  1. fantastic info. I know we've spent a lot of time X L, so in my mocks I've been taking him in the 2nd. Sounds like we can get him in the 3rd. That really frees up a lot of stuff. 33 is going to be a really good player, probably someone who is not a receiver who would go in the first but got bumped by teams taking receivers (and rightfully so) in the first.
  2. reason to believe that one of the last two will be there at 33. I'm good with X or LMC there. There may be an edge that looks really good, but we have so many holes to fill, take the help for Young and at our second pick, BPA will surely fit one of our holes. Imho, after WR, we need corner, edge, lb, center, te, and dl. We will get excellent value at the second pick. Take the wr at 33.
  3. works out to 24 mill per year, I'm good with that. bulk wil be pushed to the last 2 years
  4. Baker got a good deal. I'm happy. I think. Here are the details from some of the recently agreed-upon contracts around the NFC: Baker Mayfield, QB (Buccaneers). Three years, $100MM. Of the $50MM in Mayfield guarantees, $40MM is fully guaranteed. The other $10MM will shift from an injury guarantee to a full guarantee on Day 5 of the 2025 league year. Mayfield can also earn $5MM per year via incentives, Fox Sports’ Greg Auman notes. Half of those are stat-based incentives. If Mayfield finishes in the top 10 in the NFL (or top five in the NFC) in passer rating, TD passes, yards, yards per attempt or completion percentage in any of the three years, he would earn $500K per category, Auman adds. The other $2.5MM per year comes through playoff incentives. Mayfield would earn $500K for a Bucs wild-card win, $750K for a divisional-round conquest and $500K for an NFC championship game win. If the Bucs are to win a Super Bowl with Mayfield at the helm, he would collect another $750K. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2024/04/nfc-contract-details-buccaneers-mayfield-eagles-sweat-parker-rams-garoppolo-saints
  5. Terrace is heading into year 4 and will have his 5th different head coach. He was dealt a bad hand. Hopefully our new offensive minded coach and a better OL will give TMJ a better shot to succeed.
  6. his running mate was considered the higher prospect until he broke out at the Senior bowl. moved up the charts, should be able to get him inhte fifth
  7. Vegas has released betting odds for team wins. They see the Falcons taking the division, 10.5 wins is the betting line. Bucs at 8.5, Saints at 7.5 and Panthers at 4.5, tied for worst the Patriots. Hey, we'll probably have a top 3 pick next year. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/chiefs-ravens-49ers-favored-to-have-nfls-best-records-with-win-totals-set-at-11-5
  8. just checked him out. Damn....good post. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Trey-Benson-RB-Oregon
  9. Corbett is in his last year. We could sign him again but I'd much rather spend one of our seconds or our third on a Center to learn this year and take over.
  10. hate to start a rookie on OL. Best thing is to let Corbet handle it this year, his final year on contract. Use one of our first 3 picks on c and let him learn a year and strengthen up. We're getting lucky on that position. One of Van Pran-Granger out of Georgia, Barton out of Duke or Frazier out of WVA would get the job done.
  11. and it starts with interesting news from NO. Their once vaunted OL is now in shambles. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2024/03/saints-t-ryan-ramczyk-in-danger-of-missing-2024-season Saints T Ryan Ramczyk In Danger Of Missing 2024 Season Offensive line is already a priority for the Saints, a team which has question marks on the blindside given Trevor Penning‘s struggles early in his career. Longtime starter Andrus Peat is unsigned, as are Cameron Erving and Max Garcia. Having Ramczyk unavailable for some or all of the upcoming season would add further to the urgency on New Orleans’ part to make multiple additions up front in the second wave of free agency and the draft. The former first-rounder agreed to restructure his deal and lowered his cap hit to $12.86MM in the process. He is owed $6.5MM guaranteed for 2024 regardless of his health status, but a release or retirement could come into play next offseason without progress in his rehab. Ramczyk is under contract through 2026, and Underhill’s colleague Mike Triplett notes the team would incur $23MM in dead money in either development.
  12. if he lasts that long. Power back, good hands too. would love to see him on 3rd and short behind our new OL
  13. you're the best poster on this board, glad they made you a mod
  14. which of these guys are outside receivers? Someone here said Mingo was best suited for the slot, and of course we have Adam T
  15. i'm happy with Braswell, but if Chop dropped to 28, I'd think about moving up with our 4th. But who knows where he is on our board? I'm not as sold on Morgan as some of you, although I like what he's done so far. Ain't nothing I can do but watch and keep my fingers crossed.
  16. Morgan has said we will not trade up, will make a pick at 33 or trade down. Gotta build all around.
  17. Which centers fit our scheme? When I run mock drafts, I hate not knowing what OL fit our new scheme. I've read this is a pretty good draft for center, but what is you opinion on the best centers or guards that could be centers in this draft from round 2 through round 4?
  18. hmm...usually it's the Saints who cheat
  19. can't see them trading #6 in the first. they do have 2 picks in the 2nd, #7 and #15
  20. last year of contract and coming off bad injury. Hopefully he can play this year while a rookie strengthens and learns behind him
