Tepper: Stop the Stadium from Being Overran on a Constant Basis
top dawg replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was listening over the TV, and it sounded like you had more Pats' fans than Panthers' fans. It was odd to say the least, but now I have a feel for what some of you must be enduring. -
Julian Edelman twists the knife inside a dead dog.
top dawg replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, to be honest, I thought about him seeing ghosts while watching the game. Edelman just put a meme to it. -
Good grief! We're his stats that awful? Wow!
-
Exactly what I was going to say.
-
I mean, I feel your pain, but I felt this way two weeks ago. This is just par for the course.
-
The first season, Tepper was not owner until July. You can hardly blame him for the first season. IMO, people just need to be more accurate. It's just as effective being a little more accurate. "Three years" is a little more accurate and makes the point just as well.
-
Not really four years in.
-
We're just all the way fuged!
-
Bullshit! It doesn't square with everything I've heard from multiple NFL analysts.
-
Gettleman couldn't wait to get him out of the building notwithstanding his newly signed contract. Of course the Browns couldn't wait to get him out of the building once his father pulled what he pulled. But the thing is, Mayfield was obviously overlooking OBJ. That is on Mayfield.
-
I have heard many NFL types say that OBJ is a hard worker. Michael Strahan just said it this morning. Sure, he's a diva like many NFL WRs, but I think it's pretty obvious that Mayfield hasn't played at an elite level and had neglected OBJ to actually both of their detriments. On an off note, most NFL types say that Mayfield is not an elite QB as compared to the top QBs in the game today. Smith just put his brand of exclamation point on it. Regardless if Mayfield is being paid to be "great"or not, even on the rookie deal, he's still being paid millions, and he's being paid to do better than he has done thus far.
-
It's a very winnable game, but it's also a very losable game.
-
Yeah, that's the most disturbing part. You have some Panthers fans here who cheered 89 on plenty a day, and as soon as he left they immediately started talking poo about him, and continue to. I'm not saying Smith is an alter boy, but people need to keep this sh¡t in perspective. Mayfield is being paid millions of dollars to be great, and wants millions more, but his play hasn't warranted elite level money. I wouldn't say he s been "bad", but he just hasn't been good on a consistent enough basis. But if Smitty thinks he's been "bad", so the fu<k what! Everyone has their opinion. Calling Mayfield out for his play is certainly not worth all the little snide, petty, and decidedly personal remarks against who is perhaps the best player in Panthers franchise history. Smitty didn't kill anyone here, he gave an opinion. When a QB makes better commercials than his play on the football field, there is an issue.

Take him wear?

Backup. Need a starter!
-
Thanks. I thought it was the same dude. LOL. That first dude was awful.
-
Charlton was off for sure, but I remember this Lachlan fella being pretty pedestrian if not outright awful at least in one of the losses.

Erving's "effort" on the play that got Sam hurt
top dawg replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hear what you're saying, but I was actually surprised when Darnold didn't slide. But, yeah, the blocking left a lot to be desired. -
Talk to me about the Patriots, what do you know?
top dawg replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's what I was talking about. The offense is dragging on the defense, and national types and dummies won't even give it a thought. Hopefully our FO is a little more thoughtful. That being said, maybe our guy will have a clean game... -
Not just that, but the defense will leak when it faces mediocre offenses too, simply because it will be out on the field too damned long. The fatigue (and the numbers) will catch up with us--any defense. We can't continue to allow our offense to suck (especially over the long term, since that looks like all that we can do at the moment), or it's going to drag the defense down. People may not realize it, but we've already seen this dynamic in action too many times this season.
-
Better than most backups for sure. He's light years better than PJ Walker.

When is Christian’s and Sam’s status known for this Sunday ?
top dawg replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Could be Friday or even Saturday. If they get the Q designation, could be a game time decision. I would think we'd know something definite about CMC before Darnold -
In January and February.
-
Well damn, Cooper Rush is what a backup QB is supposed to look like. I'm kinda jealous TBH.
-
It's not like we won a playoff game. It's a win over the Falcons. Appreciate it for what it is and move on to the next opponent. It certainly can't compare to a loss to the Giants.
