  1. The great thing is what we say on this board matters not, we can have it both ways but Russ cannot without looking bad. We can objectively "hate" on the guy AND hope his new contract cripples his team. This looks to be extremely likely if not a certainty if he remains a Seahawk. They will not trade Sherman, Thomas, or Chancellor, but as I posted earlier in this thread they WILL be crippled by the loss of other key members of the team. As I recently posted, their influx of young talent from the 2013-2015 drafts is piss poor at best which means it's truly a house of cards soon to come down in some way, shape, or form in the near future.
  2. After two losing seasons and a 1-3 start in year 3, I said after the Cardinals game I wouldn't trade him for anyone in the history of football. Overcoming long odds and obstacles, two division titles and a nice contract extension later, I've never felt more confident in my steadfast belief backed by facts, stats, the eyeball test, logic, etc. Let the good times roll. only wrong if you don't want these things.
  3. He's right. RW may have had a great start to his career but he was horrid in that game among others.
  4. I say laugh away. We got our man until 2020, and our cornerstone guys in Luke and Cam have "football" agents. So did Russ, until he went rogue all by his lonesome. The league lead by owners like JR aren't going to allow it to become baseball. No worries mate.
  5. Some of those fools recently brushed off signing RW to big money as being OK because they'd "only lose Hauschka, Kearse, Irvin, Okung, et al types of players as a result". Bwahaha!!! Those are EXACTLY the players/types of players that've been the difference vs us. Hauschka with a 58 yard bomb after we'd controlled the game, Kearse with a game winner in 13 and great/lucky/fluke one hander in the playoffs (the only TD Bene gave up all year), Irvin with multiple sacks and a unique skillset to pester Cam, etc. and what if we have Okung instead of Bell last year? We probably win even last year with one arm behind our back, nevermind the goody-goodness GMan has cooked up since. Their FO is screwed either way. And I love it.

  7. No shout out to rain, depression, suicide, et. al?
  8. Patience my crop dusting amigo. While we have one player from the 2010-11 drafts still on the team (the greatest 26 year old in the history of team sports, Heisman, national champ, greatest first four years ever, looks like he just walked out of Central Casting, etc.), those guys drafted like maniacs. To their credit, Okung, Thomas, Chancellor, Tate, Wright, Sherman, Maxwell, Smith, et al, most of whom are still on the team. The good news? Their last three drafts have stunk worse than your farts, no first rounder/5th year option, and whose top pick was a speed WR in Richardson who was worse than Corey Brown at WR by a long shot. Think about it-their BEST rookie for three years running is WORSE than our UDFA. Unfortunately, their FO likely knows RW isn't worth what he wants. Unfortunately for them, they're screwed either way after giving big deals to guys who were making peanuts and then getting a Hurneyesque lot of nothing for young talent for three straight years. That don't fly in this league. GMan already laid the foundation with his own drafts and getting Cam and Luke due to Marty's stupidity. Signing Cam when we did for what we did was also a huge kick in the gut for those guys. The afterburners are coming.
  9. PS-Cam is also younger than Russ and already dated Ciara. Sloppy seconds.
  10. Averaged more yards and TDs than your QB with less supporting talent on both offense and defense (and special teams) for starters. Taken the worst team of the decade (the 2010 Panthers who intentionally tanked), to back-to-back division titles, with a broken back no less. And a busted ankle, ribs, UDFA LT from Montreal who never played American football in the states before, no drafted OTs, a rookie #1WR, a guy named Brenton Bersin as the #1 read in a playoff game, etc. Put up or shut up, pay Russ what he wants!!!! Our guy is clean cut and does all those things too. Members of the Auburn and Carolina communities know it, we see the double standard, and even the haters can't ignore this http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12990868/cam-newton-trails-only-peyton-manning-terms-marketing-appeal-nfl DeAngelo Williams, Matt Schaub, and Kellen Clemons deserve credit for 2013 as well. Brandon Bostick for 2014. Pay Russ!!!!!!!
  11. Fantastic! Then pllllease send the Hawk FO a message and tell them to give the man what he wants. Pretty please.
  12. Jimmy's new teammates called him soft. Look it up. Drew was also distraught according to reports. The Saints lost the only player worth fearing and the Hawks have still yet to sign their young QB and LB whose contracts expire after this year. Panthers win.
  13. Of course they did. And they know it. But their own foolishness got them into cap hell with no other way out. Funny thing is the Hawks took on the contract and have a wee bit of predicament themselves with Wilson/Wagner still unsigned and a team of egomaniacs that already called Jimmy soft. Wait until he can't block for RW or Marshawn. At least he had a rapport with Drew. Lose/lose for both teams.
  14. Unger, when he was actually healthy coming off an All-Pro year, was beaten like a red-headed step child by a rookie in his first game named Starlite Lotulelei Jr. Supposedly the CB group was in such dire straights yet they spent a 2nd round pick on SJB in 2014, making Eric Shelton look like decent 2nd round value. Sounds like a FO without the first clue to me. Anthony was the #31 pick in the draft (who most thought was a reach). Jimmy Graham was #31 in the top 100. Bwahaha. Fair trade and great "value" alright. Hitting a woman on video with a belt kinda takes the "if" out of Junior's fate. If the Roman Empire crumbled, then surely a team with an aging QB, a losing home record, a clueless FO, a team that showed zero heart in 2014, can return to the division cellar where they've spent most of their existence.
  15. That fact alone doesn't bother me a bit. A de facto redshirt year or two while Oher mans the fort could be ideal. As I constantly said during draft season, 19 of the 32, including both Super Bowl teams, have a first rounder at LT. To be able to get a good one (is he? will he be? I don't know), for later round value would be HUGE!
  16. Of course he's worth a pick, he was a projected top 5/first round LT in 2016. But what pick should we be willing to give up? I honestly don't know. Unfortunately other teams desperation, us being 25th in the pecking order, and his possible red flags make it a long shot. Appears to be well known the Falcons are interested, which is almost as stupid as us knowing they wanted Funchess. But I doubt we give up a high enough pick. Can't wait to find out.
  17. A belt buckle could and in most cases should be considered Assault with a Deadly weapon. No statute of limitations for ADW should=bars and pound me in the @$$ prison for jr.
  18. Because!!! That's why!!! Just because!!! Because, because, BECAUSE!!!
  19. OROY? Post draft he was 22/1 to win it. That's truly insane value.
  20. With the rumblings of discontent and impending doom there, it may not even be a big deal. I do agree we win there, but in all seriousness there are 6 division games and 5 other additional conference games just as important.
  21. Exactly. Our 2010 "team" lost 9 of 10 whose only win was against John Skelton. That was truly a putrid football team that Cam came into, not to mention the rest of his 2011 draft mates were putrid as well. Kudos to them, they laid a foundation from 2010-2012 and won a ring. It's a miracle we were a bad throw and fumble away from beating them in 2012-2013, although the 2013 game we beat their @$$ everywhere but the scoreboard where it matters. 2014 we obviously had one arm behind our back at best. I look forward to the future. Very much.
  22. Impossible to satisfy all those big personalities. Irvin and Bennett are already yapping. Wilson tweeting. Wagner seems less than pleased too if reports are correct. The most miserable ending in Super Bowl history combined with all of the above, losing a strong character leader on the middle of your OL, picking up a guy whose teammates have already called soft, and drafting a felon with your top pick that would have been a late round flyer at best, and that's a pretty miserable offseason so far. With 3 straight subpar drafts I hope you enjoy your 2013 season DVD, a magic carpet ride indeed that can never be taken from you, but IMHO as good as it will ever get for you.
  23. Some do, IMO many either don't care, love their own team so much they have blinders, or hate Cam so much they have blinders, that this fact is conveniently ignored. Us against the world brother.
  24. Haterade juice abounds. Amazing we were 2-14 under this regime in one score games at one point with such a small % the fault of Cam. Unfortunately for them these close losses that clueless haters now make twitter jabs at Cam's overall record at ultimately netted us Luke and Star. Keep laughing d*ckheads.
