  1. Sam Darnold looked as good as any Panthers QB in OTAs I have seen. Sam Darnold looked as good as any Panthers QB in OTAs I have seen. Sam Darnold looked as good as any Panthers QB in OTAs I have seen. .
  2. interesting take. In the video, he did seem to have a really good relationship with Rhule. We noted his apparent nervousness in his introductory (?) presser, but at the start of the video you mentioned, it showed at the beginning Tepper telling him "you're in charge" or something to that effect. I think Fitt took that as a vote of confidence, but I wonder if Tepper needed him to feel that. I mean when you're dealing with personalities as strong as David Tepper and Matt Rhule, I'd be damn nervous too. In the end, I think he was pretty nervous but settled in as he went through his process during the draft...."trust the board." And afterword, he was given a lot of praise for his work. Now, the players we chose have to pan out. Lot of injury concerns, lot of off the field concerns, but we got a haul of players that Matt likes, willing to learn, coachable, and fit the mold of the team he's trying to build. We'll see, but I do feel good about most of these guys.
  3. I prefer to see him at SS to keep him closer to the action, but he did run a 4.45 at the combine. He may have to play some FS this year because he might be the best option right now, but if we can find a true FS, he'll be the the Chancellor for this team for the next 8 to 10 10 years, and it will be damn fun to watch and we'll be
  4. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 24s Jeremy Chinn has been meeting and working with the safety group, but says that he's comfortable playing anywhere.
  5. Joe Person @josephperson · 4m Brian Burns says he lost weight after his surgery but he’s slowly been adding it back and he’s now actually a little heavier than 2020.
  6. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 1m Brian Burns says he feels like the Panthers defense has all the pieces needed now to be complete. Jonathan M Alexander @jonmalexander · 1m Replying to @jonmalexander Brian Burns said his goal for this upcoming season is to "dominate," and he believe the new pieces the Panthers got will help him achieve that. He also wants to be a leader in the locker room. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 1m Burns described his shoulder procedure in the offseason as "small" and said he feels fine.
  7. Joe Person @josephperson · 29s Panthers DE Brian Burns says he’s feeling good after a “small” shoulder procedure in offseason. As for the new EDGE guys, Burns says offenses now will have to “pick their poison.” Jonathan M Alexander @jonmalexander · 15s Panthers DE Brian Burns had a procedure on his shoulder this offseason. He said he's feeling good, and taking it slow as his shoulder continues to improve.
  8. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 17m Matt Rhule said he has no reason to believe that WR Robby Anderson won’t be in Charlotte for the mandatory minicamp in two weeks. Anderson has been absent from voluntary OTAs.
  9. Joe Person @josephperson · 14m Matt Rhule says Ian Thomas has had a “tremendous offseason.” He won't make the team.
  10. Sam looking better here...not an easy play to defend.
  11. I've been hoping we see more CMC in the slot, and now with Chuba....
  12. Sam not look his best on this throw, but Shi sure is. In a deep WR draft, I'm glad he fell to us. I think he'll contribute immediately on special teams, and eventually will be WR3 with a good chance to be WR2.
  13. Joe Person @josephperson · 6m Looks like 88 of 90 here today, w/ Robby Anderson and DaQuan Jones the only exceptions. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 6m DT DaQuan Jones joins WR Robby Anderson as the only absences from today’s practice among the 90 players on the roster. Marken Michel, Troy Pride, Chuba Hubbard, Terrace Marshall also in red.
  14. Joe Person @josephperson · 24m Greg Little is out of the red injury and practicing. Joe Person @josephperson · 26m No Robby Anderson again at Panthers’ OTAs. Bravvion Roy and Daviyon Nixon are back after missing last week’s session that was open to media. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 22m Trent Scott, Jeremy Chinn and Brian Burns among those still in red injury jerseys. Greg Little is back in a normal jersey. 15. Alaina Getzenberg @agetzenberg · 22m Robby Anderson is once again missing from voluntary OTAs. Others who missed last week, including Daviyon Nixon and Bravvion Nixon, have returned.
  16. covered mainly Hornets and NBA but did some Panthers and NFL as well. 63 years old Jonathan M Alexander @jonmalexander · 14m An extremely sad day at the Observer for me and my colleagues. Rick Bonnell was a beautiful person, who went out of his way to help me out. For that, I’ll forever be grateful and will miss him.
  17. Bradberry wanted out. Don't blame him, it was during the transition. He got paid by the guy that drafted him, and is set for life. We did want him though.
  18. large part of this problem was cap space. As bad as Hurney was at drafting after the first round, he was even worse at giving out contracts, which led to our inability to keep players like Josh Norman. Obviously, when you draft as hideously as Hurney, there's not a lot of guys you want to resign any way. Now look at all our cap space moving forward, with tons of young talent we'll be able to keep in the future. So grateful for the new regime.
  19. The Hornets won the coin toss with the Spurs for the 11th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. The two teams finished with the same record, so a coin toss was used to determine who would pick first. Both teams will share the same lottery odds, but if neither team moves up to the top four, the Hornets will pick 11th, and the Spurs will pick 12th. LaMelo Ball is releasing 500 NFTs before the Rookie of the Year announcement. The NFTs will be updated with his Rookie of the Year award if and when he wins it. If you want to get in on the ground floor of the LaMelo Ball NFT game, now is your chance. The Hornets could have eyes on Daniel Theis in free agency. Theis is coming off a down year with the Bulls, but he’s a solid big, especially on the defense end. Plus he’d be another piece as the Hornets try to recreate the 2018-19 Celtics roster. https://www.atthehive.com/2021/5/30/22461096/charlotte-hornets-news-and-notes-james-borrego-lamelo-ball-2021-nba-draft-order

  21. my thinking was more bring Chuba in at RB, put CMC where Brady wants him, DJ and Robby outside, Terrace/David Moore in the slot....I mean, what's that bear doin?
