  1. A stalwart center, whoever it is. I'd still like to see Dorance Armstrong added as well.
  2. I'm not interested in arguing about how bad our team is. A lot of that should be fixed with coaching, scheme, and better O-line play. I will say this: if you look at totals and rankings, we weren't the worst in the league. I expect Chuba to get even better, as well as Tremble and Sullivan, and everyone else.
  3. We really didn't give it to a guard. You need to stop saying that. Other pass rushers are getting more in guaranteed money and contracts as large or larger for four years. We're only talking 63 mil guaranteed for five 100 mil max. I would bet that the contract is structured to give us more flexibility than theirs as well. Burns' contract details haven't come out yet, but we know that it's worth 150 mil as opposed to $100. We signed a top guard and have a sizeable amount of more cap and flexibility.
  4. I can only imagine that you're referring to Bryce. I'm not sweating Bryce anymore. It is what it is. What I think of him or what you think of him isn't going to change the fact that he's going to get an opportunity this year. I'll tell you just like I told Brian: if Bryce sucks this season, we will cut bait. But, we will still have a great OG and hopefully a good O-line for the next few years. Build from the inside out. That's what we need to do. We're rightfully focusing on the O-line in order to see what Bryce really has. Morgan and Canales are taking away the excuses. If Bryce doesn't cut it, I think that we've already seen enough to know that he won't be hear that long. I'm satisfied with this plan of action.
  5. Dude, he's arguably a top five OG in the league. Labels don't matter, just production.
  6. I think that we can see baby steps this season, a semblance of improvement in 2025, and then be competitive by 2026 and legit by 2027. That's my reasonable expectation.
  7. Honestly, the guaranteed part is literally the first thing that I go looking for anytime a contract is signed (if it's not listed).
  8. He's a really good, consistent guard that has steadily improved over his time in the league.
  9. We just were never going to get that. I heard the air deflating once these other pass rushers were put up on the trade block.
  10. I really don't understand why y'all keep saying that we overpaid. Hunt is a top guard in the league. Guards are getting paid (hell, I believe two actually got paid more than he did). If you want a boss line, you have to pay for it. Lord knows that the interior O-line was poo. His presence should make everyone better, and Ickey won't have to be paid for a while. Build from the inside out. Your line has to be a combination of good vets and good young talent.
  11. It's gonna depend upon who's the highest bidder. I still don't think it'll be us. But, we should be able to get some good receivers in this draft. They will be cheap and able to grow with our young QB.
  12. fug it. I'll take it. Tired of talking about Burns. Let the rebuild continue!
  13. Good guards get paid too.
  14. There are lots of safeties available this offseason. More than a few have been let go.
  15. I was told that what he did in college doesn't matter anymore...LOL
  16. Chark looks faster than Smith-Marsette, and, honestly, Chuba does too. The only real thing of note that Smith-Marsette did was take a punt return to the house. Don't get me wrong, I think he's got some juice as a return man, gadget guy, and maybe a 4th or 5th receiver, but he's not worth 3 mil in my opinion.
  17. How dumb do you think that these execs are, especially Morgan? If Bryce doesn't cut the mustard this season, we're going to do exactly what you said yourself: "cut bait." The truth is, we were (and still are, until proven otherwise) a dumpster fire. We haven't been good for arguably seven years. People don't have to conspire, strategize or play psychological games in hopes of keeping us bad. We are.

  19. That Juan experience just might take you for a trip if you allow it.
  20. Good grief! This stuff is still going on? Well, have at it.
  21. Yep. Doesn't make too much sense to say that we need to rebuild, then complain when it begins to happen, but to each his own.
  22. Apparently, he wasn't the only one. Furthermore, I don't really think that he said anything "nice about Bryce," what he essentially said is that it's too early to give up on him due to the circumstances. Believe it or not, that is a rational opinion, regardless if you agree with it or not.
  23. Why would they say anything remotely positive at all if they didn't actually believe it? What he did in college still matters in the sense that his collegiate career is what led rise to his evaluations for an opportunity in the NFL. And, to be quite frank, I could easily say what he did here last season doesn't matter at all. Context does matter; never forget that
