Do you watch CJ Stroud and wonder ‘what if’?
stratocatter replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Place is full of it. Ditto with the hirings, it was All Star Staff. Yay. There were so many people cheering this don’t act like you were not. Hell I accepted Reich and will go my grave thinking that if had his choice he would have accounted for physical skills in the draft. Young looks far worse than that kid playingfor Minnesota with a wristband. Been there a week and a half. Every other team’s game you watch you WILL see better quarterback play, with possibly one or two exceptions. Try it. At this point I honestly would fire or demote a person who was telling me that processor is all you need screw size screw arm strength. You can’t can’t give away both! It is freaking crazy that this happened, but look at the times we are in. Crazy is standard. -

OP, no. I don’t wonder. Why? The people backing Bryce say Bryce is just as good. I never thought so at all. They don’t wonder, in spite of what they are seeing. What does that tell you? Wool.Still.Over.Eyes. Is what it tells me. I know what it would be like. It would be more like good rookie quarterbacks be like. Not a bizarre point guard offense with a miniature QB who needs a running start to throw a ‘deep’ ball. And the offense wouldn’t be neutered either. -
It’s 9:13 am and nobodies fired yet?

I guess an upside to an involved owner is he will know where these things started and why they wanted the player and which person/employee was the one pounding the table. Where he graves were dug ahead of the killing. He WILL be able to assign responsibility to the right person. If he wants to. if it's him I bet he won't want to quite as much. -
Canty low-key just battered Bryce on Greeny

Yeah that was a nice throw. Great? With what we have been watching? Okay it was great. Can’t argue that hard, I’ll take it. It was great to see one, for sure. Do you remember seeing the next throw? It kind of stood out. If I am at the right place in the game. -

From that snip it sounds like Reich decided if I am going down it is going to be my way. Which, may not be bad. Do what He wants to do instead of this consensus bull lol. But really, too many cooks. A guy that has a handle on how it works and a good level of proficiency with x/o stuff, with a chip on his shoulder, is probably much better than what we have had. But about that passing game. Where we are compressing the field to Red Zone dimensions, no matter where we are on it. How about addressing that? I am not saying you do, but if you need Dalton to do it, then play Dalton. -
It isn’t over yet. Something could happen, even off the field that would make it better. I actually think next year sets up to be worse. We will have to watch our rightful selection who will be a very choice selection, selected by the team we are subsidizing. So we will get to see that, and if they make a good choice, we will get to see that player ascend through video highlights. Weekly. And we got what we got now, basically. Sound like fun?

I could not agree more. I thought Wilks was not the guy because he would stand up to Tepper. If he felt strongly. People talking about Wilks is a dinosaur I get it ands I know he isn’t the Best coordinator. But he understands some poo.

Comedy analytics say to kick it. Actual analytics that understand range and leg strength, I doubt would tell you that. What would be the odds that a guy who had never come close to that distance, would go 1-1 on the next try? Same reasoning more or less, they used in the draft. -

There is a case to be made that it wouldn’t help anything and maybe GM/Coach together when the year finishes. I don’t know what to think I have never seen such a group of highly qualified people fail in concert so fast and totally. This is not a normal thing we are seeing and it just gets my radar up for some type of foul play. Too many weird questions can be raised about about this death, if I am a homicide detective lol. My first reaction week 1 was they have already tanked the season, they don’t care about winning. They are just using the whole deal as practice. I know how crazy that sounds. -
One guy says a division II defense is better than the Panthers. That is actually below the bar Here even for a rant. I am watching fewer and fewer of these pundits for their insight. Edit: I didn’t compliment the first rant because I didn’t want the person that posted the ESPN clip to feel singled out for ESPN’s content, and then I see you posted the first one too. Ha.

OP I definitely feel like they have totally ruined it. “It” referring to being a fan of the team. 1st, the NFL has been losing me for years. Why do we need games in Germany? Mexico City? I like the National Football League, fir Americans. It isn’t the World Football League. If they want that why not re-do the NFL vs AFL (with AFL being not American)? So I guess you can’t use the “A” ha, I hope the point survives. Thwe WFL. The EFL might work. If you must. I still don’t see the need. Adopt an American team if you are in Europe. I like having separate American sports. Or rather, sports that are unique to the US. Ours. I don’t want to steal Europe’s sports (excluding golf probably, and maybe bullfighting).

There were for sure a lot of outright lies being told. If you look at the product though you will will be able to see through them. I have said this elsewhere but I was always big on not drawing any conclusions based on week one, and since the 3 preseason game schedule came in I expanded it to the 1st two. That is a pretty hard and fast no judging rule. Yearly, I try to be consistent and acknowledge that I need to hold off making evaluations. Even so, what I saw and did not see in the first game was impossible to ignore. Same with the second. Hugest red flags of red flags. Everywhere on offense.

I am down to a half teaspoon of sugar per pot. You don’t want salt in it though.

Exponentially. The cost… it is all like the pebble thrown in the still pool, and where those ripples go, except this is more like an asteroid. Clausen was like a throwaway. Blink and he was gone. He got a bad deal really, but it is still up to the player who has the opportunity to overcome it. It was there for him. Edit: like it is in the current situation. I can see that Young is trying. He’ll need all his skills and maybe then some to make it.

That was horrible. The whole telecast was nearly unwatchable and not because the product on the field was playing well below even TNF’s standards, which we were already grading on a curve. I find myself really disliking Amazon’s production values as exhibited and Al Michaels is bored and then we have to entertain Al Michaels with poo like his anecdotes that have nothing to do with the game. Or his stories while the plays are being run on the screen behind him. Guests. A bunch of superfluous stuff. He is bigger than the broadcast and knows it. He needs to be working the top games to be any good to listen to, where he is into the game. And please man, hot flash products and ads and something else for that demographic that I can’t recall but I saw that one first and raised my eyebrows.… I mean, I am watching the game and here comes the Oxygen channel every five minutes. I want my damn deodorant, beer, and razor commercials back lol. But really… that seemed intentional.

There is a common thread here. It influences stuff like sugar influences coffee. Well, probably more like salt and coffee in our case.
-
I don’t think I saw that one. I know it’s an Adam Sandler movie, and outside of a couple, they are pretty juvenile. I was in and out of that demographic by the time he was getting bankable I guess they call it. I couldn’t tell you what Billy Madison is about much less quote it (so pull my card I guess).
-
You did the right thing, taking a break.
-
Actually saw the movie and still don’t remember it. I got a sense of humour outside of this lower than poo football operation, but the horrible football we have been tethered to (simply due to geography at this point), crushes it every time it tries to take a breath. And btw if that coward poo is another movie, I don’t get that one either but whatever. If it is a typical insult fug off.

They might have more in common than we know. I promise anyone who wasn’t there for it, John Fox did NOT want Clausen and he did nothing to help the kid. It reminded me of fighting parents (JR and Fox) using the kid as a weapon. I lost respect for John Fox that year. A lot of it. I guess it”s different because Frank wanted Bryce. edit: that post up there might be the first I have shat on. Let the guy have his opinions. As if some of yours are all that. Especially that one.

As an expansion in our first year, we were better. Tepper has turned this into a typical expansion team, which we never were. At least we had that. No more.
-
That part looked pretty obvious to be honest. But Evero should have been hired even if he was purple. Or ten different colors.
-
he has been saying fug you to somebody since week one. That offense he was hiding from everyone? It was never there. I’d guess the kid couldn’t run it but none of my guesses make sense either. Strangest thing I have really even witnessed, this phantom offense and JV looking quarterback.
