so what's the story with him? before the season, he was a hot name, but seems like I remember him not doing well early and was falling down draft boards, but he got better through the season?

amazing string of injuries to start the season...not sure I've seen it this bad for the Hornets. builds depth though.

I know Denver is bad this year, but what a job Wilks has done with our defense. He may not get a job as HC next year but he'll at least have multiple offers for DC

We are paying Moton, Icky and Brady are on rookie contracts, Corbett is back for 2 more years....pay Boze for a few more years and we have a dadgum good Oline locked up for the next few years. Boze locked up means that is one less position we need to hit high on in the next couple of drafts. It's an almost perfect situtation unless he gets offered huge money, and he might.

agree with all except Miles...let the ship sail. First pick is going to be a 7'2'' guy who is getting all the hype...will be 19, but pairing him with Melo could change the franchise, especially with our youngs getting some pt this year. But unless we pick first, we won't get him.

McShay says he is 5'10'' and recently weighed 186. But at the combine, it is possible he is 5'9''...won't be an easy choice, but if he's there and our new staff says take him, I won't say a word...everyone knows his size is a concern, and everyone knows you ain't winning till you get a QB.

for those who like Grayson, the game tonight is on ESPN at 7:30. App lost 2 safeties and a CB from last year....and App has trouble with mobile QBs. Should be an interesting watch.

In related news (since we don't have a NFL news thread that I can find, Mike Thomas was placed on IR today and isn't not expected to play this year. Looks like the team told him twice to have surgery, and again he didn't....but now he will. "Thomas will have missed 40 over the past three. although I didn't want to be dragged through our last few years, Fowler gives a great article about a maelstrom of misery for Panthers fans. The good news is, it's over. But once again, we have to find a quarterback. We all know it ain't easy....if we end up with the first pick of QBs next year and he busts, I'm ok with it...back to the drawing board until we hit on one. Wish we could get this kind of insight from our beat reporter for ESPN.

He knows Keep Pounding. I wanted us to draft this guy when he came out, his college tape is ridiculous . Looks like he got in a couple of bad situations, but last year and this year he has proven who he is ...he walked off saying keep pounding, because he knows what it means. D is on a one year contract. Maybe he gets an offer to be lead back for a good paycheck, and I hope he gets that. But if he wants to stay here, I hope we sign him...anyone who believes Keep Pounding is a guy I want on my team.

Raiders just got a TD, Chiefs driving up by 5. However, since the Raiders have Carr under contract for years ahead, it's almost certain they won't be taking a QB this year. But every game the 49ers lost gets us a higher pick in rounds 2 through 4.
