  1. Your deflection is ludicrous! You're a pretty bad comic or just delusional if you actually believe that I am offended by a disagreement of opinion about a football player or football team. I reject your boom-or-bust narrative in reference to Lance, period! Sorry (not sorry) you don't like that! I hope your night gets better.
  2. Like I said: I reject your boom-or-bust narrative in regards to Lance! I reject your intimations that coaches purposefully limited his throws! Moreover, if you "don't want Lance", he's obviously not your first choice or any choice, do don't try and hedge now. Live by what you said!
  3. Your modus operandi is tiresome and tired! You have already said that you didn't want Lance. Yes, you have! You've also said that his coaches "limited" his throws and "avoided" throwing the ball, intimating that Lance was the issue! You've made a dishonest and/or disingenuous leap based solely upon Lance's lack of throws (as you see it)! Every time I counter your bullshit, you accused me of being sensitive or defensive (which is ludicrous, I might add) when it's you who are the one being sensitive. Chill out a little bit! Don't be so sensitive when someone counters your argument!
  4. Just like at any other level of football, you do what it takes to win, and running down someone's throat is preferable every single time! Stop with the bullshit narrative about people getting defensive. It's not true. Lance is just a prospect like all the other ones. He will get his knocks just like everyone else not named Trevor. Analysis and criticism are all a part of the process, but you seem to take offense every time someone points out counterarguments to prospects that you don't want. Your go-to argument is that some message boarders are being "defensive", but you're the one who is low-key getting the attitude. I'll say what I said the last time you accused me of being defensive: Some of you are going to rue the day that you talked poo about Trey Lance. And, I stand behind what I said. If he busts, I'll be the first to admit it. But, when he turns out to be special, I won't even have to say "I told you so", because you'll know. For the record, I'll be content to get a potential starter. Sure, I think Lance has the highest upside, and I doubt that he's going to bust, but if we pick Wilson, Fields, or even Jones, I will trust that Rhule and company know what they're looking for and be hopeful that it all works out. Even if we don't pick a QB, I know that we will acquire one relatively soon (before Teddy's contract is up).
  5. The Bengals seem like the most likely option to me. They will trade down a couple of spots and still get their guy. It just makes sense.
  6. Thousands of throws and reads behind? More like hundreds, but even if that's the case, it's because they've played more. You've been consistently trying to act like Lance can't throw the ball! Good luck with that! Trey Lance may have the most experience running a pro-style offense. So, there's that!
  7. I don't agree with your boom-or-bust theory! Lance arguably has the highest upside of this class. He has strength, arm talent, good decision making, and mobility. The only things that he really needs are teaching, time and experience!
  8. Sounds reasonable to me. It's certainly not on the level of what the Rams offered.
  9. I was listening to ESPN this morning, and I heard about so many things that Stafford had to deal with that other QBs with similar QBRs did not! I can't remember them all, but he either played with 1 or 0 top 10 defenses in his career. He also only had an RB eclipse 100 yards 11 times in 12 years. Also, during that same span, the running game averaged 89 yards! And this ain't all! Basically Stafford got no help for most of his career there despite putting up high level numbers.
  10. I told y'all a couple of times that he wasn't coming to a rebuilding team. Stafford coming to Carolina was never realistic. Fitterer is a man of his word though; we will stick our nose in every deal.
  11. NFL rules only allow you to go three years in advance. As such, we can only offer picks from 2021, 2022 & 2023. https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/theres-no-way-for-the-texans-to-win-a-trade-that-involves-deshaun-watson "NFL teams can’t go too far into the future for picks to trade. According to league rules, teams can’t trade picks more than three years in advance, so only teams with multiple first-round picks in one of thsoe years — like the Dolphins and Jaguars in 2021 — can meet those demands."
  12. We don't have 5 first rounders! As much as we could offer would be three. Rodgers ain't going anywhere anyway!
  13. That's how I am. I see the Stafford trade as indicative of two things: 1. Fitt is making good on what he said about being in on every deal (and he said it with a straight face and with a business-as-usual type of attitude). 2. The Rams were "jobbed" by the Lions in their desperation to win a championship in the near future. We don't know where the Panthers were on the Lions-Stafford spectrum. Moreover, Rhule would not even compare Jones to the four top QBs in the draft when given the opportunity to do so. He said "I havn't studied those guys enough yet..." So, if you believe him--and he seemed to be obviously hedging a bit--there's still a lot of work to be done!
  14. If Watson really wants to play hardball, he can do it and still get paid.
  15. The money, and perhaps less so the length, made it a dumb deal! It wasn't as dumb as Jake's contract, but it was eyebrow-raising.
  16. I didn't mind signing Teddy. What I did mind is the amount that we gave him! I was surprised that we gave him that much and a three-year contract. That's not a prove-it deal in my estimation. Two-year, 30 mil deal-- maybe 12 mil guaranteed the first year with 10 guaranteed the second with an option to extend, was what I was thinking. And, if he didn't take it, we'd have rolled the dice with someone else. They must have really wanted him (probably due to Brady). They got him! Now they have to deal with him.
  17. The title is clickbait! It's not our trade proposal, it's a hypothetical trade proposal by ESPN & Bill Barnwell.
  18. There's a lot of noise in this thread. I'm just waiting to see what it actually will take! It's only hypothetical until it's not. If it happens, which is possible, hypotheticals will become more interesting.
  19. The kids need to know the truth, not some watered down participation trophy version. I love what I heard Phil Snow on the "mic'd up" video tell a player who he didn't think was giving it his all and missed the opportunity to intercept the ball: "It's a man's game! Play it like one!"
