This. Chuba used to drop everything thrown his way. He was able to work things out. XL will too. He’s a rookie with only one full season starting in college football under his belt. He will get it together. Sucks but at least we know we have a good QB, we just need to surround him with talent.

XL is really getting on my last nerve

AT IS THE MOST CLUTCH PANTHERS WR EVER!! /S BUT FR
-
We are terrible at tackling consistently.
-
Like who cares if he is the most accurate in NFL history on shorter field goals. We need someone who can kick past 50 consistently and doesn’t shank XPs because he kicks at an angle every attempt.
-
Eddy P has to be replaced next year.
-
Bryce doesn’t look as slow as he did last year lol

The best part of how this team is playing is how much potential they are exuding no matter who is out there. Our roster is not good at all, as a whole, but man are the schemes helping the team look competent overall. That’s great coaching in a nutshell.

If we can double up before the half I may have a boner the rest of the game.
-
Fangio should’ve seen this coming lol. His reaction was priceless

Glad to see Bryce allowing his confidence to lead his decision making. Also glad we got Canales, he honestly is the offensive guru we have been needing. Now we just need to stack the WR and TE room. Praying Brooks can come back healthy once we are a playoff contender, until then let him get his body right.
-
Brooks wasn’t saving the season either way. He will be fine and come back next year and hopefully help us get closer to being a playoff team. Stop crying prematurely people.
-
That drive was very disheartening. They let BY down on very good opportunities.
-
Would love to get him but depends on who’s there and the vision. Do we continue to bolster the offense or balance out the defense. Things will hopefully start to solidify soon and we know if Evero is part of the future or not so we can get a better idea of what’s the next phase of team development.

Not a single FA WR peaks my interest, but I feel we will get a solid WR3/4 for a solid contract. We always do for competition and to have a vet on the team. The draft is where we should be focusing and with AT here another year there should be no rush to replace. XL, Coker, AT, rookie WR, David Moore (or his replacement). Will be fine. Canales likes to run and we will emphasize on that more next year, add another TE in the draft and RB late. Outside of TMac, I dont think the FO has a huge conviction on anyone else and is letting it all play out. The picture will get clearer closer to the senior bowl imo. With the amount of picks we have expect at minimum 2 trades in draft and a good run on depth at positions, WR, and primarily offensive focus again if we retain Evero, if he goes probably more balanced but D leaning.

Who you releasing / restructuring / not resigning

Release: Sanders Restructure: Hunt Lewis Moton Unless I’m mistaken Ian Thomas is a UFA next year and should not be back. -
These are a few guys of interest I have been researching on the offensive side of the ball. Draft positions are subjective for now. The intangibles of these prospects along with what we need, have given me a reference point to further expand on as the draft approaches. I hope we are heavily involved in senior day, as this year’s class honestly feels light at the top compared to the talents of previous drafts. Current allotted picks 1st round pick 2nd round pick (via LA Rams) 3rd round pick 4th round pick 4th round pick (via Cowboys) 5th round pick 5th round pick (via NY Giants) 5th round pick (via Ravens) 7th round pick 7th round pick (via 49ers) QB Jaxson Dart (3rd-5th) Jason Daniels (5th-7th) Dart seems to have similar capabilities to the offense we run and what has been asked of Bryce. He is not comparable exactly in player type, but I feel we need someone who can run the same offense without having to be a carbon copy of the starter. Daniels also has similar capabilities to Bryce, but mostly surround his ability to create when chaos ensues. He has enough speed and athleticism to allude defenders when the pocket breaks down to escape and create on the run. I feel both collectively have enough similar traits to BY that either could come in as a 3rd string QB and be a solid contributor on the PS or in practices with opportunity to grow. We still need a Vet as a back up but I’m not fully sold on Dalton continuing in that spot. RB Ollie Gordon ll (4th-5th) Donovan Edwards (5th-7th) Both backs listed above have seen a dip in their draft stock by staying another year at their respective schools. This is a detractor for them but possible a diamond in the rough opportunity for a team looking to bolster the running back room. We have Chuba under contract for a while and Brooks drooling to take over primary duties. Here’s the kicker, injuries happen and having a relentless rushing attack wears down defenses. If you want Bryce to become everything his talent says he can be you need to have as many young rushers on the team for as cheap and long as possible. Both of their profiles remind me so much of Chuba and Ollie specifically has had a season similar to Chuba’s in college. Outside of a few games last year Donovan Edward’s has not been a consistent starter but he is a strong runner with bell cow intangibles. None have a crazy amount of mileage on their legs but they aren’t too new to carrying a workload to not be able to get a good idea of their value. At the projected draft position of today it would be crazy to not take a shot on the once sky high value. WR Tetairoa McMillan (top 5 pick) Luther Burden lll (1st) Isaiah Bond (1st-2nd) Tai Felton (2nd-4th) Kyren Lacy (4rd-5th) Julian Fleming (5th - UDFA) Tet is the guy in this year’s draft. He is the WR1 everyone is yearning for. I get that Travis Hunter possesses the most value, but the value is spread over two positions and skews things too much to wholeheartedly say he is the #1 WR. I am hoping Tet falls into our laps, but we may not draft high enough to get him, and the options after don’t jump off the page initially, but there is plenty of value later even if they are not a true WR1 yet. Luther Burden would be a solid compensation, and I am not opposed to him, but I feel he isn’t worth a top 10 pick. Bond has the speed we need to open things up for XL and Coker but would be predominantly a slot WR because of size. Tai Felton as a mid-round pick interests me the most because of his YAC ability and how well he’s able to get off the line. One of his comps is Romeo Doubs, and he’s starting to become a hell of a WR. Lacy is another later-round gem and I feel fits what we need, YAC. Our Qb isn’t going to be a deep ball threat consistently, and we need to start putting pressure on defense with more YAC opportunities. Lacy is the best blend of size, speed, and catching ability in this range. I like him a lot around the 4th. Lastly is someone that many have forgotten about: Julian Fleming, the former OSU top recruit. He was a consensus 5-star top recruit ( ESPN 1 , 247Sports 3), and if not for injuries and other major talent coming to OSU, may have been one of the next great WRs to be coming into the league. He only has 6 drops in 125 career targets, is a physical blocker, and ran a 4.35 at his pro day. I normally would call him a bust after this sort of college career, but at his current draft range (5th round or later), who’s going to say no to taking a flyer on a former top prospect who has been held back by no fault of his own? TE Gunnar Helm (4th-6th) Mason Taylor (6th-UDFA) Helm has exceptional hands paired with great route-running skills, especially for deep routes. He has been labeled a “film junkie,” which helps him find openings in zone coverage. He has a very strong work ethic, and his versatility would be amazing to scheme into an NFL offense. Mason Taylor, son of Jason Taylor and nephew of Zach Thomas, has NFL-ready attributes oozing through his blood. His football IQ is unmatched for this TE draft class. While he is not a burner or a TE1, his floor is the perfect complement to Sanders, who I feel is a star in the making. Taylor would fit our scheme perfectly since a lot of plays drawn up are timing-based and take advantage of Bryce’s ability to throw with anticipation. OL Jake Majors (Center)(2nd-3rd) Clay Webb (2nd-4th) Jack Nelson (4th - 5th) Parker Brailsford (Center) (4th-5th) Donovan Jackson (5th-6th) Riley Mahlman (5th - UDFA) I do not see us picking an OL in the first 2 rounds and possibly not even the 3rd. It all depends on how they evaluate the C position and our depth. I feel confident with who we have now but there’s always opportunity to improve. If we decide we cannot move forward with any of Corbett/Christensen/Mays next year starting at C I feel we could make an early splash and Jake Majors is the name I am seeing as worthy of top C taken this coming draft. While he does have some work to do developing his run blocking, he is more than capable with pass blocking, which is something I feel we still need to improve, especially in longer late-down situations. The remainder of the guys listed would be great for rotational depth and to another option for competition at C. My favorite of the group has to be Donovan Jackson. I feel he’s got great intangibles and could take over one day at G, if we took him in the draft.

Current Draft Position & Potential Prospects
TJAmor21 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
The first pick should be BPA, and tbh drafting 5-8 there are plenty of options. I feel a WR would be best, but will “the guy” be there? We neglected the defense somewhat, and I feel the lack of depth showed. I see a plethora of options available later that would be worth a trade down, and if they are enamored with the prospect, I feel only maybe 5 would be a top choice in our expected draft range. I’d love any of Mason Graham, Will Johnson, or Abdul Carter, if and only if they fit the system and need. If they see value trading down and TMac isn’t there, a later round pick of Isaiah Bond and another 2nd round pick would be ideal.
