The NFL's Biggest Pot Smokers are...
Cary Kollins replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
“pot” lol -
He’s a manipulative diva, literally everything people said Cam was except it’s true. He’s had some nice games but seems to require the best defense of all time to win a super bowl; when he’s not throwing a game-losing interception from the one yard line that is.

No thanks

It’s eerie how similar Cam and Lamelo’s rookie seasons are in some ways. I remember in 2011 Bill Simmons mentioned how Cam had made the Panthers required viewing each week because he could make a big play at any given moment. Now the entire NBA world has raved about how the Hornets are the most exciting team to watch because of Lamelo. So two young stars lifting their franchises out of irrelevancy from day one. I would say Cam’s rookie year was better because he set all kinds of records for a rookie, especially at a time when it wasn’t as common for a rookie QB to start right away.

Keep monk, trade Graham. The team is playing its best basketball with Graham in street clothes. Why mess up a good thing if you can help it?

Teddy Bridgewater likely on the outs in Carolina
Cary Kollins replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Allen had already proven he was not a starting QB even when healthy. Cam’s health was the question. Rolling with Allen as the starter was never an option. -
Teddy Bridgewater likely on the outs in Carolina

sure, point remains signing Teddy to that contract was an awful decision. Just because it nets a backend third round comp pick doesn’t change that fact. -

Does mid third rounder turn into Will Grier or an NFL player? -
Teddy Bridgewater likely on the outs in Carolina
Cary Kollins replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
I guess in three or four years we’ll know? Convoluted way to look at it. Bridgewater was an atrocious signing in hindsight. No getting around it. I mean, it got Hurney fired again so maybe it was actually a great move. Same logic with the comp pick. -
Teddy Bridgewater likely on the outs in Carolina
Cary Kollins replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Arguably no he’s not. But assuming Bridgewater is better, the Panthers are still desperate to get rid of him even though he’s gonna cost us a poo load in dead money next season. If Cam sucked last season, he would be gone and the books would be clean. -

What a disaster of a decision to pay Bridgewater starting QB money instead of letting Cam play out his remaining year. -
Panthers "a top candidate" for HBO's Hard Knocks
Cary Kollins replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Love it. Great exposure for the franchise and awesome for fans of the team and the sport. I’m sure Tepper would jump all over it, after Amazon’s All or Nothing and the behind the scenes work the Panthers media already puts out. -
Cam Newton says he “intimidated” Panthers...
Cary Kollins replied to DFive's topic in Carolina Panthers
What argument is it you think I’m trying to make? Seems you’re confused as to my original point or just making up a straw man based on other people’s posts. -
Cam Newton says he “intimidated” Panthers...
Cary Kollins replied to DFive's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes of course. Teams are not going to pay market starting QB money to someone with injury concerns based on videos or a third party doctors opinion. It’s not that hard to understand, but if you guys want to be confused do you. -
So obviously the Hornets coaches know a little about basketball. So is the issue guarding the three just a personnel thing? Is there another defense they could play that could help? I realize they don’t have great rim protectors. I know they don’t enjoy teams setting franchise records for made threes against them every other week.

PFT: Seahawks want three #1 as starting point for Wilson trade.
Cary Kollins replied to SCO96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hell no to three firsts. One and later rounds, sure. Wilson is not Aaron Rodgers-tier and never will be. -
Cam Newton says he “intimidated” Panthers...
Cary Kollins replied to DFive's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pretty dumb to mention teams not signing Cam without mentioning the unprecedented nature of Covid-19 eliminating any chance to test and evaluate a player in person, especially because Cam was coming off two lost seasons due to injury. Basically no one had any idea how healthy he was. After two games in to last season it looked like MVP Cam was back. Then he got Covid, Edelman got hurt, maybe his shoulder acted up again, but it was all downhill from there. -
I mean it would be brutal but the odds of that happening are the same as Trevor Lawrence dropping to us at pick 8.

Do it.gif those a-holes deserve him

Peter King on Panthers and Deshaun Watson
Cary Kollins replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wow huge news, I had been waiting on Peter King’s take. -
Dolphins have received many calls for pick number 3
Cary Kollins replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep, pretty much all because Rivera made an awful decision to start Haskins against us. The stink of Rivera gonna linger just a bit longer. -
Power to the players. It’s about damn time. I don’t recall many folks having an issue when Eli’s daddy dictated which teams he would and would not play for.

Meh, Chiefs traded way up to get their guy a couple years back and it worked out. If you think he’s your guy, do what it takes to get him.

Covid plague aside, good for them, must be nice
