I think the Milton kid from Tennessee is going to be big time.
-
Everyone knew this was going to be a blowout

Chuba did well this year and Rhule's wife drafted him
-
Wilks did a good job and we could do far worse if we hired him.
-
Lol. He is not the most talented player in team history.

How are you using Magic here? Ball is no Magic. Why is he even being compared to any of the greats? Kemba Walker was better. Hell Kemba got us to the playoffs with the same coach we are seeing now. Hell Gerald Wallace was better. Baron Davis was better. Ball ranks about 19th on the best Hornets list if that.

We are fine. All that's happened is the team has taken a collective breath after the winning streak. I knew a small losing streak was coming. It sucks we won't be at the top of THG's power rankings, but I trust Rod and he is going to get us back on track quickly.

Team is doing fine, but we have a goalie problem.

I know it's not popular opinion. I don't mean any disrespect. I think he would be a great piece for a contending team, but his game is missing a killer instinct and I don't have much faith in him in the clutch. If you think about it, prior to the NBA he never really felt the pressure of winning. Every team he played on a team was meant for his personal development. Winning didn't really matter. It got him to where he wants to go so I applaud that, but he never felt the pressure to win. A team centerpiece is supposed to hold other teammates accountable. They're supposed to rally their teammates to form a collective. Ball just isn't a leader, he is a business man. He is not a bad man and he's a good ball player, but he doesn't have the fire to lead his teammates.

Never really thought the guy was the type of player that could lead us to the playoffs. It's all social media hits and what not. I think we should get out of the Lamelo business. Get what we can for him. Team is dreadful. He is skilled but not a winner.

"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal
TheMaulClaw replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Burns is a liability on every down that isn't a pass rushing down and he disappears in big games. -
Hornets and Bridges Working On A Deal…
TheMaulClaw replied to MillionDollarCam's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Not all men do. Redeem is an interesting word. What does it mean to redeem? If by redeem you mean maybe he has a chance to make amends to his family, maybe. Maybe his kids won't hate him their whole lives. Maybe redemption for Bridges is to get a normal job and try to make it right with his children by being there. There is no redemption for him if he abandons his children by chasing a bag. Redeem may mean forgiveness, but it doesn't entitle you to a once in a million job. He has plenty of money, professionally anyone of us would have been let go and not rehired. Redemption in Bridges case shouldn't mean everything is restored just fine and here is a multi million dollar contract. -

Harbaugh to Carolina Makes Too Much Sense...
TheMaulClaw replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Harbaugh is going to the Colts, write it down. Harbaugh still wants retribution for the 1995 afc championship game with the Steelers where Harbaugh almost completed a Hail Mary to win the game. Great game I still remember. -
The scenario that scares me is this. Often times docs will keep a patient alive just so all the family can get there and say their last goodbyes. The longer this goes without a "condition" change, the more I fear this is the case. We could also be looking at a scenario where the league is wanting to bring in it's own doctors to perform the next step. These doctors live around the country and from a logistics standpoint it may take a day or two for them to arrive, so the doctors in Cincinatti are monitoring and keeping him alive until some of the world class doctors arrive on the scene.

Fitt has been awful. He made a bunch of bad trades, and then had to trade our best player to recoup the losses of his bad trades. Conversely he could have gotten a ransom for Burns and he didn't. Burns is known to disappear in big games, and he's a liability in the run game. Burns is a guy that when you go beyond the surface you realize he is alarmingly average with only one good skill set. He resigned Robbie Anderson too quickly, awful. The CJ Henderson trade is truly dreadful, I have not seen a player who doesn't gaf as much as Henderson. That guy has zero heart and doesn't even like playing football. Fitterer didn't push for a coaching change, he let a lame duck awful coach stick around too long. Fitterer did an awful job this season, and last season. He's done a poor job of evaluating the qb position. Him allowing a lame duck coach to go through the death spiral of losing his job by bringing in Mayfield was a terrible decision, for the team and the players. What's funny is, now everyone is blaming Steve WIlks because they are fugging idiots. This actually may fall on Tepper and not Fitterer, Tepper did a hire a "yes" guy who has no backbone and didn't make the tough decisions before the season started.

Wilks Set This Team Back
TheMaulClaw replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wilks did a great job. Wilks didn't ruin this season, in fact he made it bearable. We have had a lot high draft picks lately, it hasn't made a difference. This game falls at the feat of Fitterer. He traded CMAC way too soon, and the CJ Henderson trade is a nightmare. -
With what we are seeing here tonight, and plenty of other recent examples (Tua, AB) at some point everybody might need just to walk away. These players are too big, too strong, and too fast. With the type of hits that are happening now, this will only exponentially increase. I don't enjoy watching people die.
-
I still like Wilks. I thought he made great progress. He saved the season and provided hope after the CMC trade and an abysmal start. He deserves consideration. Really a fantastic job by Wilks to come in and own that position and settle the team and the fans.

Jaycee Horne injury did us in. Entertaining game. Way to fight until the end.

Does anyone else want to see Brady crushed as much as I do?
TheMaulClaw replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not really. I want to win. Brady is actually a really good guy. My old friend David Patten (rip) kept up with Brady and gave me insight into how good of a guy he was. I want to win, but I respect Brady and I want to see him walk away from the game healthy, but with a loss. -
He is definitely playing better in the present day.
