  1. I was thinking about us possibly trading for him last night. He's only 25.
  2. Last season, we had a chicken at QB, and less weapons on offense. Darnold is more gifted and more willing to learn and improve. He also has more legit targets all around. Moreover, Chuba settled down after a few carries, and sometimes that's what it takes to bring out an RB's best: touches! CMC's replacement will be handled by a decidedly capable committee. I don't know if we can say the same for Horn, and that makes me uneasy going against Dakota, Lamb and Cooper. We'll find out what's what in short order.
  3. That's about the size of it. ---- One thing I like about Fitterer is that he doesn't sit on his hands. He works the phones, he's always looking to upgrade the team (within reason) even considering draft capital, and he's an opportunist. He's always cognizant of the big picture. ---- fug Perryman. He went to Vegas and got his Covid shot in order to be all-in. He wasn't all-in here, so fug him. Dude didn't have the right attitude while he was here, and he's an injury risk.
  4. I mean, if "Steel Curtain" and "Orange Crush" are acceptable, then "Snow Storm" is good.
  5. I can get with that, but for the way they've generally been about acquiring O-lineman, and even more the LT.
  6. Honestly, I wish we would acquire Njoku.
  7. Honestly, the Patriots should've kept Cam, and the Bears and the Steelers need to be calling his agent. He may not be what he once was, but he's likely better than what we've seen from their guys.
  8. It's not the first time a marked number of the Huddle was flat out wrong. I remember when you had people saying that Brady was done, and all he did was go to our division rivals and win another ring. Any serious football fan knows Stafford was surrounded by pure suck. Now? Not so much.
  9. Evans was the real deal. Benjamin? Fool's gold!
  10. How in the hell do you get sacked NINE times? Remember when he was talking about how the speed of the game was nothing. I didn't see the game, but I wonder if he was holding onto the ball too long (which of course speaks to his ability to process...)...
  11. That's why you don't let any of the good ones get away.
  12. Jones has little mobility. He absolutely needs a good line. About time McDaniels is calling better plays.
  13. Watching these teams just makes me realize that we may be more legit than many think we are.
  14. It's a hammy strain... I do think we should diversify the offense a little more which would naturally decrease his touches. I think people are lying if they say they don't have a concern given the situation.
  15. He's learning while on the job, and it shows (particularly in the red zone). I can see his potential to be good--maybe even great, but he's nowhere near that yet, and I don't think he'd be such the big loss as some think. I just don't see it. Why? Because I see more fluid play calling all the time while watching other games. And sometimes it's not about being cute, but being effective, particularly when you're trying to score touchdowns near the goal line. He's getting it though.
  16. I appreciate backs that can do the same things--i.e., run and catch--but I don't see Freeman as a finesse back, I see him as more of a downhill one-cut power back. He's a big guy, unlike CMC and Hubbard. BTW, I think Gurley's knees are shot unfortunately.
  17. Burns' stats and essentially "ragdolled all night" (and, yes, I'm paraphrasing for effect) don't jibe, OP. Not that the Texans would do it, but, yes, I'd give up next year's first for Tunsil (if that's all it took), and I don't see why it's a bad idea. It sounds like fair compensation to me. I don't think there's ever a sure-bet coming out in the draft, and 2022 isn't any different.
  18. What you call "holding", I call "good defense!"
  19. You already saw them get Tremble more involved. This offense can be much more. CMC's hammy will just force their hand.
  20. Maybe they'll free Shi Smith. Just sayin'.
  21. Whatever, dude. He's not this guy either, and his productive career proves it. It's only been two games. But the fact is, he has been doing his job clearing the second level lanes for Moore and CMC so they can do their thing. If he's not here, offensive efficiency and effectiveness take a huge hit. Now that CMC is possibly out for awhile, Brady via Darnold will likely get Robby the ball more because he'll have no choice but to do that.
