  1. I still think it’s going to be a very bad team and I’m going to let myself be pleasantly surprised
  2. Panthers are addressing the pass rusher position just like they addressed the WR position last season. Sign veterans in the twilight of their careers.
  3. I’ve been looking at the Steelers fan sentiment since they traded him to the Panthers and by and large they seem to agree this was a punishment trade. Johnson complained he wasn’t getting the ball enough last season and openly quit on plays. https://x.com/prosportsgoats/status/1728865242137198767?s=46&t=04sKNnhiiGcTDblLYKGiJQ He also got into several locker room arguments and fights with his teammates. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10098744-diontae-johnson-talks-viral-video-of-steelers-fumble-rumors-of-locker-room-argument.amp.html https://steelersdepot.com/2023/02/diontae-johnson-denies-allegation-he-punched-mitch-trubisky-before-jets-game/ So if he had issues on a team like the Steelers with a lot of veteran leaders and established head coach, what kind of attitude will he have with a young rookie head coach and GM? He’s a top 5 route runner from everything I’ve seen of him on the field, but off the field he could be a locker room cancer if things don’t go well. Not sure how excited he is to be on the Panthers to begin with.
  4. If Dionte Johnson decides to stop playing football or is old and sucks now. It’s possible.
  5. Finally, a trade the Panthers are not on the losing end of
  6. I mean they are deep at DT I'll say that.
  7. They have to draft a center this year. It’s time.
  8. It’s all on Bryce. If they get some playmakers, scheme around his weaknesses and he takes the next step, and replace all they lost on defense, it might be a 2-3 win season like last year. It’s shaping up to be a very rough season again.
  9. Burns phoned it in after the first half of the first game so I’m down with trading him it’s just the leverage that we missed out on not trading him to the Rams. The Panthers continue to make the wrong moves at the wrong time
  10. Good almighty Christ we could have had two firsts and a second for this dude
  11. Thanks I just logged on to check updates today and there seems to have been a lot more action than I expected. I miss the days when the Panthers were quiet during these days. Good teams don't make these types of splashes and moves.
  12. Scott Fitterer missed that boat with the Rams trade but hey we had all those cute memes the team put out like "In Fitt We Trust" and "Gettin' Fitty wit it" when they traded up to the first overall pick last year.
  13. Watch this be the worst trade in NFL history and it's actually the Panthers giving up draft resources to trade Brian Burns away hahahahah
  14. Vonn Bell not on the roster anymore or did I miss something
  15. Luvu walking sucks. He's a dawg.
  16. Hopefully Tepper's spies on the Huddle read this
  17. Darnold performed well in 2022 when he was supported by a run-first offense and wasn't asked to win games by himself. He could be a very good QB on a team like Minnesota that will put a lot of talent around him. But if Kevin O'Connell is going to try to throw the ball 70% of the game, Darnold is going to look like he always has.
  18. I don’t know enough about NFL QB throwing mechanics to know how good or bad Bryce’s are but I can say that from watching QB’s like Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes that no one cares about mechanics if you deliver dimes.
  19. It’s the same thing I kept saying all offseason last year. When I watched Bryce and specifically his game against Texas in 2022, I saw a QB who could not handle pressure. There are many reasons for this but the biggest factor is his height. He cannot see over his lineman if he steps up in the pocket to evade pressure. This was evident during his entire rookie season. We routinely saw Young scrambling out of the pocket when facing pressure or just getting sacked frequently. Albeit, the guard play was atrocious so that was a big factor. But I would like to see how he performs if that improves. Regardless, due to his stature he requires deep drops to scan the whole field. He needs excellent guard play, and receivers who run crisp routes and create yards after the catch to be successful. He honestly needs the Saints offense of the late 2000s and early 2010s. He needs a coach who can scheme around his physical limitations and yes, lack of arm strength. Young was not a #1 overall talent and I saw it in college. I have no idea how this got missed so thoroughly by the NFL at large because I’m just some dipshit loser who has never worked in football in any professional capacity.
  20. True because one even mentioned Bryce’s college performances as a reason he could still be successful in the pros Although it doesn’t take away that the Panthers were an unbridled garbage factory last year
  21. Just goes to show how badly the Panthers have been managed. DJ Moore was an above average WR on a reasonable contract and they traded him away before drafting a rookie QB. I have no doubt that Bryce Young would have had a better season with a WR of Moore’s talent level on the team.
