Zane Gonzalez deserves half a game ball

No. You don't earn the game ball for doing your job. You earn it for going above and beyond--doing something special. If anyone deserves a game ball, it's Shaq. -

If he can be consistent the rest of the season, I'll believe...

If heart was the main ingredient in getting victories, Darnold's game today would be a good recipe for success...

Person puts the nail in the Watson to Carolina coffin

Interesting that you're the one that used the term "washed up." Did I just not say he was a top three back when healthy. I would say that the modus operandi of putting words in peoples' mouths and/or using something akin to straw man arguments leaves a lot to be desired, and the "Huddle collective" engages in such activity. Moreover it doesn't really matter if it's a hamstring or another "minor" soft tissue injury, the point is whether he's available. He hasn't been since we paid him all that money. Of course, part of that may be our overuse of him, which I alluded to, but the fact is that regardless of what the reason is, we haven't gotten a good ROI. It may be time to consider trading him to someone who is better able to do that, and use whatever draft capital that we earn to fill more immediate holes. -

Honestly, we probably need to consider trading McCaffrey to someone. IMO, we need picks more than we need a top 3 RB...when healthy. And that's the thing, will he be able to stay healthy, particularly with us relying on him so much (which is ultimately another possible impediment)? I wouldn't bet on it at this point. -
I dropped Anderson a couple weeks ago.

I never thought about that, but you're entirely right (not that it would've changed anything). I guess I could've resigned myself to the belief a little sooner that Rhule isn't trustworthy when evaluating QB talent. I don't trust him any more than I'd trust Deshaun Watson in a massage parlor.

Yeah, it's like "Why?" We'd be pretty dumb to do it in my opinion. But, then again, our prospective might be different than a man whose boss is a presumably annoyed David Tepper.

Stacked LOLs! That's good.

Is this season boring to you?
top dawg replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's boring in the sense that it's predictable. We're going to appear to be good against teams that are flawed, snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory against mid-level teams, and get beat by good teams. A bad O-line, supect OC and suspect QB play will be at the center of it all. -
He has improved upon every aspect of his game. He's had a Renaissance. When he's used, he's good. The problem is that Cleveland never appreciated giving him time to develop. They gave his money to Austin Hooper, now he just needs to move on (if he's smart). I think he could be a top 5 TE.

I get why some didn't want Watson, but it's not a happy time.
top dawg replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Good to know, I guess. It's something akin to a moral victory, and they don't mean poo. In regards to who's calling the shots, It doesn't matter in regards to our situation. We're still fuged regardless. We do not have a franchise QB, regardless if Rhule still has faith (publicly, at least) in Darnold or not. Darnold is what he is: one who sees ghosts, but can't see the proper read. -

Jones would've been dead by now. -

You do know what a no-trade clause is. The tweet said he waived his clause for Miami only. Who's calling the shots means nothing, and doesn't change our situation. -

You're preaching to the choir. It's one thing to expect 8-9. It's another thing entirely to be happy with what looks like a worse record than last year. Only the naive got enamored after a 3-0 record, and honestly I didn't see many being overly enthusiastic. Maybe you do, but I don't think that it's too much to expect to beat a Giants team that is without it's star running back, receivers and has a suspect O-line and defense. Talking about low expectations...
