You sure about that? I think that you'll find is that they say they don't know. Which indicates to me that it's not likely. The rare "breakthrough" cases where someone is reinfected is likely not even Covid. It's likely that the person has the flu or a cold, but the testing yielded a positive result because they still have dead virus in their body. That's one reason why they say serious disease from reinfection is very rare. It's because it's likely not even Covid.

I roll my eyes at the virus these days. Omicron is more contagious but not nearly as deadly. Its in essence a very contagious cold. If your vaccinated thats cool. You'll still get. If you arent vaccinated you'll get it. If you had it you wont get it. At some point everyone will have it. Destroying culture and ways of life wont change the favt that everyone will get it. In a way Omicron is a freaking blessing. It would be awesome if everyone caught Omicron because its natures vaccine. Way less potent virus that still provides the antibodies.

Brown is a baby looking bitch. I shouldnt be upset trading him. Ive said before he is a bust, and lacks the tenacity to be effective.

Attended my first Panthers game in 4 years
TheMaulClaw replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
So Charlotte is nice but has its problems. There are by far worse cities, and a few better ones. People from Charlotte have a bit of an ego when it comes to their city. Bad things about Charlotte. 1) Its a pain in the ass the get too if you live on the outskirts of town. 2) There is no middle class in uptown. Its either rich or homeless. 3) Lacks a clear arts district. Nice things about Charlotte. 1) Has nice modernism with a lot of parks 2) Hot girls 3) Very walkable. Its more pristine then Raleigh, but Raleigh has a better working class and I always find someone to have a good conversation with in Raleigh. Overall I think the people in Raleigh are nicer. Raleigh's downtown is no where near as classy as Charlotte architecturally speaking but Raleigh has a vibe that is more endearing and less intimidating to be a part of. In a way its easier to be social there. Homelessness is bad both places. Overall I like both places and could live in either one. In the Carolinas though there are places that are just as liveable. Loved living in Asheville. Greenville SC is an underrated city. I live in Charleston which can both feel like paradise and hell at the same time. -
Jordan Gross talks arm length (Rhule is full of poo)
TheMaulClaw replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know I know...It was meant in a pseudo trolling sort of jest. Now I can't stand Rhule, but I don't think this was an idiot thing. I mean a ton of other teams passed on Christiansen too, which is why we were able to get him in the 3rd. Had we passed and he blew up somewhere else....then that's an idiot thing. But getting a good player in the 3rd because of his arm length is actually not stupid. -

Is Jordan saying we should have taken BC in the first? -
Defense had a nice start but has proved to be alarmingly average....Derrick Brown is a bust.

Jerry Richardson knew you didn't have to win it all, just some.

2 Super bowl appearances in 12 years. Both could have and should have been won. -
The saving grace of the CRAP that is our roster right now is the upcoming free agent market. There are some solid OL that will be available. We may be in position to draft a top tackle, but I think we could also go for a few big signings in the trenches that could help transform our team from the inside out. Scherff, Norwell, Solder, Kelce, and Armstead are all FA's this year. In no world does it make sense to bring back Jackson with our depth in the secondary. I'd like to see the team do something it hasn't done in a long time. Spend some money on some nasty guards. Not this soft Trai Turner type of stuff, but the Todd Steussie kind of stuff. If we're going to be stuck with the CMC contract than lets get a fuggin line for God's sake! Make it happen! Wanna better defense? Offensive line. Wanna better offense? Offensive line. Want entertaining Cam presser's? Offensive line.

Well I think Rhule definitely thought the team was better then they were. The only real bad trade I see is the Darnold trade. I still don't hate the Henderson trade. If we had all of our picks in place less the 3rd for Henderson no one would be complaining. Conversely we probably don't find a 3rd round corner in that spot better then him. Also it saves us paying DJax. Really both the Gilmore and Henderson trades were good moves in my opinion. I think it's fairly obvious we're in a trade down situation in the upcoming draft again unless there is a qb there. We do have a good bit of cap room so we aren't completely fugged. That said we would be in an amazing spot if it wasn't for the Darnold extension.

Did I just watch the Canes or the goddamn Panthers. Time to bring Lyon up and trade Trocheck.

Matt Rhule: "We have to double down on our approach"
TheMaulClaw replied to ENCPantherfan2's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is what it is...is the greatest and I miss it compared to this crap. -
Yeah, but CMC would have been hurt regardless. They barely played him last week. He didn't get a bunch of touches yesterday, and his hamstring injury was no contact. His knock coming out was he was to small to be an every down back, and it's true. CMC while a great talent is also the curse of this franchise. We've never been good with him on the roster.

Morgan has experience that you're not counting. He was a hell of a player. In my opinion that's an experience multiplier. I look at what the Canes did. They brought in Rod Brindamour as coach. At the time a lot of people didn't like it. He'd only been an assistant for two years, but he's come in and connected with the players, created a culture, and has the respect to hold players accountable, because he's gone through everything they're going through. A Dan Morgan hire, has the potential to be that sort of gutsy hire that we need.

JR might have been a man stuck in is era. He made some mistakes...but he was a good team owner. He developed a culture, and gave us pretty great memories. All of us are humans. All of us are sinners and make mistakes. All of us have done wrong things in our lives. I think people can be redeemed, and develop wisdom though bad decisions. Not all, but many. I'm not an overly religious person, but I like Jesus. An interesting observation to me is that so many people expect their demigods to be perfect like Jesus. Not happening. Anyway, I'm not sure if the NFL is directly involved for fixing games or not, but what I can tell you it's more likely we're just a bad team and have been for 4 seasons now. We've made a string of poor decisions and have dug ourselves a deeper and deeper hole. We have an owner who took over a winning team with a lot of buzz and ran it into the ground. The Charlotte media, out for blood, clickbait, and woke political narratives, drove a good owner out and helped usher in a bad owner who ultimately will lead to way more local tax dollars being spent. Make zero mistake, I'm not advocating for JRs mistakes, it's just the punishment didn't fit the crime lets say compared to Bob Kraft. King Nebuchadnezzar wouldn't approve. As far as Tepper goes. I don't think he intentionally ran the team into the ground, but he's never played football and isn't a football guy. He lacks the foundational awareness of what a team needs. JR played, we had good QBs under JR for the most part. Outside of Clausen, and Weinke, but Clausen was by design in preparations for the new CBA, and shortly after Weinke played we were in the Superbowl. So every time we had a bad qb under JR there was a clear plan in place for the upcoming seasons to drastically improve.

I actually wouldn't be too upset with just making Morgan the GM

We are seeing the end of Cam's career

TheMaulClaw replied to Hayden Panettiere's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cam just had a bad day. Still better then Sam. Just one game. Played great the other two games. If you lose with multiple qbs before Cam arrives and you lose after Cam arrives then its probably scheme not the player. -
All of this sort of reminds me of one of my fav pc games called Frostpunk. Pretty much you have to start a new town in a frozen landscape, keep people warm, fed, make hard decisions. Ultimately you have to survive a huge storm without everyone freezing to death. In that game you have to keep the hope meter high and the discontent meter low or they banish you and you lose the game. So in essence decisions you make early in the game really come back to haunt you and are the reason you're unprepared at the end, and you lose. Right now I see hope lost and discontent high, because the owner neglected O line and QB, and now he needs to get banished.

For those that missed Terry's yoyo move...
TheMaulClaw replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Also that it was done at lightning speed. A cut dribble is very hard to execute with that sort of speed. It's very easy to begin the jump back before you have the ball firmly re controlled because that sort of dribble requires the perfect amount of english on it. It would have been easy to jump back and allow the ball to bounce off your fingertips. The fact that he nailed it with that sort of speed and precision coming off a screen is very impressive. Terry is nasty. -
Electrifying speed.

I haven't seen him even get open this year. When he does he drops it. I don't think he commands so much respect where he forces opposing safeties to play deep.

Yes I know we have other more glaring needs specifically along the OL. However, whenever the Panthers O has been at it's best we've had a true deep threat. In fact we've never really been able to replace Ted Ginn. I think the Panthers need to pursue a downfield threat next year. DJ is a good receiver but he can't really blow the top off. I'm not sure what Robby is at this point. Seems like we tried to use Samuel in that role with mixed results. I personally think Cam's shoulder isn't an issue and a legit deep threat would open things up for CMC and our playaction in general. Have you guys noticed we've been lacking this for years now?
