Bryce Young 5th year option exercised

I dunno if the team that gave kyler 5 years and $230 million is the team to emulate -
Bryce Young 5th year option exercised
PadresPanthersFan replied to T-Wazzle's topic in Carolina Panthers
There are at least 14 qbs that make over $40 mill this year including such hof like Daniel Jones, DeShaun Watson and Brock Purdy. Bad qb decisions crippled the fins and cards. The Seahawks just won it all with a qb we discarded in Sam darnold. Qb is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. This decision was inevitable and gives the panthers 2 more years to (Hopefully) not make the same mistake others have concerning the qb position -
Round 4: The Carolina Panthers select CB Will Lee (Texas A&M)
PadresPanthersFan replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
My 2 cents if he pans out I think this might solve 3 issues. I believe they were thinking of moving csw to fs ( I still want to see ransom with more pt.) So lee can possibly take nickel and if he pans out he can move up to m Jackson's spot when he's gone next year ( but we'd need another nickel back) A lot of ifs and hope but I think that's the reasoning for this pick Better than a #3 rb like last year -
I dont know if the panthers see fs as big of a need as some do. Moehrig has 1 spot locked down. We resigned nick " the beast " Scott. I want to see more of Ransom. I think there was some chatter of trying csw at safety too. Imo the panthers would be better served getting a cb or 2 since horn is injury prone and jackson is probably gone after this year

I think rookie ot are becoming more like what rookie qb should be. Where they sit and learn for a bit before they're thrown to the wolves. I've seen a decent amount of rookie ot get crushed ( like #4 pick campbell last year) and sometimes they never recover ( like Robert gallery). I don't think too many expect moton to make it through the year unscathed so imo it's wise to sit him for a bit ( unless he blows everyone out of the water) and have him ready when he's needed and then next year we have 1 ot spot sewn up
-
Maybe not the pick some wanted but the pick we needed. As many mentioned here our ot situation is a mess this year and a disaster next year. Icky is out this year and may never return to form. Moton is getting old and the mileage is starting to tax him. And the gb ot is a 1 year rental. We needed a high upside ot and those are hard to get after the first round. I'm also glad it wasn't a wr or Sadiq so that's another check in the win column for me.

Panthers are at an extremely pivotal point
PadresPanthersFan replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It should be Bryce Young is at a pivotal point. I think the panthers are finally building something sustainable that eventually would need just a solid qb I mean the Seahawks just won it all with Sam darnold who we got rid of -

PadresPanthersFan replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Didn't know where to post this but it is panthers relevant since eventually we'll have a couple wr in Coker and tmac that will get paid. Jaxon Smith-njigba just signed a 4 year $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest paid wr in nfl history. For now -
Hes still.better than 1/3 of the starting qbs

The picks are another matter entirely. Esp that draft which so far has been a doozy. But the trades themselves were ok to great 32 and 200 for 33 and 141. The idea and the trade were sound. The pick so far terrible 39 for 51. 155 and 2025 2nd round pick was absolute theft 52, 142 and 155 for 46 was a bit of an overpay imo and the pick was so far terrible to. But as far as just trades 1 great trade, I meh trade and 1 a little bad trade. But he also basically traded the 7th round pick for Mike Jackson which was another absolute steal. If he can turn Dalton 7th round pick into something similar.....

Waddle had 1 really good year 4 years ago and has been a solid #2 ever since. Without tyreek last year he couldn't break 1000 Willis contract is basically only a 2 year prove it deal like jones. Theyre not sold on him either. He's basically a high paid tank commander to make it look like they're trying

I'm actually in the other camp. I think the dolphins just stole a 1st and a 3rd for an oft injured #2 wr. This is a full tear down rebuild. They aren't going anywhere this year. Malik wilis isn't a franchise qb. They should now have tons of draft capital to start the rebuild. Not reload
