good to great prospect by many that didn't have any direct relationship to the Panthers. He played a part that is played largely every year. This is how the game is played. Tepper didn't get "duped" or "robbed," this is just par for the course. The Panthers chose the wrong one, like NFL teams do largely every year. Now we'll see if the lessons have been learned, not about choosing the wrong guy per se, but about wheeling and dealing draft capital and elite personnel willy-nilly for largely unproven guys (I don't care who they are), and the disadvantages of undersized QBs. -

I mean, I agree, but it's widely considered a good thing if you can hit on a couple of players during a draft. Three is really good, and four or more is phenomenal. Hurney had some decent drafts, just not exceptional ones, but most don't. Drafting is only a part of the battle though, probably the most important part, but only a part. I wasn't too enthused with his acquisitions, nor was I all that enamored with cap management duruing his tenure (whoever was handling it). He did steal Olsen though. -

Fitterer has really fuged up. I can't even defend him anymore. He had his shot, and he just fuged it up. -

What's so bad about Suleiman. To my knowledge, he has us in a pretty good position. -

Ben Dover Field. -
I've already stated Egbuka. We have to get playmakers. I'll consider a QB if the right one falls. But as far as that's concerned, this is a fairly deep class of prospects, so it may be better to take your chances later and grab a WR and a TE in the meantime. We have too many spots to upgrade and not enough picks.

Who has been the Panthers MVP this season.

I don't know if you're familiar with Hembo at ESPN (the stats guy), but he says that Fields has not been "good" the last few weeks, but "great." He and Greeny have said that, particularly within the context of all the dysfunction that he's dealing with, Fields has displayed enough that someone might consider trading for him. According to them, he has shown marked growth.

It's about as personal as a one can get without fully crossing the line. Tepper deserves this for his lack of decorum and professionalism also. Tepper took it there first. Maybe if he hadn't taken things so personally, Fowler wouldn't have had the motivation to create a fully apropos term that will surely stick.

I'm not even ever going to try and fool myself. I may not watch the Panthers play from time to time, but I'll never jump ship. I may have missed three to five games in the last 20 years (only because of some family obligation). This is just a low point which is highly disinteresting because we cannot even meet the standard of mediocrity, but I will always be a Panthers fan because it would just be damned odd to root for another team. For better or worse, in sickness and in health, 'til death do us part...I'm going to keep pounding until we reach better days ahead, as long as I'm able.
