  1. Reich's last game they lost 26 to 3 to the Patriots. The team had 121 total yards. They lost 17 to 16 to the Commanders. They were 3-5-1 and in the bottom 5 in offense and that's with Matt Ryan. Now Matt Ryan is washed but he is better then anything we had in the last 3 years. You guys act like he is the second coming. Ron Rivera was 76-67-1 and went to a superbowl....would he be a good hire? Would you want him back? Because by every metric he is a better and more accomplished coach then Reich. By any metric Reich's failures this year was worse then Wilks. Now you guys can live in the past and say Reich was great when he had a great QB....well no fugging shiit. All coaches are great with a great QB. But I get it...he did great 2 seasons ago so statistically he must be a better coach then a guy performing better then him today.
  2. Bad analogies with bad context are dumb Mr Scot. I've been very respectful of you. If you don't agree with respectful discourse let me know and I'll flip the switch.
  3. The team was abysmal. Taking a team from abysmal worst in the league to average is an outstanding jump. Guy won more games in 12 games then the previous asshat Tepper hired did in 2 years.
  4. And Wilks rewarded Tepper. He saved the season for Tepper. He changed the perception of the team for the better. If Wilks hadn't done the type of job he did the heat on Tepper would be at an all time high. Considering Tepper is the same guy who brought in Rhule.
  5. I appreciate the honest and cordial discourse. It's hard to know. David Shaw was interviewed by the Broncos but no one else interviewed him. Teams aren't congruent with who they want to interview. Obviously Indy didn't think much of Reich but that doesn't mean we thought he was awful. I think the fact that Wilks is involved in a lawsuit is more of a red flag to other owners. Precisely for what's happened here in the past few days. I do think Wilks will get another opportunity. He is a good coach. I think that most teams will stay away from Wilks this year because this is messy and they would rather avoid the distraction. I do think he gets a job this year despite that...got a feeling it would be the Steelers.
  6. I mean they denied UAE's for years didn't they? Who created the term conspiracy theory? Just because I don't buy every press release doesn't mean I believe in lizard people. Mr Scot...thats a crap argument. We are talking about NFL owners and you bring in fuging lizard people. Once again taking something to the extreme. Trying to reduce me down to Alex Jones for thinking Wilks was mishandled. Jesus Christ get a grip
  7. Where does it say they are villains? They know this story is out there. You are saying if they don't acknowledge something that is bothering a lot of people that it's somehow more evidence they are being truthful. I digress.
  8. The point is, is that Tepper said he would give Wilks consideration if he did an incredible job. Wilks did an incredible job. The Panthers did everything they could to make it seem like was truly considered when he wasn't. Then they leak that he is a finalist but never was. I will always be a fan of the Panthers, but for the one game we go up against a Wilks defense (hopefully) I'll root for him to kick our ass.
  9. This rule applies to external candidates. Not mad at the owner for knowing who he wants. I'm upset that they made it seem like Wilks was in contention the whole time but he wasn't even the second choice. Sorry I'm not a fan of evil HR departments.
  10. What are you doing? Why do you take what I say and make it something extreme? Did I say all owners were villains? I dont think our owner is a villain, but I don't think he is a good guy either. Ask Rock Hill. Ask people who bought property in Eastland Mall area. Ask Steve Wilks. Saying that owners communicate through back channels is nothing conspiratorial. It's widely known.
  11. You haven't read one thing I've said. I have repeatedly said this isn't about race.
  12. Owners and GMs are naturally conspiratorial. Everything they do is tight to the vest because of strategical advantage. I will be happy to listen to what the Panthers say about all this at the PC. If the address it then great. If they dodge it...then fug em.
  13. Almost all the teams had better records then us when Wilks took over.
  14. Mr Scot we'll just agree to let this conversation rest for now. We will see what happens in the coming weeks as the truth comes out. Like I said, if I'm wrong about this I'll be the first to admit it, but let's just see what happens okay?
  15. Brady and Payton did this last year with Miami. Many teams just don't get caught.
  16. Well I hope they were, but based on the attorney's response that doesn't appear to be the case. If the Panthers are transparent and honest with us about the process and everything looks good, then wonderful. Crisis averted, hope restored. Let's see what they say about it on Tuesday.
  17. You don't think parties communicate through back channels in the NFL. It's widely known.
  18. Do you think Matt Rhule had been contacted by colleges before he was let go of? Because there were rumors he was going to Nebraska while still on the sideline with us. It's possible Reich knew he was done prior to being fired.
  19. I didn't say it was a prerequisital. I think Reich is a good guy and he doesn't strike me as the type to demand something like that as a condition of employment. I do think it's possible that the team had a nod nod wink wink agreement much earlier for him to be the coach, and hired her after that. Do we really think that the Panthers wouldn't have contacted Reich much earlier then the formal interviews? It wouldn't have broken any tampering rules. They absolutely spoke to Reich much earlier in the process then they said. Which is okay, but at least be upfront with Wilks. That's the part that pisses me off. Just be honest with the man.
  20. And that is okay as long as the Wilks interviews were legitimate.
  21. I hope it's the case and if this comes out to be true then I'll walk back everything.
  22. The timing is very interesting. That's all I could say. Now over all the other time she has been here this is when she applies. She announced right after the last game. The timing is very interesting.
  23. Yeah sometimes it is that way..and sometimes it's warranted. There is enough circumstantial evidence in this case to take a look. I hope that the Panthers have just a truly terrible PR department...but it seems to me that there was a whole lot of misinformation leaked to the media about how much of a viable candidate Wilks truly was. I hope it's just bad optics. I hope the Panthers address this on Tuesday to provide clarity. Though Iw would put money on Tepper dodging. God I wish we would have landed Navarro.
