  1. It's always been there. It's just that the QB play had effed it up.
  2. If PJ can't make a serious pass, he shouldn't be in. Just the way I see it. But, point taken.
  3. What a dumb conservative play call. Just my opinion.
  4. That boy must've gotten some tips from John Kasay
  5. They can try. I don't think they'll be successful.
  6. Ha! If he plays well, there's absolutely no reason not to bring him back. None whatsoever! Cam is only 32. Provided that he is healthy and can make the throws, he's a great bridge QB to the next guy. The problem is is that we don't know when or if we can get a franchise QB. Save for trading much-needed draft capital away and picking up a Wilson or a Rodgers (who would have to be on board), it would be advantageous for the next guy to sit and learn properly for at least a year or two. And, honestly, Ridder, Rattler (who may want to give it another go somewhere else), Howell or some 2021 upstart like Corral, don't really look like world-beaters. They're looking flawed and will need more than a season to develop into starting pros.
  7. So now I know why they let Darnold play after that injury... OK, perhaps I'm being a bit too cynical.
  8. Good point. Tripping speaks more to player safety than one might think.
  9. It's a good deal. The Cam I know will at least live up to his contract. On an off note, I guess we had to waste money on Bridgewater and Darnold to get back to Cam. I know it wasn't the only way, but dealing with our FO...it was the only way.
  10. I mean, I know what you mean, but you have to have at least a B.A. in the language of Cam to understand what the hell he's saying with 100 percent clarity. But, he sounds positive. Like I said on Twitter in so many words, let's hope that his game has evolved like his apparent growth and maturation as a man.
  11. Regardless of the actual payroll, it's near insane. My wife, a casual Panthers fan, and my son, a used-to-be more serious Panthers fan like his old man, have both checked out. But even though they don't follow things as nearly as close as me, my wife said (in her own, all-business matter-of-fact manner) that them resigning Cam after letting him go in the first place is indicative of a not-so-well-run team. My son, just straight up clowns me. He said that the delusional Panthers fans let them push Teddy Bridgewater on us and then Sam Darnold--downgrades--only to return to Newton who is also lacking, and now we're all happy about it. He says that if they were going to resign Newton then they shouldn't have let him go in the first place. He says the Front Office is terrible and until that's all changed that we'll be here complaining.
