  1. Not every QB can roll out and hit that ball as accurately as that. It may not have been a "wow" play, but it was a damned good one---on the money!
  2. You call it the Tepper era, I call it the Fitterer era. I blame Tepper for listening to him, but I think Fitterer was instrumental in making bad deals.
  3. I mean, did we not see the TD pass? And, no, that was far from the only one this season.
  4. Can't help but think how we traded him and really got little in return the way Fitterer drafted.
  5. I mean, anyone should know that you can't really make a decision off of one game.
  6. Talking about Lamar, it wasn't too long ago that some here were talking some poo about Jordan Love. It should be a lesson about having patience and allowing a QB to develop before making all kinds of definitive statements, but some just continue to do it. It doesn't make Lamar or Love look like the clown, I'll tell you that. And you talked poo about Purdy too, I might add...
  7. You're so off base. Kelce has a couple of more productive seasons in the tank. This is the playoffs. Mahomes and Reid will play to their strengths. Chiefs win!
  8. What I love to see: a team that knows how to close. Nothing fancy, nothing pretty, nothing cute.
  9. Hurney was not being handcuffed by anyone, and yet Beane who was under him has arguably done markedly better at managing than Hurney did.
  10. I'm not concerned with words, only actions. Being a good soldier and espousing the company line are different from being the person to make the decisions.
  11. Bottom line: no one knows what responsibility he had, or even if he had any whatsoever. Guilt by association is not always an accurate representation as to whether a person has been in the wrong.
  12. Before the past season and off-season, most people would've been happy with Morgan as GM. Now, it seems, everyone is so cynical. Just an observation.
  13. I find that facetious. All Bryce needs to do is get in the weight room and put on some muscle. He has world class facilities, trainers and nutritionists at his disposal. He's not going to be a big guy, but he can be a strong guy, perhaps stronger than Brees at his best, Baker, Tua, Russ, or Tyler (to name a few).
  14. I scoff at the notion that it's all his fault. Sure, he held onto the ball too long like some rookies tend to do, but let's not act like most of the sacks weren't due to the interior of the line getting run over, or that some assignments weren't flat out missed. I'll attribute at most a third of those to Bryce, the rest were due to horrendous O-libe play. 40+ sacks is still way too much.
  15. I don't even remember when I first read Sports Illustrated. Not that I didn't read it, but the only issue that I went out of my way to see was the swimsuit issue. I used to look at Jet Magazine also. The first page I would go to was the Jet beauty of the week. Testosterone! Honestly though, when I was a little kid, Reader's Digest was a favorite, as well as National Geographic. But, When I began to make an allowance (probably about nine), the only magazines that I used to buy were Mad Magazine and Cracked! Those were the good ol' days.
  16. No. What you have to do is scrunch the paper up and rub it together to soften it up and wipe away. It's got to be better than using a corncob...maybe.
  17. I hear you, but I only partly agree. Many things that I read before the season began (2023 & 2022) said that Nico Collins had the talent and was due for a breakout. Honestly, he was rated similarly to Mingo before they came out, but he had a couple of years of flashes as a pro. I also recall people lauding Tank Dell when I was doing research. Now, of course we had an aging Thielen, a potential underrated star in Chark with a injury history, but it's not like Robert Woods hadn't played at an unexpectedly high level at a point in his career, plus the Texans had John Metchie who isn't without talent himself, though coming off a serious disease. Dalton Schultz, at least in my mind, was a decidedly better immediate and long term prospect than Hurst. Their RBs were supposed to be much better than ours also. I guess what I'm saying is that the skill positions were more like a push before the season began, with some unknowns. It turns out that the Texans were better. Stroud had something to do with it, but it wasn't all him. Collins is simply a talented receiver who was going to break out in this third year if he had a QB that could play. Dell was an unknown, but he lived up to what some of his fans thought he could be (before he broke his leg). I think that Stroud would've made Mingo look better, and possibly given Chark more of an opportunity to shine, but there was no Nico Collins breakout candidate on our roster, and our TEs still leave something to be desired, as did the coaching.
  18. The real old folk would've read it and used the pages as toilet paper...
  19. Pre-rankings by PFF or anyone else don't mean a thing, and never have.
