So, basically you were just a hater from the beginning. That's all that means. Robby had a nice start to the 2020 season. Him not being as productive after the first five games spoke more to do with Teddy's chicken poo style of play than any coverage of Robby. I saw the games! I remember the analyst even reflecting upon how Bridgewater wasn't letting the ball loose at the right time to Anderson. The windows were there! It's no wonder that the first 5 weeks included Teddy's best YPA and AYPA save for maybe one to two more weeks out of the season depending upon what stat you're looking at. And, talk all the poo you want, Robby was still A Yards After Contact leader in 2020. And, your saying that he did nothing after 5 games is not quite correct (He had less than 500 yards).

I never hoped that Darnold sucked. Ever! I just realize that at some point, you have to move on. Based upon observation and 40+ years of watching, I've seen enough, and I'm not going to apologize for it.

I agree for everyone except San Jose (though it would seem like the 49ers would have it on lock). The city has enough TV market share and money to make things interesting.

Y'all and Matt Rhule, keep on talking that Darnold sh¡t! I know better. Corral will blow his ass out the water when the time comes. I've been trying to tell y'all that for months.

No one had any problem with Anderson until last season. No one was saying that he sucks, plays selfishly and throws his teammates under the bus or anything of the sort. The fact is is that he hasn't thrown anyone under the bus, not even Sam Darnold.

We'll know come September.

It was a pretty damned good draft considering the circumstances. We got my top two players notwithstanding that we began day two as simply spectators. Watching the QBs slide was ironically a beautiful thing for me as a Corral fan. That's why I stayed up even as the night was almost ending. I knew we wanted Corral, and we got him on the cheap as far as I'm concerned. I'm still of the opinion that folks don't realize what we have, and the beauty is that we didn't have to grossly overpay for it like we would've had for Watson and a proven vet. Building from the draft is the better way, especially when you're essentially broken financially and broken-spirited.

No. Just no. Robby was signed after an excellent year (and number of years to be fair). Yes, he had ONE sucky year, but let's not say anything that might break this now tiresome Huddle narrative.

Let the Browns pay all of it. They're not in a position to dictate. They got dictated to by Houston, and now they've got it twisted and think they can dictate terms based on Baker.

Yeah I saw those twits. They were enough to jam your finger down your throat and vomit...well, at least to turn your mouth down and wrinkle your nose. fug Quinn, Brisco and Wilson. fug the lot of 'em!

Basically, we shouldn't have gotten the players that we got based on our draft position and the capital that we spent. Our players have higher upside and potential based upon where/when they were drafted.

The SEC is a grown man's conference (as Oklahoma found out pretty quickly against essentially one of the league's bottom dwellers). The Big 12 and the other pretenders simply cannot compare. Corral consistently faced NFL-level talent. And, by the way, Grier wishes that his release was as quick as Corral's, and that his feet were as quick as Corral's, and that his ball came out with as much zip.

Yep. That's another overblown take. He's not the biggest, but he's not really small. He's 24 years old and hasn't had pro level conditioning yet. As long as he's smart, which I believe that he is, he'll be alright. Basically 6'2", 212. He'll likely put on five to 10 pounds of muscle.

Thirds can easily be recouped. Sometimes you get several thirds with compensatory picks. Basically, when you're in our position, you have to take swings. Corral has the arm talent and mobility to be an exceptional QB. The real question is whether playing in Kiffin's system has somehow obscured obstacles that will impede Corral from being successful, and, within that same vein from a fan's perspectives, whether Kiffin's system has somehow done a Jedi mind trick on some fairly experienced football guys (especially the OC). I don't think so. Corral's talent justified a higher pick from my perspective. If that talent is realized, then a third is a small price to pay. You have to take the swing. It's a good gamble.

You win some, you lose some. I believe any fan for any team can disect any draft and determine where mistakes were made. And, yes, sometimes the mistakes are colossal like the Steelers passing on Marino or multiple teams passing on Brady. That's a fact, but you go on. Hopefully this draft we got it right.

CJ is still really young, and he came into a bad situation. This coming season will begin to tell the real story. As for Baylor guys, I think that's a bit overblown. Young players must be given time to develop no matter the school. Our guy this year has some upside. That's about all you can ask for with later picks.

He's certainly hired coaches this offseason that have had past success developing players. I think that he's had some success. I also think that he has two main issues though. First, he tries to bring his youngins up too slowly at times as opposed to just letting them take some lumps (like BC). Secondly, he thinks he can do magic with proven trash that should arguably be left on the trash heap--something about teaching an old dog new tricks. I'm hoping that experience has taught him better.

I haven't seen anyone walk it back; if anything, people seem to be as anti-Rhule as ever.

It's just as easy to see that Rhule's mindset has changed after being humbled. I think all of them have been humbled to a degree after being relatively wreckless the last couple of seasons with the way they've mishandled the QB situations (spending good money on bad). Neither Tepper and especially Fitterer were totally innocent.

I see some of you aren't objective at all. 34 years old is 34 years old. Why do you think that the Chargers moved on notwithstanding Roberts' season? He is a stopgap return man. That's not a slight at his age, that's just the truth. Deal with it! We'll be actively looking to shore up the position in a year or two.

The wishful thinking is that some fans are assuming that Fitterer is in charge.
