Since the advent of social media, I feel like there has been way more group think on QB prospects. Not talking about Pauline here, but people that think of themselves as "experts" latch on to a take and stick with it and don't change their opinions. Everybody and their mother said the 2021 class was "can't miss" and they've been extremely underwhelming so far. Credit to Pauline here for having a different take. I don't want anything to do with Stroud. I don't think he can lead a franchise. He was horrible when it counted yesterday. The Big Ten was horrendous this year and it is fair to question if he can operate without insanely elite WR's and adjust to what open windows are in the NFL. I like Bryce the best, but the frame really concerns me. Not a fan of this QB class overall though.

With all due respect - this is NOT progress. He is not progressing as a passer. Watch the game & not just the highlights of him running. He has not progressed one bit. He has one passing game over 200 yards, that's extremely pathetic in today's NFL.

Bingo - Fields having the same problems in the NFL. Just noted this on a previous post. They cannot overcome the shock of how "open" is defined in the NFL.

He's not going to carry a NFL franchise. He was gifted the elite of the elite WR's in college football. OSU QBs cannot understand or comprehend what open in the NFL is. Fields still cannot complete passes. A good fantasy football QB doesn't mean they'll be a good NFL QB. Hard no on Stroud. This class isn't that good overall. They are just like the 2021 class that we were told was "can't miss" by all of the so called "experts."

Nope. I know it’s silly to hold someone’s college as a knock against them but I cannot understate how insanely talented Ohio State’s receivers are on a year to year basis. Those WR’s are elite & destroy their competition in that conference. They get beyond wide open & the QB just has to get it there. Kudos to Stroud for making the throw to the open man - but those windows shrink so much in the NFL and I truly believe that it’s a massive shock to those QBs when they get to the league. That’s why I didn’t like Fields coming out, he can’t see or read what’s in front of him. The Northwestern game where he struggled, they put NFL concepts on that tape and he stunk it up.

The same can be said for all of the other QBs from the “vaunted” 2021 QB class. I’m very down on things but the one thing they got right was passing on Fields & Jones and not selling the farm for Wilson or Lance. At this time - I’m not sold on Young (size, frame) or Stroud (Ohio State QBs don’t translate as they cannot read the field) for 2023.

Listen to Mike Lombardi about PFF grades. I put extremely little stock into them as nobody over there knows football. They had Nick Bosa ranked extremely low last week I believe. Listen to Mike Lombardi’s GM shuffle pod from 9.25 for that one. Since the Panthers are “analytically” entrenched now - I bet they use those as the gospel. Rhule will probably start quoting them soon.

I truly believe that Rhule & Tepper thinks this fan base doesn’t know what good football looks like. They constantly insult our intelligence by the things they do & say. Rhule’s schtick is tiresome. If he thought the crowd was unruly at the Tampa game last year and this last Sunday….he’s in for a rude awakening this weekend.

Fields just stinks. Nobody wants to come out and say it though. He’s horrendous. Not drafting him is the only QB talent they evaluated correctly.

Bingo. Truly believe Rhule refuses to play Foreman as he wants to show the world his 2021 draft picks are amazing. We all know a majority of them stink.

Injuries were a concern coming in. You don’t waste premium picks on players like this. It’s okay to admit the Panthers royally screwed up the 2021 draft. We have enough evidence by this point.

That’s what concerns me. I’ve said to friends I think we are the new Browns under him. That’s the trajectory the Panthers are on. So many red flags with Tepper & I just don’t have confidence he’ll ever learn from his mistakes.

Another “great” 2021 draft pick. Panthers got 3 draft picks from Tennessee to move down to take this below average player. Meanwhile, could’ve taken Amon Ra St. Brown at the original spot. They can’t evaluate talent over there. I’ll keep saying it, trading down is great in theory, but if you literally whiff on each pick, then it doesn’t matter!

It doesn’t matter who the coach is as long as Tepper continues double down on the circus he has created. He learned from the beat, former Steelers minority owner and now Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam. Don’t get your hopes up.

Absolutely not. I envision it getting worse under Tepper. We are in the process of being the 1999-2019 Cleveland Browns. You think it’s bad now? Just wait. I really hope he humbles himself and learns from his mistakes because this is the path we are on.

Parsons or “doesn’t have the size to play tackle” Slater should’ve been the pick. Justin Fields can’t play. Watch the damn tape people. He can’t read the field. It’s embarrassing to see how hyped up this guy got by “draft Twitter”. They only see what they want their excel spreadsheets to tell them. Also, how’s the 2021 class looking? “We have a real GM! He trades down!” YOU STILL HAVE TO GET PLAYERS THAT ARE GOOD!!!!!
