  1. There's needs, and then there's upgrades. CB still has 4-5 rostered players so that's a position that needs some upgrading. O-Line and LB are literally paper thin and might not even be able to fill out a gameday roster, and are thus bigger needs.
  2. LB is a huge area of need. Maybe the 2nd biggest on the team behind O-Line. CB is the 3rd biggest need. I'm not sure Shaq is as good as gone but maybe his contract gets restructured. Way too many other holes on the roster to let go of a decent LB in my opinion. But we'll see I guess. I think KJ Wright from the Seahawks is a veteran target we could see being signed. Panthers will need to draft LB talent and Parsons could be a target as well.
  3. Well to frankly be honest the prices being discussed are f*cking ridiculous for any one player.
  4. Yea man for sure, the PGA store here in Austin had a burst pipe and 3 in of standing water in the store for days. They’re closed for at least 2 months.
  5. God damn have y’all lost your minds?? I’m definitely in favor of trading for Watson but at the current price tags being discussed it’s absolutely ridiculous. Hard pass. I’m going on record to say that the likelihood that giving up 3-4 first round draft picks and good young players for 1 QB has a VERY high likelihood of failure.
  6. If the Panthers pay an exorbitant price for Watson and it doesn’t work out, the team might take decades to recover. I’m very much against it. What the Panthers offered in the Stafford trade was a price I thought was reasonable. Rams upped the ante because they’re insane. But now, the Panthers might drop what, 4 first round picks or more? Quality young starters? I know who is going to win that trade, and it won’t be the Panthers. I really really hope this isn’t true.
  7. Really depends on how old and well built your house is. Some folks said temps hovered in the 50s without heat, others had the water in their toilets freeze inside the house. We had temps that were in single digits and temps that didn’t make it above freezing for a week. We have a relatively well insulated brick house with new double pane vinyl windows and we still got rocked by the cold.
  8. right I agree the Panthers would have won more games with Watson than Teddy last year, that's a given, but enough to put the Panthers in the playoffs? No I definitely disagree. The defense was terrible most of the year, went an insane amount of time without forcing even a punt, 3rd and longs were a given most of the time. If you really think the team would be that much better with a better QB I really think you should examine the rest of the roster. 7-9/8-8 isn't worth dumping 3-4 first round picks for. Team needs to get a lot better around the QB spot.
  9. Is Carolina’s roster that much better than Houston’s roster? Maybe a few more pieces on offense, O-Line is non existent. Defense isn’t good. It’s not like Watson is stepping onto a vastly improved team.
  10. Maybe 2-3 more. Teddy played pretty well in some of the close losses in the first half of the season. Minnesota game definitely flips to a win with better QB play, maybe the Broncos game. I really don’t think it’s as big of a difference as people think, the Panthers roster is really bad outside of a couple position groups.
  11. Panthers don’t need to be mortgaging the future for any QB right now. Roster is void of talent and any QB is going to suck balls on a garbage team. Maybe in 3-4 years after some talent is stocked and developed the Panthers can trade for a big time QB if they don’t have one already.
  12. of course, tiger is a well known pill popper. dude had back surgery in Jan and def had a painkiller prescription
  13. Same, I just hope they don’t trade away a half decade worth of first round picks for a player that might not even be relevant by the time the team has a first round pick again. Deshaun has already torn an ACL and we saw how fast injuries can end a promising young QBs career.
  14. he needs to go to rehab for his drug addiction
  15. Good time to get in, the OTC market was way down especially yesterday
  16. Now that it’s in the 80s in Texas again I feel I can start to decompress from a hellacious week last week. We had 6in of snow in temps hovering around 10 degrees in Austin last week. Our power went out at 2am on Monday 2/15 and didn’t come back on until around 4am Thursday 2/18. We had temps in the house right around freezing overnight. Luckily we have a wood burning fireplace and our cool neighbors were willing to share firewood with us, and we still had gas service so our stove and water heater still worked which was CRUCIAL!! We had frozen pipes in our house and had one working sink in the interior of the house. Some sediment backed up into our drains which was really weird. But once we started to thaw out none of our pipes burst so I feel very lucky. Worst we had was some tree limbs come down from an old ash tree in our front yard that we ended up just getting removed entirely. We know several people who had burst pipes and ruined their entire house. A lot of exterior tankless water heaters froze and burst. And a friend of ours had their car stolen. So overall I feel pretty fortunate when others weren’t so lucky. F*ck Texas’s leadership gaslighting the wind and solar industry when natural gas failed us just as much, and f*ck Ted Cruz and other cowards for leaving the state during a disaster.
  17. maybe matt can convince people to do a princess bride sequel now
  18. Teddy needs to be the backup to Fields or Trey Lance
  19. I don't see the Panthers trading away that much draft capital. And if they do, it's going to be a tough time digging out of it if Watson tears his ACL again or Prescott's ankle isn't healed. Would rather just draft Trey Lance or just build the roster up and be patient finding a franchise QB.
