  1. Not sure if exact quote but Bill Rosinki’s “Yes Carolina, there is a super bowl, and you are going to it” when they won the NFC Championship against the eagles. Going from Rosinski to Mixon was like the reverse of going from Jimmy Clausen to Cam Newton.
  2. Well it’s true until proven otherwise, and even once we don’t suck it’ll still be an uphill battle for respect.
  3. If he goes to the Saints just end me k thanks
  4. Interesting insight from Gantt. Reminds me of Voth’s comments from the Kyle Bailey show where he basically said, sure Darnold has all these weapons but if the offensive line falls apart there could be a repeat of what went down in his time with the NYJ.
  5. Good stuff. Went back and watched his 2011 draft recap, he was right about Cam! The rest of that draft, whew hurneymagic baby.
  6. Wait, he didn’t resign, he RE-SIGNED! that or the espn reporter covering our team isn’t qualified to report on intramural softball Anyway, I wish Luke the best. One of the greatest of all time.
  7. Dude is violent when he blocks dudes. Almost looks like a DE destroying a QB the way he takes on defenders.
  8. via the athletic: “That’s who the Panthers are getting with the 59th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, a supremely talented physical freak who went from five-star prospect to injured freshman to record-breaking star somehow overlooked within one of the best offenses in recent memory. Marshall was so good in 2019 that he caught 13 touchdowns despite missing three games, and he was still maybe the fifth player mentioned from that offense. Quarterback Joe Burrow won the Heisman Trophy. Fellow receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson were All-Americans. Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire became a first-round pick. Yet Marshall was the high-character superstar staffers couldn’t stop raving about, and he’s arguably the most physically gifted of that legendary 2019 receiving corps. He’s a speedy deep-ball threat who ran a 4.38-second 40-yard dash. He’s fantastic in the red zone as a fade threat to leap over defensive backs.” - “Marshall used to go around the LSU locker room and pick up teammates’ dirty laundry so it wasn’t all left to the equipment staffers. He gathered balls after workouts. He picked up trash. He helped walk-ons and treated them like equals. He was one of the more beloved people in the LSU football building, because he was one of the highest-character individuals.” Coach speak “We can put Terrace anywhere. He knows the offense…He is smart. He gets it. He knows football. Not like you need to leave him at one position, master that. He knows the whole offense. He probably could play quarterback.” — LSU head coach Ed Orgeron
  9. 31st in the league in giving up third downs. Not gonna win many football games that way.
  10. Everyone bitching in this thread clearly didn’t read anything about this draft. It was pretty obvious this was the guy if it wasn’t going to be fields. LFG this defense is about to be sick
  11. No offense to Fowler but it’s wild someone can get paid for an article like that. He just rattled off the numbers and basically said “Teddy wasn’t awful, Darnold is unproven, the Panthers really want a quarterback, Teddy is a great guy”. On a related side note, the athletic has excellent sports coverage. Look out for their $1 per month deal.
  12. For what it’s worth, in Rhule’s most recent press conference he stated picking up Darnold allows for them to stay with the “best player available” strategy, but he followed that by saying of course that BPA must also fill a need. So if it’s between the best WR, the best LT or the best CB, you gotta think we’re not going WR.
  13. Hell yeah if a top QB falls you take him 100% of the time, if anything just for the future draft capital value you could get down the road.
  14. I’m pumped about the trade, at least we have something besides Teddy now. It’s crazy how one game, or one “meaningless” win can drastically alter the course of a franchise....as in the win against the WFT. We throw that game, we’re set with Wilson or Fields probably. Now we are trading three draft picks for Sam Darnold. Not saying we should have thrown the game, but damn how things could be different.
  15. And Teddy has hit his absolute ceiling. The gamble is can Darnold, six months younger than Joe Burrow, lead a team surrounded by the best supporting cast he’s ever had by far.
  16. I got some stuff going on the next few days but I’ll try to remember to send the details soon. Hit me up if I forgot lol
  17. WFT is too PC. I need them to be named after a fluffy animal or a mythological being or else I want ever watch again.
