  1. we would still need a defender in the post. One source stated that the Hornets are very intrigued by the possibility of adding Porzingis. They want to add a big man alongside LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier. Porzingis would not bring the defensive presence that they would like, but he would add more offensive firepower and more star power in general. During the 2020-21 season with the Mavericks, Porzingis ended up averaging 20.1 points per game to go along with 8.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 blocks. He shot 47.6 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 37.6 percent of his three-point attempts. Those numbers show why a team like the Hornets should take a long look at acquiring him this offseason. Even though he is receiving a lot of criticism right now, there is no question that Porzingis is still a star in the NBA. He can score at a high level and is not a bad rebounder either. At just 25 years of age, Porzingis still has plenty of room to grow and improve. With a young and dynamic team like the Hornets, he could come in and fit perfectly right off the bat. https://www.nbaanalysis.net/2021/06/14/report-hornets-among-teams-considering-trade-for-kristaps-porzingis/
  2. good find OP. Don't know where you've been, but glad you found the Huddle.
  3. we are a free safety away from one of the best secondary's in the NFL...amazing to say that thinking where we were a year ago. also, Boo-yay is gonna get a lot of play in game threads this year
  4. Robby sounds grounded. I hope Aquib saved his money, because if he needs to make money hosting shows, he might as well just set up a go fund me. Robby is a character, but he's real and honest and I like him. and Robby likes Rhule..."he saved my life." also, those guys and I have different definitions of gas.
  5. honestly, between the DL, the LBs and Secondary....if the LBs are our weakest unit, I'm ok with that. We do need to draft some young talent next year, but I love what we have this year. Everything is set up for Reddick and Burns to eat well.
  6. One week ago, in his OTA report Zod said this "Sam Darnold looked as good as any Panthers QB in OTAs I have seen. Throws were mostly good and on target. Not perfect, but they never are at this point in the season. There is a giant drop off between him and the next man up."
  7. David Newton @DNewtonespn · 9m Panthers coach Matt Rhule showed the team video today of him sounding the siren before Tuesday night’s Hurricanes game. He wanted players to get a feel for what it’s like having a packed house and noise. “The game is still fun because of the fans,’’ quarterback Sam Darnold said. David Newton @DNewtonespn · 22m The Panthers ran a lot of hurry-up drills today with crowd noise because coach Matt Rhule wanted players to start getting a feel for what it's going to be like with fans in the stands again. And for noise in general. Haven't seen much crowd noise used in OTAs over the years.
  8. Joe Person @josephperson · 11m Sam Darnold: "We know that Robby (Anderson) is going to be ready whenever he gets here." Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 11m Sam Darnold says he's been talking to Robby Anderson and that he knows he'll be ready "whenever he gets here."
  9. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 49s Sam Darnold says he has not yet been vaccinated. "I still gotta think about all those certain things that go into it ... It's everyone's choice, whether they want to get vaccinated or not."
  10. Joe Person @josephperson · 1m Donte Jackson missed a bunch of snaps last year with turf toe. But says he feels great this spring physically and did not need offseason surgery on the toe. David Newton @DNewtonespn · 6m Panthers cornerback Donte Jackson on the secondary with the addition of players such as first-round pick Jaycee Horn. “We can be dominant. We can be dominant.’’
  11. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 2m Matt Rhule says that the practices with the Indianapolis Colts before the first preseason game in Indy have been finalized. Panthers will have two days of practices with Colts and then a rest day before Aug. 15 game.
  12. Rhule again says he has no reason to expect Robby not to be here next week.
  13. Bill Voth @PanthersBill · 5m Brandon Zylstra is having a nice practice.
  14. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 19m DT DaQuan Jones is back at practice after not attending last week’s day open to the media.
  15. Jonathan M Alexander @jonmalexander · 15m DL Yetur Gross-Matos, Morgan Fox and Brian Burns all in red jerseys .
  16. Joe Person @josephperson · 4m No Dan Arnold today. Jonathan M Alexander @jonmalexander · 3m Rookie Jaycee Horn isn’t at today’s practice. AJ Bouye and Donte Jackson seeing the majority of the action at corner today.
  17. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 6m Panthers first-round pick CB Jaycee Horn is not at today’s voluntary practice. Joe Person @josephperson · 6m Not seeing Jaycee Horn. A bunch of guys in red, incl Burns, Chinn, Fox, YGM, Shi Smith, Scott, Cam Erving.
  18. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 2m Morgan Fox, Cam Erving and Shi Smith are among the new Panthers in red jerseys today. Erving and Smith working to the side on exercise bikes. Joe Person @josephperson · 11m Haason Reddick not here today.
  19. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 11s Replying to @agetzenberg Robby Anderson missing once again.
  20. dude better hope cops find him before TD does
  21. David Newton @DNewtonespn · 13m Panthers owner David Tepper once said he wanted to put a domed stadium in Charlotte. But after Covid-19 and a few years of experiencing the great weather in the area he said ‘'there's no way in hell'' he would build a domed stadium. His 5-10 year plan Joe Person @josephperson · 14m Tepper says at some point BoA Stad is “going to fall down.” But ... “I’m not building the stadium alone. The community is going to have to want it.” Joe Person @josephperson · 17m Tepper says the Charlotte Pipe and Foundry location still makes sense. Or the Panthers could play somewhere else for a couple years and build a new stadium on the site of Bank of America Stadium. That was what the Vikings did. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 16m One possibility for a new stadium includes building where the current one is and playing elsewhere for a few years. Said Pipe & Foundry site still could make sense.
