  1. You want to attract the top coach? The person who is seen as the most desirable hire? That list of draft picks over 2023-25 would be as good as anything. Better than money, when the money is equal.
  2. I am gonna say with the team selling and turmoil already there I think that keeps Rivera safe, someone has to watch over the zoo. Team is sold they are all out the door.
  3. Walker played good the last couple of weeks. Today he looked like the worst day Mayfield had. Horrible. No, you can’t have your guy break that far down on a given day. The defense, just wow though. Nope. Not those linebackers. Clean house.
  4. You made an effective counter to my argument. 2 wins.
  5. I have said multiple times, never waffled, they should have taken the trade. If that is a weak argument I presented, it was the best I could do playing devil!s advocate. I don’t know why you wouldn’t do that trade.
  6. So, I can see where there are reasons to hold your own, mostly because it would devastate the locker room, I have a feeling. You get the rep of instability as a place to sign. That sort of thing. That is the only way I could argue against it. Someone else pointed out the potential of holding high picks. Use one 1st, roll the other one over into more futures. Rinse and repeat. When those picks come into play in 24 and 25 Burns better have torn it up and stayed healthy for two years.
  7. If the Rams really offered that, we really screwed up.
  8. I think Wilkes needs to show me why he should Not be coach going forward. Because I like what I am seeing from him myself.
  9. He was hitting guys in stride. On a number of throws. They didn’t have to wait, reach back, sky for it, that was getting my attention.
  10. Lame jokes. The effort is appreciated though. If not Bezos, who?
  11. It was probably a waivers type thing. I don’t know the fine points but there is an order, and the 1st team in that order gets 1st option on waived players. When they do make a claim I think they go to the end of the line. A waved player must clear waivers with no claims made to become a FA. I’m not real clear on the rest of it. But there is more to it.
  12. There was something somewhere about Ekwonu’s shoulder prior to the draft but I haven’t heard a thing since.
  13. Commanders is a shitty name. Sorry. Redskins was so much better. But okay you can’t have Redskins for your name anymore so pick anything you want. Commanders. Really? You want to be cool? This took literally 30 seconds of thinking about Washington DC: The Secret Agents. The Agents. The Bugs. Okay maybe not the bugs. I like the Secret Agents. But there must be a lot of better possibilities.
  14. I am not a trader by nature but we should have taken that deal.
  15. Shenault is an asset they haven’t used a lot. There were reasons, but he could factor.
  16. Well maybe because he was Rhule and generally unless they have real good reason the next staff isn’t invested in him. Corral didn’t show anything on film that I would consider real valuable for them to witness. So far. I see him as unknown still.
  17. We were down CMC and Hubbard, as far as why they rode him so much. It probably isn’t what they see as ideal but what else were they going to do?
  18. First, I looked at who has played QB for us and their arm talent. Mostly I have thought about PJ vs Cam passing ability and we all know Cam had the heater. He could throw the ball low and far. Cannon. Some of his throws were about as good as it can be done. I saw throws the last two weeks that I would put up there with a lot of Cams better throws. I think, as if I would know what an NFL WR knows, but I think PJ throws a more catchable ball. And I know people will be pissed and don’t really get why, but I think he puts the ball in a better place to be caught. To protect the receiver and to maximize yards after catch. Sue me. I could be having selective memory but I think there is something to explore with Walker. I won’t say it anymore because this is like the third or fourth time, but there are a lot of completions that hit these receivers in stride. To me that is the whole game of aerial offense. That’s the trick. It’s just high level. I don’t know how deep that runs in him but I can’t discount Walker right now after seeing those throws.
  19. I haven’t even looked to see how the other options are doing. Maybe I should but I love watching him run block. He doesn’t disengage until the whistle the times I watched him.
  20. Yeah and they couldn’t see the protection they were giving. A lot of time to throw on some of those plays. That will get some deeper routes called and open up the field.
  21. That seems true but there is different ownership up there. Maybe it doesn’t work as well here as it did there for them. I think a lot of people here saw McD as a really good football guy that could be a HC, and wished things had worked out differently. If only he’d stubbed his toe in Buffalo.
  22. Seems it is always a cyclic evolution. This small trend counters the long tall corners brought in to counter the big WR guys. Someone will counter that and so on…. Somehow you have to get on the right side of those trends. A balancing act.
  23. I was looking at the game on replay and when that Byrd play happened I ran it back a couple of times to make sure I saw what I thought I saw. Lack of effort. I know the perspective of TV can be misleading but inside the 25 yl to the 18, every time I look at it I see lack of effort. Waiting on the other guy to make the play. If in fact that is what it was, who is a fan of that and why is criticizing it a sin?
  24. Yeah I was about ready to mention that. I don’t think Sam really got a fair shot this year due to Mayfield and he does have tools. And he would have a much better situation offensively than what he had last year. The thing is I am seeing a lot of good stuff from PJ and that kind of is what it is. It is somewhat likely that PJ gets dinged or figured out or something and sits but for now I would not change QBs. I got one thing, PJ hits the receiver in stride a good amount of the time. That is where it’s at.
