  1. I say pass. Keep building through the draft. Sign your own studs. Throw some fa money to fill major holes but don't break the bank
  2. I posted this in another thread but it's relevant here Stroud is not a bad guy. He had a great rookie season but he hasn't been the same since. And the last 2 weeks he has completely imploded and just looks beaten. The defense has carried that team. Young had one of the worst rookie seasons in one of the worst environments in recent memory. Last year we also had a record breaking bad def. He has improved and in his lone playoff game he had one of the best games of the season. Year 1 it was stroud no doubt over young Year 2 it was still stroud miles ahead but young was getting better after the benching Year 3 it might be a tie- after the playoffs Bryce might be in the lead. I am not rooting against stroud, in fact I've been rooting for him. I want both to succeed. But stroud is seeing ghosts and as of right now if I had to choose between all the qbs chosen in that draft.... Bryce would be my #1 ( but definitely not by a landslide- he still has tons to prove and 2 years to do it)
  3. Those 2 will be inextricably tied together for their careers because of the draft. And I did say Bryce is better than every other qb in the 2023 draft. And he's imo better than every qb in the 2022 draft sans Purdy ( who was terrible last night)

  5. Well we did better vs the Seahawks than the 49ers did
  6. Having watched all the games I dont care about qbr but using the eye test stroud, herbert and rodgers all completely pooed the bed. Rodgers and herbert were the main reasons they lost. Stroud should have cost his team the win. Bryce played really well and he was not the reason we lost. What he needs is consistency. His highs are impressive. But his lows are abysmal. Hes shown what he can do. But now he needs to do it way more often
  7. Thanks for the 1600 yards and draft picks
  8. Thats still not good. Look what he did this year
  9. I know I'm going to get pooed for this but since the beginning given the physical limitations and what everyone hoped Bryce would be- he was supposed to be the next brees. Now Bryce had a terrible situation his first year but stats still count. In his first 3 years with luminaries such as thielen ( who pulled a houdini this year) chark, and Leggette as his top wr his first 2 years Bryce has had 8291 yards 49 tds 30 ints 61.4 completion % In his first 3 years brees ( i omit his actual first year bc he only threw 27 passes) had 8551 yards 55 tds 38 ints 61.3 completion % Brees wasn't the brees his first 4 years. Young has shown to be a couple things in his tenure. He's more durable than expected. He isn't a gigantic douche and is easy to root for. He is clutch ( yes we lost but he got us the lead with 2 and change to go and he isnt the reason we lost). He has handled a ton of adversity. And he's wildly inconsistent. Give him his 5th year. Let him grow for 2 years with tmac and Coker. Draft some mid rounder to push him but im still cautiously hopeful he can grow into a legit starter with some better playcalling and growth
  10. Coker had 31 more yards, the same amount of tds and 2 less receptions on 21 less targets than x this season and just had a career game in the playoffs. No duh he's our #2. X will be lucky to be our #4
  11. I will go on the record, I do not want the chargers oc here
  12. The worst thing about losing yesterday was losing
  13. Good for him. He earned his bag just not with us. We should be just fine with Hubbard, Etienne and hopefully brooks. Maybe sign another low cost 1 year prove it deal for another rb if brooks doesn't look ready
  14. The jags bc why not? I dont really care about the nfc anymore except maybe Seattle bc darnold has earned it for what us and the jets put him through
  15. 2 years in it looks pretty bad especially at the top. X has been a bust. So has brooks. Wallace seems average at best. Sanders flashed, peaked then disappeared. Csw is an ok role player. But flipping barret for Jackson was a coup and getting Coker was a steal. So we got 2 starters, an avg lb, and 2 role players in sanders and csw. Not the worst panthers draft but def not the best.
  16. The 2025 season is sadly over so its time to look back and to look forward The good: t Mac is a legit alpha. I was on the fence about drafting another wr in the 1st but he was by far the right call. Coker had a monster playoff game and is growing into a legit #2. An absolute steal as an udfa Dowdle was great as a cheap back up and even tho he flamed out at the end he more than carried the torch when Hubbard got injured. The def took a step forward overall after a record breaking terrible 2024. Scrouton is solid and should continue to improve. Princely flashed in his limited time and has a bright future. Jackson altho he had some bad games was still an absolute steal and is a strong #2 cb esp at his price Having brown back helped tremendously and I'm glad they extended him As far as the rookies evans, ransom, horn and Tremayne had their moments and will hopefully get better with a full offseason The bad: Bryce is still to inconsistent. He had great moments but just as many bad ones ( 54 yards anyone?) The o line regressed this year. The talent is there but they just seemed overwhelmed at times Jc was solid buy imo was not the elite cb we paid for. Too many missed tackles and bad plays. He was healthy but needs to be shutdown The lb core was mostly solid but unspectacular and needs an upgrade The ugly: Canales needs to give up oc duties and needs to get someone else to do it. The offense was disjointed almost all year and zigged when he should've zagged and ran headfirst into a stone wall when he should've zigged. Evero was a little better but not by much. No adjustments so when what he was doing didn't work we got shredded. We need to go back to a 4-3 bc without elite talent everos d is average at best Overall an overall step forward but there is still plenty of room to improve and the division next should be just as wide open
