If season ended today which QB would you take.
gakonline replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would take Young as of right now but Stroud can improve his stock this weekend against Michigan. Not sure if Stroud has played against enough competition to take him over Young at this point. -
Not exactly sold on Stroud but you have to take him if he is there. I think Young is the best QB in the class that will be coming out. He has NFL caliber decision making and knows how to read a defense. I am not concerned about Young’s height. He plays behind an NFL size offensive line & against NFL talent in the SEC. His weight is a concern & could be broke in half on a blind side hit.

I would take that. Still draft a QB in round 2/3. Let Corral & new rookie develop. Carr would be the best QB in the division.

Official hey the Panthers are wearing black helmets GameDay Thread!

Pj locked onto DJ on the close pick. Easy pitch & catch to Sullivan. Not sure if PJ can read the defense. -
Rams Offering Two (Future) Firsts for Burns

Make the trade. I would like to see what Barno can do on passing downs. -

Panthers win Sunday…1st place in the South

Bam! -
I want to see the Panthers turn this around. Don’t care for the losers that think tanking is great. Need to find out what kind of team this is without Rhule. If there is a QB in the draft next year that is a can’t miss then trade up for him. That is what KC did with Mahomes. Personally I don’t think there is a can’t miss QB. All could be Ryan Leaf.

Albert Breer talks Panthers, Burns, and details McCaffrey trade...

Not sure the 49ers will make the playoffs. The chiefs beat them up & down the field on both sides of the ball. -
Nothing wrong with having the number one pick as it does give you tons of options leading up & into the draft. Just don’t want to have to tank to get there. I want to see this team continue to fight & improve the rest of the season. If we end up with the number 1, I would like to trade out of the first hoping to fleece another team. There is a lot of pressure getting the first overall pick exactly right. He has to be that guy no questions asked.
-
Rhule claimed it was all about competition but only 1st or second string really competed for the starting job. The bottom tier players never got a chance & reps held to a minimum. No way young guys or a diamond in the rough would be developed under Rhule. Granted TMJ was hurt early on but he never got chance once he got healthy.

Y’all need to quit crying because the Panthers won today. No one in next years draft is a guaranteed HOFer. There are plenty of Ryan Leaf’s & Jamarcus Russel’s drafted every year.
-
Team Win!!! Bucs were confused because we actually used multiple players on offense. Defense was already good but really fed of the offense today. Keep it up & keep Walker in there next week. Walker needs to stay as QB. He has looked much better than anyone else this year.
-
Burns is on schedule to have 8.5 sacks & 35 combined tackles on the season. Stupid to turn down two first round draft picks.

Person: Rhule ran the team at times "like his personal kingdom"
gakonline replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wonder how much control Rhule had over offensive game planning. Surely McAdoo is not that bad. -
Run the ball & play action. A QBs best friend.
-
I am still hoping for Henderson but he played like poo today in coverage. He was burned bad by Errtz on the TD.
-
He plays like he is 5” 4’

This is the worst panthers team in our history
gakonline replied to philw5289's topic in Carolina Panthers
The defense is an actually good. Offense bad. What is sad is we actually should have a great offense with a competent coach & coordinator. -
Sorry to disagree but Baker seems to be turning a corner. Every ball is not going to be on point. Tight ends need to catch & playing calling could be a little better. He seems to be more calm today & throws have have been on point (minus a couple). Let us see how the second half goes. Defense is balling!
-
He could perform just as good. Corral had zero reps.

Pressure generates turnovers & Snow is not blitzing enough to get pressure. Snow is also dropping Burns into coverage & only rushing three so there is that. On paper we are have the best defense we had in three years but have regressed quite a bit. It has to do more with play calling. We have the players on D.
