  1. I don't know what it's like where you are, but it's been cold, rainy and windy here. So yesterday I pulled out the crock pot and whupped up some pintos with ham hocks and corn bread, and that will be for the game today as well. There will be beer and scotch as well. what about you?
  2. nice...good bark...what was your rub?
  3. another late game tonight against Sacremento. ESPN's matchup predictor says Kings have a 60 per chance to win. We're due to get hot sometime soon though.
  4. that's enough meat to last till the playoffs!
  5. I didn't last long through that game. did record it to watch today but not going to. A road loss to a very good team....moving on. Hoping we find our shots next game.
  6. turns out one of their guys got raked across the face but is ok. Hornets seem focused on playing good D, offense isn't clicking yet
  7. that was a weird opening...Miles gets a 3 and they call timeout....announcer said someone may have lost a tooth?
  8. yeah, I'll never see the end. Should be entertaining, assuming Steph is playing. I don't follow the west coast teams, and I know they've been dealing with tons of injuries, but I've loved watching Steph. Hope he plays tonight.
  9. very good article, thanks for posting, OP. And that article probably contains more words than all others written about the Hornets combined since Jordan bought the team. The national media is finding out they'll have to pay attention to the Hornets, because the Hornets are sticking the ball right in their faces.
  10. just saw this, don't know if it was talked about last night. Cody's shoes for the game thanking the city of Charlotte for his time there.
  11. quick turnaround....the 3-4 Cavaliers are visiting tonight. Hopefully we'll be 6-2 in a few hours. If Terry feels good we can keep building our chemistry.
  12. Ian Rapoport @RapSheet ยท 22s #Saints QB Jameis Winston does, in fact, have a torn ACL, source said after the MRI. He is out for the season. There is also damage to the MCL.
  13. wow, to make the Falcons day even worse, Ridley just posted he's stepping away from football. He's missed today's game and last week for personal reasons.
  14. actually this could be a "get right" game for our offense. Excited to see Gilmore.
  15. need some gastronomical encouragement to help get excited about the game today...getting Mexican, which makes everything more festive. chorizo queso and a couple of chimichangas.. there will be beer and scotch. What will you be dining on for the Falcons game? Pics encourgaged!
  16. we are not a good match up for Miami, but our poor shooting and rebounding is making it look worse. Someone has to start making some 3s. Gordon is getting paid to do that.
  17. if we are hitting our shots tonight, we should win. Last game we started cold but got back of 50% from the floor and thanks to Gordon, Miles and Jalen over 46% from 3 by the end. Even Cody went 2 for 2 from 3. Hard to beat a team with those numbers even if we looked sloppy. Oubre was 0-5 from 3..hopefully he'll bounce back.
  18. "When he was in negotiations for his extensions a couple of weeks ago, I'm told the Hornets' baseline offer was four years, $60 million," said Brian Windhorst. "Which is $15 million per year. If you look at what Mikal Bridges, which we've compared him to during his career, got... which some people in the league feel is an overpay." Mikal Bridges signed a four-year, $90 million extension with the Phoenix Suns. Based on how Miles Bridges has played to start the season, he will be in line for a contract closer to what Mikal Bridges signed as opposed to Charlotte's extension offer. https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/264574/Hornets-Offered-Four-Year-$60M-Extension-To-Miles-Bridges
  19. the best part is the guys are having fun and playing together. Gives me hope we can sustain the core and Melo stays in Charlotte.
  20. Miles is playing like a future All Star...love to see his development. He's also fun to watch. Pairs up so well with LaMelo. If we have to move a piece to afford him, I'm all for it. We sure are paying Gordon a lot for what he's produced.
