  1. Troy Pride on IR as well. Wonder if we can turn someone into a FS and get Chinn back closer to the action.
  2. to add to the Huddle fappening.... CMC is back at practice today.
  3. Jaylon’s issues are beyond the box score. His breakdowns and mental lapses in coverage are easy to see and his tackles, while many, are happening after opponents are well past the line of scrimmage. His actual effectiveness on the field has dropped significantly from 2018; one of the lower-graded starting linebackers in football. No, the issues now with Jaylon are ones we never saw coming. He’s not the elite player we were promised, despite being fully and consistently healthy https://insidethestar.com/jaylon-smith-was-always-high-risk-but-nobody-expected-this/
  4. Bouknight got 20 points in 21 minutes. 7-12 from the floor, 1-3 from 3, 5-5 FTs, 2 assists, 3 steals, 4 turnovers, 2 fouls. Plus 12 when he's on the floor. lol, pretty strong debut
  5. heard someone on NFL network talking about the game yesterday. He said the old adage of dealing with speed is to run right at it, and that's what the Cowboys did. However, the Cowboys do have an excellent OL and 2 excellent backs, one of whom is a beast. Just not a good matchup for us.
  6. I think we've got everyone we want off the Jets, maybe we'll start getting more Jags now
  7. Michael Lombardi @mlombardiNFL • 57m According to two Jacksonville sources, there are many closed-door meetings happening over the last two days in the football offices and none of them have anything to do with the Titans. Stay tuned. This might get ugly.
  8. sneaks up on you when the pandemic doesn't affect the start of the season! No TV that I can find. Wed. Oct 13 home against Dallas will be on ESPN.
  9. for those saying Donte could be the odd man out, I'd say your right. If Henderson shows he's a starter by the end of the year, it just won't work out for Donte with the Panthers. No way he wants to be the 3rd CB when he can easily get starter money from another team. The way he's been tackling this year will get him that. The trade deadline is Nov. 2. Panthers have a good chance to be 7-1 or 6-2 so that complicates things. If we think we have a playoff team we'd probably keep him and just let him walk at the end of the year with no return. If Sam gets injured, or CMC re-injured, it may be best to go ahead and get a good player or pick now. If he walks, we'll get a 3rd round comp pick, , but not till 2023, and we need a pick in this years draft. Can't see us getting a second considering his upcoming contract, but I could easily see a team with cap space sending a 3rd. Or.....someone could give us a starting quality OLineman that can start fitting in immediately (and protecting our QB).
  10. Carolina Blitz @KeepBlitzin · 7m Christian McCaffrey Expected to Practice Wednesday Good news out of Carolina Monday as head coach Matt Rhule said during his press conference that he expects Christian McCaffrey will practice Wednesday. The all-pro running back was sidelined for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys after sustaining a hamstring injury during the Panthers’ week-three win over the Texans. McCaffrey’s participation in practice isn’t a guarantee that he’ll play Sunday against the Eagles, but it is a good sign. Don’t expect the Panthers to rush McCaffrey back. It’s a long season and Carolina wants to make sure he’s fully healthy before returning. http://carolinablitz.com/2021/10/04/christian-mccaffrey-expected-to-practice-wednesday/
  11. cool moment after our old QB Taylor Heinike thew the TD pass to beat the Falcons. Being interviewed after the game the reporter asked about the support he got from people who believed in him while he was playing for the St. Louis Battlesox before signing with the WFT. Said he was trying not to get emotional but his sister and and brother in law were at the game, and he lived with them supported him while he was trying to make it. He was choking up but held it together. Always glad to see someone keep working, get a chance, and succeed.
  12. hurts not having our 2nd and 3rd but not complaining. Darnold was more than worth it, and we have reason to hope that Rhule can rehabilitate our new corner by next year. So it we go the trade route, it'll have to be 2023 picks....or one of our valued players. The question is, who are we willing to part with who is capable of being a long term player for their new team? If we go this route, it's gonna hurt.
  13. There will be a LOT of competition for the good young ones. They will get paid. We're going to have to bite the bullet and spend some money. It will probably mean letting one of our defensive stars go. If we draft one starter like Linderbaum, and sign one good one, we'll be a lot closer. We had a 2nd round grade on Brady as a guard, so if he pans out we'll have 3 new good ones alongside Taylor. LT is, as always, ....oof. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/offensive-line//
  14. Bill Voth @PanthersBill · 2m Cowboys have 9 QB hits and 4 sacks. Panthers have 1 QB hit and 0 sacks.
  15. true Bill Voth @PanthersBill · 2m Through 3.5 games, Sam Darnold’s poise continues to be the most impressive thing about him.
  16. hell the league record may be in danger NFL Research @NFLResearch · 5m Sam Darnold is the first QB in NFL history with 5+ rush TD in his team's first 4 games of a season Darnold had just 5 rush TD in his career entering this season
  17. good news though Joe Person @josephperson · 1m Reddick returned that series. Trainers look to be working on Shaq Thompson's right ankle or leg.
  18. Darin Gantt @daringantt · 14s Looks like they’re taping Shaq’s foot.
  19. they're going on 4th and 3 and then changed their mind. got 4 minutes to add some points, but play smart
