Hopefully when it comes to Antonio Brown the NFL adopts MLB’s way of not letting garbage human beings like Curt Schilling into the HOF.

I’m pretty sure Mr. Unlimited* has done this same song and dance every offseason with the Seahawks. Not sure what his endgame is but his camp clearly thinks circulating these rumors every offseason is good for him.

Teddy seems like a nice dude, but jfc the team was 3-6 last year and he was all fun and games dressing like a ref during a press conference, throwing flags and blowing the whistle at questions he didn’t like. Then you throw in all the screw ups, like reaching the ball over the goal line when Rhule explicitly said he coaches not to do that. Not to mention going 0-8 in games when he had the ball with a chance to score or tie. It’s actually refreshing as hell to see a FO not settling for mediocrity. Imagine if we had this type of urgency when we actually had a top tier QB with zero weapons outside of Greg Olsen.

David Newton questions McCaffrey's support of Bridgewater

True but to be fair to Joe he has done better work since moving to the athletic. -
David Newton questions McCaffrey's support of Bridgewater

I agree they don’t give a poo about the panthers. I do think being a cookie cutter older white dude has everything to do with him landing and keeping that job, subconsciously or not by ESPN. Not trying to turn this into a tinderbox discussion, just wondering to myself how he even has this job after all these years of being god awful. -
David Newton questions McCaffrey's support of Bridgewater

David Newton is such an idiot. Imagine falling into a job covering a professional sports team for the largest sports media company in the country and being terrible at that job with no repercussions. Sounds about white. -
Fwiw I went back and read several 2017 mock drafts from major outlets, and nearly every one had Mitch as the first QB going off the board, followed by Watson and then Mahomes falling into the 20s. Walter football even said many teams had a second round grade on Mahomes. The consensus was Mahomes would need a few years to sit on the bench to learn the game. Well a few years later and Mahomes is vying for his second MVP and second Super Bowl. All that to say, no one knows who the hell is going to be the best QB in this class and it very may damn well be Trey Lance.

Love the aggressiveness. The Panthers have never had an owner and FO with this mindset, and they’ve also never had consecutive winning seasons in 25 years. It’s about time we had an FO and owner truly devoted to a sustained winning culture. We’ll see if they can get it done.

hence why I said “maybe”

Chinn, Burns and Brown I assume are untouchable. Maybe they’d take CMC instead.

The only thing for certain is no one including the NFL GMs know what the fug is going to happen until draft night.

Rams feel like they’re a QB away from a super bowl. Can’t be mad at them going all-in for it.

Matt Rhule turning heads at the senior bowl...
Cary Kollins replied to Cooby's topic in Carolina Panthers
I somehow like Rhule more after seeing those videos. Did that guy really write an article about a football coach yelling at players? -
It’s refreshing to have an org willing to admit mistakes.
Cary Kollins replied to Tbe's topic in Carolina Panthers
Damn right. Accountability starts at the top, and under prior ownership/coaching it was always “missed opportunities” or an owner more concerned with the bottom line than a winning team. -
I mean, it’s literally a direct knock on Cam. “As great as Cam could be he was worse than Delhomme at fourth quarter comebacks”. That’s almost word for word Voth’s tweet. It is a dumb stat, and just a stat, but it feels like a holdover from the same old BS narratives folks have had about Cam since he came into the league.

Oh no, we suck again. Surprise surprise

Gantt weighs in on Deshaun Watson and Matt Stafford
Cary Kollins replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fwiw I asked a couple friends, two who are lions fans and two packers fans and they all really like stafford and echoed Gantt’s take. -
This roster is just not very good, but at least we have two players to build around in Ball and Hayward. Bridges reminds me too much of Gerald Henderson. Being an explosive dunker only gets you so far. Washington looks like a player just happy to be there. No killer instinct whatsoever. He’d be a bench player on any western conference playoff team. Graham and Rozier have nice flashes but are way to inconsistent. Again, they seem more fit to be bench players on any decent NBA team. Zeller and Biyombo, not playoff quality starters. As someone on twitter said last night, this team plays hard but they don’t play smart.
-
He’s not wrong. Go look at any draft in the past ten years and you see a whole bunch of randos mixed with solid players between picks 20-40.
-
Fug yes. Look what Beane did in Buffalo with the Diggs trade. How many offseasons with Cam did we dream about Carolina trading for or acquiring a marquee WR?
-
First and second choice would be Watson or drafting a QB in the top ten, but outside of that Stafford would be a solid option that could make this team a playoff contender right away. I think with Joe Brady calling plays and the skill players on the roster, Stafford could take this team to the next level.

He’ll wind up with the Chiefs or something, play well and win a Super Bowl.
