  1. McDaniels did look like a rookie though. Turnovers, out of place at times, but he's young and hasn't had much playing time. Glad to see him get time on the floor, it looked like he was having fun. Hope he keeps developing.
  2. Hornets win by double digits, and are 3-2 on this road trip. Leading scorer was Jalen McDaniels with 21! Our young guys showing we have more depth than we think.
  3. Joe Person @josephperson · 1m Panthers are signing free agent CB A.J. Bouye, league source confirms. @MikeKlis first.
  4. Hornets up big early, 16-6....keep it going.
  5. at the Thunder tonight, 8 pm, but they have a 9-16 record at home, so there is a chance. We'll need Terry to be Terry, but two other guys at least need to step up
  6. welcome OP, I appreciate you coming here to say that. I am optimistic about Sam, and think he has a very good chance. Apologies for the bad posts you'll read here, hope you'll enjoy the good ones.
  7. not many people with more insight in this situation than Robby.
  8. Natalie M. @Nat_NFLDraft · 2h Of all the QBs you have heard the Broncos be "in" on, Teddy Bridgewater is the only legitimate one. I imagine Teddy will either end up in Denver, New Orleans, or San Francisco.

  10. A team will trade for Teddy. We won't get much, but we will not be sending a pick with him. He has value, just not to us. A pre-June 1st trade leaves us with 15 mill in dead cap over the next 2 years with almost 34 million in cap space gained, and post-June 1st trade leaves us with 10 million dead cap and almost 39 million cap space saved. All figures over the next 2 years. Since most teams are cash strapped this year, and we are not, the bargaining chip is how much of the cap we eat in the trade. We can say we'll make it pre-June 1st, eat more cap space (which again, we have) and get a pick in a higher round. As Verge has said, Teddy will not be on the Panthers for competition next year.
  11. at least now we have hope at QB...it is possible the Jets ruined his career until now. Don't like the 2nd, but worth a flyer considering our situation. BPA and let's build.
  12. "It is unusual to have 3 players of their magnitude out at the same time, but it's the time of the year when teams are dealing with injuries. Don't feel sorry for yourself, this happens to everyone, try to find a way back." Asked about trade deadline and standing pat. "with Cody and Bismack being free agents, we don't know if they will be back, we looked at a trade but didn't find anything we thought was fair. We're going to make the best of the season, develop our players." how to you build with the 3rd youngest team in the NBA. Around Melo? "Rozier doesn't get as much credit as he deserves. He's having a great year. With Gordon and Melo we feel they are set. at the 4 position we like our young players, and we'll continue to focus and develop them. We didn't think Melo would be this good, so we're ahead of where we thought. " Rozier coming up for a new contract. "He's approaching a bigger deal. He's been a consummate professional." Hornets are 1 of about 6 teams with salary cap going into the next season...how does that affect you. "With Gordon coming into Charlotte we didn't expect that but we had cap room. It's unusual for a small market team to get a player like that, so it's important to have cap room. Maybe someone will say I want to come play with our young players." "If we lose Biz or Cody maybe we get another big. It's too early to say."
  13. Hornets actually led the 1st quarter, but Celtics now have their biggest lead in the 2nd quarter. Line was 9.
  14. Shams Charania @ShamsCharania · 8m Hornets‘ Gordon Hayward will miss at least four weeks with right foot sprain, team says. Charlotte Hornets PR @HornetsPR · 9m INJURY UPDATE: @hornets at BOS 4/4 Gordon Hayward (R Foot Sprain) out Malik Monk (R Ankle Sprain) out LaMelo Ball (R Wrist Fracture) out
  15. that win was important. Not only because it was on the road and we had a lot of our best players miss all or part the game...we won the rubber match, so if we end up tied in the playoffs, we get the higher seed.
  16. Gordon sprained his foot. Out for the game. This was not a good time for an injury.
  17. Bridges got hot in the second, and we get a 16-5 run to end the half up 11.
  18. Gordon hitting his first shots, but his and our passing is pretty ugly without Melo and Monk...showed last game as well. Early appearance for Wannamaker, who does lead a successful fast break. He did not look good last game (his first irrc) but was called off the bench early tonight.
  19. tough but winnable game tonight against the Pacers. Can't believe we'll come out as flat as we did last game. It's time for Gordon to start earning his money. Melo is the only Hornet on the injury report according to ESPN. Hope we're healthy.
  20. we can't hit anything, and when the night starts out like that, it never changes.
  21. Verge has also said Washington will be aggressive in moving up for a QB. I really hope one of the big 4 falls to us and if we take him and he flops, I'm ok with that. You have to take a chance on a franchise QB when you have it. After that, OT or Pitts, but I don't think Pitts is getting past the Falcons. They still have a franchise QB who could play 4 or 5 years, I think they try to win with him now. Ready for the dadgum draft to get here already.
