  1. Fanspeak lists big boards for the coming year within a couple of days after each years draft. Every year, about a month before the draft, although this year they were running late, they post a composite big board compiled by Arif Hasan, who puts over 40 boards together for a consensus. It gives you the best idea of what the media thinks about the draft. I have read several times that this year, teams and the media are further apart than normal, reasons are obvious. But here you go. We'll see beginning one week from tonight how close the media is in line with the professionals. Here's the top 300, the list goes on at the link. 2. why not? He was the one so in love with Little he was trying to trade back into the first...maybe he thinks he just isn't a fit with the team regime. 2022 4th?
  3. could we get a 5th for him after the draft to a tackle needy team?
  4. well if you consider we won 5 games, and Teddy kept us from winning at least 3 or 4 more, we could certainly have a winning record if Darnold plays up to his potential.
  5. as long as Pitts is not in our division, I'm happy. Especially if the Falcons spend their first rounder on a guy who sits for a year.
  6. fug Julius Randle. Hope someone busts him in the mouth. Melo was dribbling like he felt no problem at all on the sideline. He may be back sooner than we think.
  7. and looks like PJ is answering the call...comes off the bench in the first quarter, plays 9 minutes and goes 5 for 5 from 3. He ties his season high in 9 minutes, Hornets lead in the second quarter.
  8. Devonte is playing and hit a 3...but we're not hitting much else. Down 17-8 midway through first. We do have a chance, but we need Terry to get going, and either PJ or Myles to have a night.
  9. He identified biscuit, was stumped by grits and hushpuppies lol. Hopefully he'll get some Bojangles soon.
  10. the draft really falling to us this year...let's us focus on the OL, WR, and defensive backs, where we can find good value, hopefully.
  11. Rod Boone @rodboone · 10h Sources: LaMelo Ball could return within the next two weeks after the #Hornets received good news about their rookie point guard today:
  12. not a lot of news comes out in this round of activity, no on the field stuff, so no beat reporters dropping nuggets. But there is this....we got to work today. And you may not recognize that guy about 5 seconds in....he's new.
  13. thanks Nat, it is wonderful having someone with your insight, contacts and expertise posting on this board. We may be the only NFL board that has someone like you.
  14. Natalie Miller @Nat_NFLDraft · 1h Trey Lance will go #4 overall regardless of what team owns the pick. Falcons, Broncos, WFT, or Patriots.
  15. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter · 7m Alex Smith announced he is retiring on IG.
  16. just beat a playoff team with all the injuries noted above. Hornets shot like their lives depended on it...47% from the floor, 41% from 3. And another "how do you do" dunk.. That Nurkic is a freaking mountain. If we had a post player like that...
  17. Hornets lead by 18, amazing our well we start without so many of our starters and key reserves. We just run out of gas in the 4th. Give credit to our front office for finding depth, and our coaching for developing those young players. Another sign that the future is bright.
  18. Vernon earned the start after his big game...committed 2 fouls in 20 seconds and is on the bench. McDaniels has six midway through the first quarter though, and Hornets up by 12.

  20. No word that they won't so far. Most teams have announced their players have opted out as a team. "The Panthers are expected to begin Phase 1 of their offseason workout program on Monday, according to a memo sent from the league to all 32 teams. The offseason program is completely voluntary except for one mandatory minicamp, which will take place in June. Phase 1 of the offseason is mostly virtual, as outlined below. https://www.derp/2021/4/16/22387222/nfl-carolina-panthers-to-begin-offseason-workout-program-on-monday Joe Person @josephperson · 57m Panthers are among 12 teams that have not yet released a statement on their participation in voluntary, in-person portion of offseason workouts, which begin tomorrow.
  21. If Pitts and Sewell are gone, but Slater and Chase are there....that's a tough choice. I don't think Chase will be, but he has better than All Pro level talent...good chance of Hall of Fame. Tough call.
  22. Natalie Miller @Nat_NFLDraft · 44m If I had to rank who the Panthers pick at 8 (Assuming Pitts and Chase are gone) 1. Sewell (if he is there) 2. Slater 3. Waddle 4. Surtain 5. Horn
  23. Durant is back tonight for the Nets, who have the 2nd best record in conference. Hornets are so injured, they decided to let Vernon Carey start and get a chance for some playing time. He hits his first 4 shots for 9 points in the first half of the first quarter. Hornets up early by as much as 14. Won't last, but fun to watch right now.
