  1. Thanks for providing clarity. When I saw the OP's stats, the first thing that I thought is, "These have no context." I figured that snap count correlated with productivity. You provided the evidence.
  2. What's idiotic is to put all your eggs in one basket. Strengths? It damn sure wasn't his arm...Anyway, his main strengths were supposed to be the intangibles like processing and pocket awareness. Is he likely to improve these things? Maybe, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. And btw, I don't even necessarily mean pick 33, but I will admit if Penix is there, I'd be picking Penix, point blank.
  3. First of all, no one has said take a QB at 33, but if one falls based upon evaluations, you should consider him. You're right the Panthers were terrible from top to bottom, and what some fail to acknowledge is that Bryce was as big of a problem as anyone, and seriously you can't have that from your first round QB. But, acknowledging that everything was pretty bad, it's fine to continue trying to see what we can get out of Bryce. That doesn't mean that you can't draft talent along the way in whatever round to push Bryce to be whatever he can be. Sorry, I don't believe that we should hold a cross up and treat another QB like Count Dracula in the upcoming draft. Putting all your eggs in one basket isn't the smart way to plan. If the 49ers had done that, they wouldn't have made it to where they are today.
  4. I didn't say give up on Bryce. I essentially said that you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket. Some of you seem like you're terrified for Bryce to have even the smallest amount of competition. As said several times before, 2025 is a little sketchy in regards to QBs. In fact, the 2024 class looks to be obviously deeper. You shouldn't go into the draft saying that I'm going to draft certain positions. You should be drafting the best player available that will likely upgrade your squad. If that's a QB, it is what it is. You shouldn't draft out of desperation, or you're gonna end up with D.J. Johnson. You can't afford to pass up on the BPA and expect good things. You just can't assume that just because a QB isn't drafted on day one that they can't usurp players that were. There are really too many historical examples to the contrary. Young's going to get his shot regardless, but he's still going to have to earn his stay.
  5. Advice for all you Purdy haters: Stay away from football tomorrow, because ESPN and NFLN are going to be spreading Purdy love throughout the airwaves. TBH, you might wanna go on a sabbatical until the Super Bowl.
  6. Maybe Thielen... You could say that about most teams, so...
  7. This is true, but he still didn't want to leave Charlotte. All anyone has to do is their research. Sure, he wanted to go to San Fran after learning that we were shopping him, but he was taken aback that we would even trade him at all. Those are the facts! As far as accepting it, I don't care one way or another. Just like Pejorative Miscreant said, we fuged up on our end irrespective of CMC. I'm glad for him and wish him all the luck...except when he plays us.
  8. CMC did want to be here. He was shocked that we wanted to trade him.
  9. You're right...they have to figure it out. I don't care where Burns goes as long as he goes...if he expects to be overpaid.
  10. They should've traded for Burns before the deadline.
  11. Preach! At this point the Purdy hate is just absurd. It's absurd!
  12. I guess that Purdy just makes smart people lose their minds. Just give him his due.
  13. They damned sure wouldn't be winning without him.
  14. Wilks cussed them mofos out during halftime.
  15. Not sure about being "one of the least mobile QBs in the league..."
  16. It's not over yet. There's a whole quarter of football.
