  1. Sure, he doesn't really have the Browns by the balls, but I don't believe that the Browns have him by the balls either. They lost that grip when they lied to him. He's a malcontent that can sink their season in so many ways if they allow him to see the field. They're not going to do that. It's better for all the parties involved for them to pay him to stay away.
  2. His defense team got very rankled at the woman's accusations of attorney intimidation. It seems like such a high profile law firm wouldn't involve themselves in intimidation tactics (because they know they don't have to), but I guess you never know.
  3. Juan's sorely-lacking thread titles must be a thing now, an accepted part of Huddle culture.
  4. So, it must be a slow news time for Mary Kay Cabot. Pushing conjecture and speculation based on month-old news reports. None of this is anything new, not even the painting of the Panthers FO as being not on the same page. Like I said, I can do without it.
  5. That's the way you see it. I still don't see the point of the article, but possibly to drum up some interest. As a Panthers fan, I can surely do without her speculation as to our FO's thinking on the matter. We did what we did, and Tepper (who appeared in Panthers Confidential exactly like an owner letting his football guys make the decisions), Rhule, Fitterer, McAdoo and Ryan all appeared to be genuinely on one accord. The pre-Corral stuff at this late date is totally unnecessary in my opinion.
  6. Cabot was the one who mentioned the "holding their breath" thing in the first place--like the Panthers are waiting on pins and needles for the Browns to cut Mayfield. I don't really see the point of the article, unless she's just being a pawn in some offseason gamesmanship by the Browns. And, again, we'll see what tune they're singing if Mayfield decides to become a distraction. Basically, the Browns overplayed their hand, and I doubt anyone in the league really cares when/if they cut Mayfield. Of course that's not to say someone won't sign him after they cut him, but I'd be pretty surprised if organizations, especially us, don't just stick to their guns and be opportunistic if it makes sense, even in the case of injury because Mayfield simply isn't worth the money or the draft compensatiom that a delusional Browns franchise would like to swindle some franchise out of.
  7. I mean, y'all are clowning the OP (and admittedly he simply says dumb sh¡t sometimes), but I do think that regards to the Panthers part of this article, specifically, that she is doing a bit of speculating. The word "seems" should not be overlooked. Moreover, even if she's correct, just because there wasn't or isn't a meeting of the minds regarding Baker's worth as a QB doesn't mean there wasn't or isn't an organizational consensus about the amount that should or shouldn't be paid for him. For me, moving up to take Corral, and the amount of patience and discipline displayed before doing so, speaks louder than Cabot's speculation. The Panthers flipped the script on the Browns when they drafted Corral, so all the talk about what happened pre-Corral is interesting and all, but it sounds more akin to spilled milk than having any importance to whether or not we're willing to take on Most of Mayfield's salary post-Corral. I don't believe that anyone on the Panthers is holding their breath for the Browns to cut Mayfield. But, what I will say is that Mayfield really hasn't even made it difficult for the Browns yet, and all this talk about them not releasing him sounds great in May, but will it sound the same in August?
  8. He apparently hasn't gotten a job because...he's apparently a first-rate asshole.
  9. Bullsh¡t! Robbie has had one bad year in an otherwise solid career. Darnold has had all bad years in anything but a solid career.
  10. I would think that has more to do with Darnold's inability or the play calling than Robbie's inability to catch passes. Anderson has had one bad year which also happens to be a pretty bad year in general, and yet some of you want to conveniently forget that fact in order to be decidedly petty. He was pressing in order to make plays. If he has a repeat of 2021 in 2022, then your criticisms will have more validity. For now, all it seems like is that some of you have some type of unrighteous axe to grind.
  11. Dropped passes per reception really doesn't mean anything
  12. Anything can happen, but my money is on Matt Corral being our QB of the future. I don't see us investing a treasure chest on Murray or anyone else this offseason. I just don't think that's going to happen.
  13. Baker is a distraction. He's disgruntled, rightly or wrongly. The players probably don't even want him around. The FO has to consider all of that. I'lt's even been suggested on ESPN that they tell him to stay home. If that happens, it's easy money. It's probably easy money anyway.
  14. The paycheck thing won't come into play until camp begins. He'd be crazy to sit out at that point. He doesn't know when or if he's ever going to get 19 mil per year again.
  15. They probably don't really want Baker anywhere near the facility anyway.
  16. I think that one of them would sign here given the current landscape. The only other team that could be legitimately looking to upgrade is the Seahawks. Atlanta and New Orleans have guys that could possibly be better, or at least the same, so why give anything for either one of them?
  17. Why hello! I feel great. Thanks for asking.
  18. Whatever ranking that Herbert had before playing in the 2020 season was bogus. Before 2021, there was at least a body of work to base his ranking on.
  19. Just having guys that haven't played many--or any--snaps as a pro on this list kinda just takes away from its credibility for me. I mean, I know that within this context they kind of have to be included, but maybe that just means the whole list is a contrived waste of time.
  20. Well, they forced his hand. The NFL won't ever do it because this is America where the rich can put a cost-value analysis on everything, even potential for injury and death regardless if there's a substantially safer way.
  21. What were we, like 6-10 Cam's first season? After his first game, no one needed to tell anyone that we had a franchise QB, and no one will have to tell us after Corral's first game either. Listen to what I'm saying.
