Darnold has played well like I said. But it’s easier to look good when the defense is dominating and CMC is putting up 150-200 yards a game. Let’s see how he progresses through the season before we take a victory lap yea?

I wish you didn't post this I just vomited all over myself looking at that disgusting low IQ piece of swamp trash

It’s been 2 games

Carolina opens at 7.5 favorite over Houston
hepcat replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Houston would have been a tougher game with Ty-god at QB but Davis Mills is about to have a rude welcome to the NFL in his first start. If there’s one thing this Panthers defense has proven it can do so far this season, it’s get to the QB. -
Darnold has played well but let’s not kid ourselves it’s easier to look good when you have CMC putting up like 200 yards a game and a dominant defense. I can’t wait to see how Darnold plays when the chips are down and we need him to bring the team back from behind at the end. If he pulls it off I’m ready to give him the credit he deserves.

Burns bulked up from what I understand which helped. So did Shaq. Defense definitely looks bigger on the field than last year.

That thread made me feel so many feelings
-
I was more nervous about this whole 3-4 formation Rivera was trying to do when he drafted Burns and I was worried he wouldn’t fit in as a 4-3 end
-
That’s a brain damage move by that head coach

Dallas is a different team with Dak. They still make a bunch of mistakes and aren't a complete unit but their defense is more talented than last year and they have weapons on offense. Will be a good barometer game for the Panthers after a hot start.
-
I've seen enough Panthers seasons to know it's waaaayyy too early to know. The schedule is pretty favorable though so it's definitely in the conversation though.

Donald LaFell, Bruton Breslin. Or was that Sam Rosen

How do you stop that? That was a Tasmanian devil spin

I rewatched that Minnesota game over the offseason and Slye got freaked out because he had one blocked in that game. The final kick flew way off to the side because of the fear of it getting blocked from earlier in the game
-
Lol we face Joey Slye on Thursday night. He missed a short FG on Sunday for the Texans. Watch him boot like three 60yd FGs for an inept Texans offense on Thursday
-
Really curious how this team does on the road against Houston. On paper it's a game the Panthers should win without any real concern. But that's why they play the games and I expect it to be a closer game that people might predict even with the rookie QB. Dallas could go either way. They're light years better on offense with Dak of course, but also better than last year on defense. Parsons was playing DE yesterday and made an impact.

1st round next year has to be either a LT or OG if the talent is there. O-Line talent will have to be the top offseason priority.
-
You're not wrong about the O-Line struggling in short yardage situations. I'd like to see them bring in Deonte Brown in short yardage. The fact they aren't even giving him some snaps right now is frustrating. Let him come on on 1st and Goal and see how he does.
-
He also made a good tackle on that blocked FG.
-
Frustrated about pounding CMC at the goal line. He's not a power back. I was actually dreaming about bringing back Cam just to be a goal line threat.
-
I'm talking about Freeman not Chuba
-
correct me if I'm wrong but they didn't even hand him the ball to my knowledge?
-
Don't put him in to block put him in to go pound the damn rock into the end zone
-
College defense or not that defense completely shut down the Saints offense.
